That night came and went, and in the morning, Sion was up at the crack of dawn to start his daily chores. Yesterday and last night seemed more like a dream gone terribly wrong.... and he just...didn't know what to do with himself.

After he cleaned up and dressed for the day, he headed into the kitchen to help the cook Gladys with the family's meal. She already had a plate full of warm eggs waiting for him. "How we feeling today, Sion? You look upset." She may have been elderly, but Gladys was intuitive.

He thanked her for the plate, "Upset? No.... just....a little confused is all." He smiled at her and ate quickly. He set up the table for the family's breakfast and poured the coffee for the master and mistress of the house.

While setting out Myrie and Aurelia's placement, he glanced around. No one seemed to be in here at the moment. At Aurelia's place, he pulled out a single bar of chocolate, setting it on her plate.

At Myrie's place, he sighed and rested another flower; this time it was a beautifully blooming lily.

He knew that it was probably overdoing it just a bit, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt bad for what happened yesterday. He hadn't meant to upset either of them... especially not Myrie.

Once he was finished with the placements, he left the dining room before anyone could link him to the small gifts.

As usual, Myrie's parents were the first to rise, and while Myrie's father was still getting out of bed, her mother, Jesslyn, was slipping down into the dining room downstairs. As she came to the door, she passed Sion, and offered him a kind smile.

"Good morning, Sion. How did you sleep last night, honey?" she asked him as she ran her hair through her dark hair, her translucent wings fluttering behind her.

Aurelia awoke before her sister, rising as she heard the birds start to chitter outside. "Oh, I'm up, I'm up." she grumbled as she pushed herself out of bed, and made her way downstairs, having dressed in a very fey looking dark green dress.

Jumping down the stairs, she ran into her mother and Sion. She frowned her little pink lips as she saw Sion, and marched right past him, head high up in the air as her curls bounced. Jesslyn raised her onxy eyebrow at her younger daughter's antics.

Sion glanced at Jesslyn and bowed his head a bit. ".....Not too well, ma'am," he answered, just as Aurelia came down the stairs. He watched her pass without saying a word, or even looking at him and he just brought his eyes back to Jesslyn. "Gladys has breakfast all ready. I have some things outside that need to be done... there's a big storm coming or so I hear. Excuse me ma'am..." He dropped his eyes and walked past her, feeling that uncomfortable tightening in his stomach again.

Jesslyn watched Sion pass with a small frown. "Sion? Sion darling, if you ever need to talk, you know you can come to one of us." she told him, wondering what was making him feel so upset. Everything seemed to be fine yesterday, whatever went down while they were at the park flipped everything out of proportion.

As Aurelia sat down, she saw the chocolate bar on her plate, and clapped excitely. "Chocolate!" she exclaimed with a happy laugh and tore into the bar.

Myrie was finally starting to wake up as the sun hit her in the eye. Yawning, she managed to make herself get out of bed. Last night wasn't exactly her best night of sleep. Changing into one of her numerous dresses, this one a peachy summer one, before she ran a hand through her hair which was falling in wavy sunlit strands around her shoulders. Making her way downstairs, she managed to catch a glimpse of Sion's hair, which caused her to look at her feet.

He had actually apologized to her... and then what was with the kiss on her cheek last night? All of the confusment from last night that she had placed aside hit her tenfold this morning. Sighing, she finally made it to the dining room. Powers... she had a lot to figure out.

Sion thanked Jesslyn just before exiting the house into the warm sunny morning air. He'd heard Aurelia's exclamation and it had made him smile. Though she'd probably stubbornly throw it away if she knew who it was from.... the idea was still somewhat pleasing to him.

He sighed and grabbed a few of the tools for the garden, heading into the back to do his work.

Gladys walked in and smiled at Aurelia, "Now, sweetling, don't spoil your breakfast!" she admonished fondly, patting Aurelia on the shoulder as she dished out her famous eggs. "Where in the heavens did you get chocolate at this hour anyways?"

Aurelia looked up at Gladys as she gave her a puppy dog expression. "Oh can I have at least one square. Pleaaaaase Gladys!" she clasped her hands together as she let her lip tremble.

Jesslyn came in with Alexander at this point as Jesslyn frowned. "Now, Aurelia darling. Gladys made some of her eggs! Don't you want to have room for those?" she asked as her husband chuckled.

"Now Jessy, let the girl have a square of the chocolate. One tiny bit isn't going to hurt her." he told her as he winked dramatically at his daughter who giggled.

Myrie walked in as she sat down at her place, and blinked at the gorgeous flower sitting on her plate. Smiling, she picked it up as she caressed on of the petals lovingly. It was even more gorgeous than the one last night.

"Ooh, somebody has a secret admirer." her mother teased her as Myrie blushed, but there was still a smile on her face as she cradled the flower in her hands.

Gladys just shook her head, smiling as Alexander walked in. She sighed and patted Aurelia on the head, "Do as your father tells you, sweetling," she said, glancing over to see Myrie and her flower.

"That is a lovely flower, Miss Myrie... " There was only one person who was in here setting the placements... and that was Sion. Gladys smiled brightly to herself as she went around the table, making sure everyone had a nice helping of her eggs. There was fresh baked bread in the center, with a pile of bacon and some delicious looking ham as well. Gladys always cooked top notch for the family she loved working for. After making sure everyone was satisfied, she left the room, still smiling sunnily as she looked out the back window to see Sion working in the back gardens. Her smile just grew.

Aurelia cheered as she opened the chocolate bar, and broke off a square to pop into her mouth before her breakfast. Grinning, she munch happily as her legs swung under the table, obviously in a good mood today.

Myrie smiled at Gladys as she looked at the flower, and then craned her neck to look out the window to see if she could see Sion. Sighing sadly when she couldn't see him, she placed her flower to the side as started to help herself to Gladys' amazing cooking. The woman had been with her family as long as she could remember, and was practically family herself. She loved the older woman dearly.

Gladys made a couple more rounds to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied. She smiled happily while doing it, her smile only growing every time that she saw Myrie's flower. Who knew that boy was so sentimental on her? Gladys wished he would come back inside already! But knowing him, he'd be out all day.

When everyone had eaten their fill, Gladys went about busying herself cleaning up the table for the family. "So is there anything exciting going on today, Miss Myrie?" she asked innocently as she picked up the girl's plate.

By the time Glady was making her rounds cleaning up the table, Myrie's parents had already left for their daily duty, leaving Myrie and Aurelia to finish up breakfast. Myrie looked up as Gladys asked her the question and just shrugged.

"I think I might just hang around the house today, nana." she used her old nickname for the lady. "I'm much too lazy to go do anything today. Now... I know this a random question, but do you know where Sion is?" she asked her.
