After that little act, Adam and Ysabel headed down to the crime scene. It had been mostly cleaned up since the cops had been called about it early in the morning. The body of Trevor had already been picked up and moved to the city morgue, where it would be autopsied and family would try to be contacted. They were told the generalized details of it. They spent a good majority of the morning working with the officers assigned to it... but the detectives involved didn't want them doing much. Apparently, the idea of Adam finding out anything before they did wasn't desired.

On the other side of things, the blockade that Darius had threatened to the little group....apparently wasn't happening. Life in LA continued as usual.... and there were no call offs of airplanes and the interstates were all still opened. Had it been an empty threat...? It certainly seemed that way, as no one in the LAPD was privy to the information.

By afternoon, while the others were still on the road, Adam and Ysabel were on traffic duty. Adam had requested time off for the next couple of days, which he informed Ysabel about while sitting on a highway off ramp. She'd be by herself, probably doing traffic until Adam returned.

Their day was relatively boring. Nothing else happened and they weren't informed about any more details regarding Trevor's murder. It was pre-emptively judged as a random occurrence; wrong place wrong time kind of thing. The thug that had killed him was probably some strung out druggie looking for an easy target to pick off some cash for a fix.

Adam and Ysabel were still sitting in the car on a highway, shooting traffic speeds. He was getting bored... and his 'good mood' had worn off sometime a few hours ago. He was back to being as big an ass as usual.

After he had gotten off the phone with Adam, Saul had spent the day packing and gathering up Zeke and his wife. He packed them up into his car, and they left straight away.He only had about a couple of more days of leave left before he had to go back, so he didn't have time to pussyfoot around. He stayed up all night driving, sending his younger brother an evil glare when he asked to drive. This car was his baby. He wasn't letting his fucktard of a brother wreck her. He banished Zeke to the small back seat, leaving Marie the passenger seat which Zeke constantly whined about.

Finally, after many hours, they had made it to LA. Both Zeke and Marie were passed out sleeping so he figured now was the perfect time to contact Adam. Picking up his cell phone, he quickly dialed Jensine's number and impatiently waited for him to pick up the damn phone.

Ysabel was bored. After the eventful even that was this morning, things quickly died down. They weren't really allowed on David's case, the detectives being a bunch of pendejo's and shutting them out. They dismissed it as some kind of fluke. But she was pretty sure that flukes didn't involve cutting a person's head off. Oh well, she wasn't going to get involved. It'd be bad for her and she already had a strike or two against her. So she kept her mouth shut and focused on her job.

Adam was simply waiting, watching the radar as it shot off numbers at him. They hadn't caught anyone yet...unusual for an afternoon on the highway in LA.

He heard his personal phone ring and smirked slightly, pushing the radar gun into Ysabel's hands as he pulled out his phone. "It's about fucking time. You fuckin' here yet?" Ysabel would notice the oddly...almost...'normal' tone with which Adam spoke. It might have even been...friendly. Sort of.

"Shut the fuck up, Jensine. I had to deal with Mr. Whiney pants in the back seat." Saul grunted, but there was a small smirk on his face. "I'm in La. Where the fuck am I meeting you? God-damned liberal! Watch the hell where you're going!" he shouted as he slammed on his brakes and layed on the horn. Cursing up a stream, he swerved to the other lane, and flipped the dumb bitch off. "Anyways, where am I meeting you?"

Ysabel looked over as Adam answered his phone, and hearing the friendly, or at least what went for friendly with him, tone in his voice. Jensine had friends? Who would have thought?

Daniel spent a good few hours alone with the radio and his thoughts. Way too many thoughts. He glanced back at Sydney every once and a while to ensure she was still breathing. Keira stirred a bit, rubbing at her eyes as she sat up a little. "Morning sunshine...."

She gave him a weak glare as she popped an earbud out of her ear, "How much longer until the first stop??" She asked, her voice scratchy from sleep.

"Not much longer....then we can let you out of your cage to run around..." he grinned. He got a middle finger in return.

Adam had a smirk of his own as he heard Saul bitching out another driver. "You clearly don't fucking come to LA that much... and seriously, stop giving me shit excuses. You should've been here at least two hours ago...if you knew how to fucking drive that piece of shit you call a car. Let's see....why don't you just head to my apartment? You remember where it is, dumbass? It's on Washington and Green. I'll meet you there." Adam abruptly hung up, putting the car instantly into gear as a red GTO with black racing stripes came flying down the highway. No...he hadn't chosen this highway on purpose....

Adam allowed the GTO to go past....and to be honest, on a normal day, he would never consider pulling it over. It wasn't going that far over the limit...but today...he was going to. He smirked and glanced at Ysabel. "Hold on." He waited a pause....two....then he flipped the lights on and peeled out on the on ramp, flying onto the highway after the red muscle car.

Ben was the next to wake up considering he got more sleep than the other two in the front seat. He had felt Keira shifting next to him and it caused his eyes to open. He blinked as he looked over at Keira before up to the front seat where Daniel was seated. "How long have we been on the road?" he croaked out, having to clear his throat.

"Yea. Who was the one who beat who last time in this lame ass car?! And no I don't come here often. Why the fuck would I?" Saul growled as he rolled his eyes. "See you there." he said shortly as he hung up and tossed his phone onto the dash. Shifting into a different gear, he passed several slow fucks, making sure not to have too much fun.

That was when he heard it. Looking behind him, he saw the lights and cursed. He wasn't going that fast! Unless... "That son of a bitch!" he yelled and promptly woke up the loudly snoring Zeke.

"Wha?"

"Go back to sleep." Saul said as he... simply ignore the cop and went faster. He knew EXACTLY who that was in the car behind him. That little pussy... A smirk came to his face as he shifted gears again, figuring he'd at least give the bastard a run for his money.

Ysabel watched Adam with a raised eyebrow as he talked to the person on the phone. She decided to stay out of it for once in her life. It was a miracle that she wasn't being nosy. When Adam decided to go after the pretty classic car... that looked oddly familiar to her she shrugged. "Whatever you say." she said. Her best friend had a car that looked exactly like that. Huh...

Adam watched as the car sped up....and his smirk grew. What a dumbfuck...it didn't matter if he'd tweaked the car to go faster than the speed of light...it couldn't outrun his brand new Dodge Charger patrol car; these things were built for chases.

With barely any encouraging, Adam sent the car going faster and faster, maneuvering around confused traffic. They were probably thinking this was going to be an awesome car chase... but Adam was just fucking with Saul. With the lights and sirens blaring, Adam pulled up right behind the GTO, close enough that if Saul hit the brakes for any reason, he and Ysabel would end up in their backseat....right through the windshield.

Sydney was absolutely on fire. She could feel the sweat pouring out of her glands...her torn t-shirt and jeans sticking to her soaked body. Her dreams....no...they were nightmares. Nightmares of the thugs grabbing at her, tearing her clothes, trying to see who was the first to get them off. And that man....the good looking Asian one, just standing in the back...observing. He'd eventually stopped them...but it was only after they'd beaten her half senseless. She couldn't even fight back. Something had been injected into her to stop her from even thinking about it.

On the outside, she was sweating profusely... her heart rate was faster now. Much faster. It was racing....and she was occasionally twitching uncontrollably... but she wasn't waking.

Saul smirked as the fucktard behind him closed the distance between them. What Jensine didn't know is that Saul had been working on Neecy's ((o.O Didn't know he had named her!)) engine lately. It was completely new. And completely illegal. There were more horses in her than should ever be allowed. Shifting gears again, he smoothly swapped lanes and put about two or three cars between them as his smirk widened. This was a fun game he hadn't played in a little while...

Adam's eyebrows actually raised as Saul took off, switching lanes and putting distance between them. Well... wasn't that interesting...and illegal. To see the look on his face when Adam handed him a ticket....it was almost worth the paperwork and the possible fist fight they'd get into. It was all in good fun though... they'd duked it out back in the military...and ever since then, had been pretty tight...at least for Adam. He didn't really have 'friends'. That never worked out for him.

But with Saul, a fight now would be more like a fight between brothers. They'd try to beat the shit out of each other....and laugh over a beer over it later. Well. Smirk. Laughing was a bit much.

Focusing back on the chase, Adam pushed the car even more. It wasn't even complaining against him yet. He hadn't let it go since he'd gotten it a few months ago... no one ever tried to run from him. He cut the distance again, having an easier time catching up than Saul might've liked. Traffic moved for Adam and his sirens....
