Ben shrugged, not finding a problem with it as he randomly kissed the top of Kiera's head as he passed her to go sit on the stool that was in front of the counter. When she asked for his input he looked over with a shrug. "Uhh... I don't care. You guys can put in whatever. I'll watch all three." he told them.

Keira shrugged and looked back to Daniel, "Gimpy's choice then...." she cracked a small smirk as he shook his head.

"Depending on what you guys have here....that might just be a dangerous move." He chuckled, heading into the kitchen and leaving the two of them alone for the moment. Now...what did he want to watch?

Keira laughed softly, looking back to Ben with a small shrug, "It is kind of dangerous to let him pick but...he usually does okay." She mused, playing with the chain on her locket. Though she was one of the best liars in the business, around people she cared about she could never truly hide her discomfort in lying and hiding emotion and often fidgeted.

Ben smiled as he watched Daniel leave before turning back to Keira. "I'm sure it won't be that bad." he assured her as he watched her. Even though he wasn't the most... observant of people, even he could tell something was wrong with Keira.

"What's wrong, Belle?" he asked her. Hopping off of the stool, he walked over until he was standing in front of her and tilted her chin up with his fingers lightly. "Something's obviously bothering you." he said quietly.

Keira looked up at him with a small smile, "I'm fine, Ben...." she answered softly, hand dropping from her locket as if she suddenly registered what she was doing. She let out a small chuckle, "I have a lot bothering me currently but," she shrugged a little, "nothing that can't be tackled later..." She mused, there was something in the way she played with her belt loops and rocking. As if she was trying too hard to look relaxed even as her voice nor her eyes didn't betray her. To admit she was scared for him. Frankly more than she thought she should after less than a week. It was going to open a whole can of worms of admitting things.....

Ben watched her with his dark eyes, thinking that he should just let it go. But... she was obviously not fine. And it bothered him that she was upset. He wanted to fix it. "Belle... tell me what's wrong." he told her softly as he tucked some of her hair behind her ear. "Something seems to really be bothering you."

Its not supposed to be bothering me...not this bad... Her smile vanished as he called her out, looking away for a few moments as she thought over her words. Finally she looked up at him, her body tensing a little, "You. You are what's bothering me." she told him softly, shaking her head a little. "You retreat at any type of confrontation....why step up now? Why put your life on the line now?" her voice cracked a little, "I know its what's probably best and probably safest but I've seen what happens when people push their powers too hard too fast...its not pretty...."

Ben blinked, a flicker of surprise seen in his eyes at her words as he looked at her. He was bothering her. When she explained furthered, he understood. Okay... it was the problem from earlier. He didn't say anything at first, trying to find a way to describe it. "I do. I know when I'm outnumbered or when I don't stand a chance." he agreed. "But... I feel like a damsel in distress. I'm tired of always being the one who stands in the background and does nothing but be a burden. But this." he waves his hand. "I actually have a chance to be helpful." he told her quietly, and you could see how much this meant to him. To be able to step up and help. "And for a even the smallest chance to make things safer for you. I'll take it." he said softly as he brushed his thumb over her cheek, giving her a tender look. "And about the powers... I know it's a risk, but that's why we're going to test it out today. I admit. I want to know how powerful this talent of mine is."

Keira listened to him, biting the inside of her bottom lip as he continued. She took a deep breath as he finished, "Every time I think this over in my head I feel sick to my stomach." she admitted, her eyes conflicted, "I don't want you risking everything over me..." Her voice was much softer, "I know you want to help, and I want you to but..." She'd seen the look in his eyes; how much it meant to him to help. "I can't help that I'm scared for you..." she said, sounding like it was the hardest thing for her to admit. "If you do this, if you really commit to this, you have to promise me you'll be cautious about this. Promise me." She looked into his eyes then, her voice soft but had an urgent edge.

Ben softened slightly as she admitted that she was scared for him. He didn't want her to be scared, but he knew that if he went on with this, he couldn't get to not be scared. Nodding his head, he caressed the side of her face with his hand. "I promise to be careful. I know that being careless is a dumb idea. It's another reason why I agreed to test things out today." he told her as he leaned in and gave her a soft kiss. "I'll be okay. Okay?" he asked as he pulled back. "We'll take it slow."

Keira nodded a little as he pulled back, "I....Okay..." she agreed finally, her voice barely above a whisper. She wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his chest. Her stomach settled just enough for her heart to stop pounding into her throat. He'd promised, though...She let out a shaky breath, realizing this was what she'd put him through, them all through, if she had the chance to do it her way. In the end this was her fight. One she should've ended when she'd had the chance...She looked up at him, wondering how on earth this guy had gotten her to fall so fast and so quickly and yet make it feel so normal. Natural, even. "Okay."
