((I get it, I get it! Took me a bit to concentrate on that part of the post xD But I get it!))

Ysabel was as quiet as a mouse as she headed down the stairs, a master of sneaking if she did say so herself. What she saw stopped her in her tracks. A swimming pool. They had a huge ass pool in their basement? How awesome was that?! Okay... she lied. In reality, the pool was NOT the first thing she noticed. It was the second.

The first thing she noticed was a stripping Adam who was now only wearing a pair of swim trunks. Her dirty little mind wished he would take those off too, but she highly doubted that was going to happen. She tilted her head and took her time checking him out, an appreciative smirk on her face, arms crossed over her chest as she leaned against the cool, cement wall. She stayed to the shadows and was completely quiet, so he would never know she was there spying on him and checking him out like a creep. When he moved his arms, she noticed the scarring with a frown. Huh... she wondered what had happened there? They looked like... burn marks?

Ben smiled with a nod. "Sure thing. Remember to keep your hands and feet tucked inside the ride at all times." he winked playfully as he took her hand and teleported them back to their apartment where Daniel was waiting for them. He blinked, not as put out as last night when he shifted Aeryn with them as well, but he did have to pause to gather his breath.

Claire scowled as the men yanked her up to her feet and started dragging her off. Yeah, 'you can trust me'. What bullshit. This was a torture facility....she wasn't stupid.

When she looked around, as she tried to do now without a blindfold, her eyes focused on a black haired man tormenting a guard. That man....looked oddly familiar. Had she ever seen him before? She didn't really want to think about it. Her anxiety was too high. Was Lindsey really here...?! Oh they'd have to break out. Somehow. They could do it. She'd do anything for her.... just to see her again...

Adam didn't notice Ysabel. He didn't even bother to look back. Why should he? He was one of like...three people who used the pool so no one was ever down here. He preferred late night swims anyways.

Heading over to the small diving board, he stepped up onto it, did another quick stretch, then dove into the water. He came up a few seconds later and started his laps, completely oblivious to the world around him. Water was the one thing he could be in that didn't agitate his .....unique....'ability'. If that's what being cursed was called.

Ysabel felt like a dirty woman spying on Adam swimming and thinking bad thoughts about him as she watched him swim. This is probably NOT what she should be doing. Yet she couldn't bring herself to leave. She seemed to be content right where she was watching him swim, water sluicing over that glorious body of his. For a moment, she contemplated making herself known... but then he would probably leave. And that would spoil all of her fun. She wondered if she could sneak a picture of him and send it to her abuela. The old woman would get a fucking kick out of this. It was one of the many reasons of why she loved her.

Adam swam a handful of laps before catching himself on the edge and pausing. He was wincing. He reached up with one hand and wiped off the water from his face before pushing himself up and out of the water. He sat on the edge, breathing carefully. His arm...something was wrong with it. It looked exceptionally different. The cords of scars wrapped around his left arm were fire red and raised up off his skin more than usual. He cradled it in his lap, his other hand gripping his bicep. They looked...almost as if they were...no. That wasn't right... from Ysabel's point of view (which aside from giving her a view of his muscled front now, eight pack and all), the scars no longer looked like just scars.

The fire-red color of them now made them look not like scars...but more like tattoos. They were intricately wound around his arm like ropes of flesh. If they had been tattoos they would have looked something like a tribal sleeve...but....they weren't quite like that. They were pulsing...like veins... and Adam looked like he was in pain from it.

Ysabel was finally contemplating leaving when Adam swam over to the side, and gave her a rather glorious view of his, not six, but eight back, and muscled chest. Saying some rather appreciative things in her head, she watched, before frowning. Was his arms... glowing? What the hell? She leaned forward very slightly, staying in the shadows as she tried to figure out what the hell was on his arms. What she had thought had been scars on his arms were now pulsing designs. This... had to be singularly the most awesome thing she had ever seen in her life. This HAD to be part of his power, talent, whatever you wanted to call it. While it looked awesome, he also looked to be in pain from it. How odd... it only made her more curious!

The pulsing cords didn't stop. In fact, they only got worse, pulsing faster...and now the 'designs' seemed to be shifting on his arm. They weren't changing...simply..moving. Sort of as though a conveyor belt had been turned on. They slid around the flesh of his arm slowly, even creeping every so often toward his collarbone and neck. His hand was still clenched in a fist....but he couldn't handle it anymore. He released the fist and Ysabel could see, even from here, probably the most interesting thing about his 'condition'.

Taking up his entire palm was what looked, from here, like a very intricate, very sharp Celtic design. It looked sinister...what with all the jagged edges and sharp spikes. Similarly to the cords, it was blood-red and it looked almost like it was attached to his skin, the spikes piercing into the back of his hand as anchors. In the center of the design was a literal hole in his hand; it was about the size of a quarter and black as coal. When his hand opened, the hole widened...as though it were....breathing. Adam's face slowly began to relax... and the pulsing of the veins slowed significantly.

((Sort of. But not relaly. xD more spikes, more 'dark' looking... and the hole is in the center. ugh. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_veDbg4Zs4Sg/StyoIQBfjgI/AAAAAAAAAhM/X36MfQ3YcdE/s320/star_celtic_tattoo_5.jpg ))

Ysabel didn't notice it, but she was practically holding her breath as she watched Adam with wide eyes. Jesus Christ... what the fuck was that? When she caught sight of the hole in his hand, it reminded her a lot of a mouth. His whole arm looked fucking possessed. Crossing herself, she didn't budge and inch as she watched. What the hell was that?! And what did it do! She wanted to go running up to him and ask him a million questions! And... maybe shoot him if it really was demonic.

Adam sat for only a moment before his grey eyes suddenly snapped up....and honed RIGHT in on Ysabel. It was like he was all of the sudden alerted to her presence. He clenched his fist again and his face fell into a scowl dark enough to make nightmares. If looks could kill....

"What the fuck are you doing down here," he snapped. He reached over with his right hand, trying to cover his arm. The right arm was dormant in comparison to the left....

Ysabel blinked as she was suddenly disovered. How the hell did he do that?! She hadn't uttered a word, or made any major moves! Damn he was good...

Stepping out of the shadows, she shrugged. "Selling girl-scout cookies." she quipped dryly. "Okay, I have to ask, but what is that? Because... it looks totally cool. It looks like it hurts though." she didn't even seem to care that he looked like he was ready to murder her. Either she was very brave... or very stupid. "Or is it totally demonic and I'm going to have to run for my life?" Maybe she just had a death wish.
