Aeryn glared at Damien, muttering something about 'bossy assholes', but followed them back to their place anyways. She'd have to go back to her place sometime tonight, she could stay with them for a little while. By the time they managed to make it to their apartment, Aeryn had somewhat cooled down, unlike her friend it seemed.

She walked in quietly and moved to go sit on the couch, rubbing her face with her hands as she got ahold of herself better. She looked over to see Kiera, and raised her eyebrow. "Feel better?" she asked in a dry tone, almost sounding like she wanted to start a fight.

By this time, Ben had paid for his meal and left the diner, just meandering down the streets, earbuds back in his ears. He should probably head back to the college apartments where he was rooming, but he didn't want to. He thumbed the paper in his pocket with the chick's number on it. What would he do about that? Would he even do anything about it?

"How the hell am I an asshole for inviting you back?!" Damien rolled his eyes. Girls...He waved off their downstairs neighbor as they went up. He saw Keira in the kitchen, sitting on the counter downing what seemed to be her second can of soda.

She looked to Aeryn, shrugging slightly as she looked over to Damien, "I guess..." she grumbled, finally getting down and nearly tackling him as she hugged him. She couldn't stand being mad at him. He was her annoying big brother, whether she liked it or not.

He let out a huff of air, rolling his eyes as he wrapped an arm around her. "You're an aggrivating little pipsqueak...." he mused, laughing as she flipped him off and mumbled into his shirt before standing back up and letting go, taking a deep breath.

"So, what do we do now?" she asked softly, suddenly remembering she'd given the telaporter her number. She took the phone out of her pocket, making sure the volume was on.

Aeryn snorted as she watched Kiera tackled Damien, and with that snort, the last of her anger seemed to melt away. Literally. The blood in her veins melted and began to warm up. It was no longer dangerous to touch her. Finally relaxing, she sank into the couch as she looked over at the others. When Kiera asked what would they do, "The only thing we can do. Be very careful. We can't keep running. They're everywhere so what's the point? Besides, I'm so god damned tired of fucking running. Why can't we have a home and life just like anybody else?"

Ben seemed to finally make up his mind as he pulled the paper back out. Pausing his music, he pulled his phone out and called the number on the paper. Bringing the phone up to his ear, he heard the ring and waited for the girl to pick up. Uhh... what was her name? K something?

Kiera nodded, blinking as chewbaca roared out of her phone. "I'll be back in a moment..." she mused, walking into her room as she picked up the call. "Hey there Vegas." she laughed, having recognized the area code from her time on the strip. She flopped onto her stomach on her bed, for once actually looking her age.

Damien nodded, sitting down in the armchair as Keira disappeared. "She told the teleporter to reach out." he explained, shaking his head a little. "I agree. I'm tired of running, tired of looking over my shoulder constantly. I want to plant some roots, mainly for Kiera's sake. We've been on the run for close to two years, she needs a normal life. Hell, all of us do." he added on with a small chuckle. He pulled Claire's card out from his jeans, flipping it over in his hands.

((Interlude! for fun. xD And because I'm bored at work.))

Claire was silent in the car as Adam pulled away. He hadn't said a word...and she was wary to say one either. Finally, after five solid minutes of nothing but breathing, she turned to look at him. "You gonna explain that, Adam? That was unlike you. REALLY unlike you."

Adam was silent.

Claire huffed and looked back out the window. Another five minutes. They were close to her house. "Adam."

"I had a tip, Claire. I heard the call about the Feds. I knew you were there. I was coming for you. That warrant was old...outdated. If the blonde had looked at it closely, she would've seen the date was months ago. THe second one wasn't even his."

Claire looked back over to him, furrowing her brows under her glasses. "So...you ...protected them?"

"...I wouldn't go that far."

"But you did. And...I left my car at the scene. Shit. I'm gonna have a ticket."

"I'll take care of it. I'll come over later and we can go get it after I'm off." He pulled into her driveway and stopped the car.

"...Sure. Dinner?"

"We're not together, Claire. I'll eat dinner at home."

She sighed and got out of the car, pulling out her keys and heading inside. She knew what she was to Adam...but it still kind of hurt. Just a little though.

Aeryn watched with a raised eyebrow as Kiera's phone went off and she left them. When Damien explained who it was, she frowned. "I don't like that kid." she muttered before sighing and running her hand through her hair. She wish she had her brush on her. Such a simple activity and it always calmed her and made her feel better. "Roots and a normal life sound so amazing. I know I can never... get rid of this damned curse." she frowned as she looked at her hands. "But to not be singled out and killed over it would be nice." she agreed before noticing the card in his hand. She frowned as she leaned over and snatched it from him. Glancing it over, her eyes hardened. "What the fuck, Damien? Why the hell don't you burn this shit?" she asked as she tossed it back, obviously too disgusted to touch it.

Ben laughed at the greeting he got from the other end of the line. "Hello this Miss Psychic. Waiting on me to call or something?" he asked teasingly. It was about a half hour walk from where he was to his room, so he had some time. He wasn't opposed to walking. He would use the other way, but you never knew when something was being recorded by camera or when people were watching.

Kiera laughed, "Nah I'm not the phychic one..." she muses, rolling onto her back as she laughed harder at his second comment. "Oh yes, Vegas I've been absolutely dying to hear back from you." she teased, staring at her ceiling for a moment. "So I succeeded in piquing your interest, hmm??" she added, going over the warrents Adam had given her but she hadn't had time to read before he'd gotten in her face. She scowled, seeing one was for a Jon Cooper, the other way past it's date of verification. The asshole had a weird way of helping alright....

Damien sighed at her reaction, picking the card up from the floor as he shrugged. "Adam knows a lot more than he's letting on. I'm just so pissed when he's around I can't get an accurate read." he told her, holding the card between her fingers. "Claire hadn't a clue about what happened today. Something is off." he mumbled, pocketing it again. So many things just didn't make sense. Damien rested his head in his hands before standing, "Want anything?" he asked as he walked over to their mini kitchen.

Ben chuckled as he shoved his free hand into his pocket. "Okay okay! No need to kill my already bruised ego. I'm sensitive dammit." he teased before shrugging, forgetting that she couldn't see it. "Yea. I thought about it, and thought about it. Thought about it some more. I don't think I've done this much thinking well... ever." he snickered. "But, to answer your question, yes I am curious. What with all the cryptic, and crazy shit going on back at the diner. I was hoping for some answers." he admitted.

Aeryn growled at the reporters name as she worked to calm herself down again. "Still think you should burn it." she muttered. "I think we all lost our tempers out there. This is where Karen would have suggested counciling." she snorted at the thought of her foster mother. When he asked if she wanted anything, she leaned her head back on the couch to stare at him in the kitchen. "Got anything heavy like scotch or something? I could really use a fucking drink right now."

"Girl after my own heart...." he chuckled, grabbing two glasses and a bottle of scotch. He set them down on the coffee table, handing her hers while he poured his. He sat back in his chair, chuckling a little. "you think?" he shook as her took a shot, reveling in the burn down his throat.

Keira laughed, listening to him ramble on, "Awww I'm sorry, you're an athlete, I forgot." she mused, an obvious joking edge to her voice. She sighed, putting the warrents down as she answered. "We're not quote un quote normal. You're a teleporter, no?" She asked bluntly, though she knew the answer. "I can speak to plants and control them. You're talking to a real life poison ivy right here." Keira chuckled, waiting for it to sink in. "Look, I know it can be hard in a new city for someone like us right now, even of they're mister baseball star. I wanted to let you know you're not alone."

((More boredom!))

Claire sighed as she shut the door and heard Adam's cruiser back out of the driveway. Work. You're doing so well with him, you can't give him up. Much as you'd like to....or would you? She tossed her bag and keys onto the table. The lights had automatically adjusting for her settings when the door opened; this house alone had cost more than 3/4s of the people she knew would ever make in a year.Ultra-modern, ultra-sleek. Everything was almost futuristic. It had been a gift for her...from her ex-stepfather. She still kept on good terms...mostly for the house. He paid for it...so she couldn't rightly tell him to go jump off a bridge.

She walked into the kitchen and sighed when she realized her phone was in her bag. Holding out her hand, she focused...mentally picturing the phone. When the picture solidified in her mind, she pulled it to her. Sliding out of her bag, the phone flew across the house and into her hand. ALl this time, she continued flipping through her mail. When the phone was in her hand, she checked it...then set it down on the counter as she leaned on her elbow to flip through a magazine. What was she going to do now...? Just wait on pins and needles for Adam...like usual?
