Sion raised an eyebrow at her and shook his head. "Is he now? Well. I can't vouch for his intelligence. Sepheria has been conditioned to be just like my mother...and trust me, even I wouldn't want Kyrian to he subjected to that. Plus she's in an arranged marriage.... It's not like she has a choice in her life at all. Even Kyrian can't change that."
----

Sepheria smiled as the kitten started to purr. A red eyebrow rose as he pulled chocolate out. "I don't think I like chocolate... I've never had that either...."

She stared at him for another moment before laughing. "You're funny... You act like I actually have a choice. Thank you for the gifts Kyrian, really I love them but.... I think I need to go back inside now....."

"Yea, but Kyrian sees the good in everybody. I don't know how he does it, but he does apparently." Myrie shrugged. "He wouldn't try to help her if he thought she would be like your mom. And from what I've heard, she's not a very good person." she told him.

Kyrian shook his head at how much she had never experienced. No pets, no flowers, and no chocolates? Why... those were the essential gifts you gave a girl!

"Sepheria... please just think about it. You don't have to marry him. You could find somebody better. One who wouldn't hurt you just because he's mad." he told her softly, looking at her with concerned eyes. He knew the type of man the magister was. He'd seen his type plenty of times before.

Sion raised an eyebrow, "Well, he's going to have to look extra hard, because I'm not sure there is a lot of good in her.... and you're right. My mother is a horrible person... not one I'd ever want to be around and she's the one who gave birth to me." The coach started to slow as they came into Myrie's neighborhood.

~

Sepheria's eyebrows came together and she shook her head, "Kyrian, don't... you hardly know me. I appreciate the gifts but... this is something I don't have a choice in." She gave him a strange look and took a few steps past him. "I should go back.... Goodnight, Kyrian..."

Myrie nodded as she thought of something in her head. Kyrian was going to have a lot of work to do... and she would like to help Sion with his family problems, make him not as bitter. It would just make him feel better she thought. When the carriage came to a stop, the driver came around helped Myrie out as she smiled at him, Aurelia waiting by the front door. When they were both out, the carriage left and Aurelia came running up.

"Myrie! Big brother!" she said as she gave them both a hug in turn, hopping up and down excitedly.

"So?! What happened! One minute They were all sad and afrad and next they were HAPPY! Something good had to have happened to have cancelled out the bad." she nodded her curly head as Myrie laughed, looking to Sion with a grin.

"I think it's your turn to tell a story." she told him playfully.

***

Kyrian shook his head as he touched her arm. "Sepheria... please think about this. Fucking Zael Pree is better than this prick. And you can choose, it's your choice, not your mom's. You are in charge of your future." he told her, not wanting her to go in yet.

Sion got out after her, looking around and seeing Aurelia just standing there, as if waiting for them. He watched her hop and shook his head. Her 'they' were a nosy bunch...... they needed to keep out of business that didn't directly relate to their welfare.

He rolled his eyes at Myrie and shook his head, "I've had an eventful enough night to where I'm not willing to tell any long story right now." He looked down at Aurelia. "How about this? How about if you're a good little girl and don't bug me about it, I'll tell you tomorrow. Does that sound fair? Yes? Alright then, done deal."

~

Sepheria instinctively pulled away from him. Her eyes darkened for a moment, and had Kyrian known Sion better, he would have known Sion did the same thing. "Kyrian, I like you, you seem nice, but you don't have the knowledge, nor the place to presume to tell me what is and isn't better for me. You don't know anything about me or.....Zael. What I do, I do for my family....what makes you think I'd want anything different? What makes you think I'm anything like your blonde friend with my brother, who all she wants is just to be happy? I'm not that lucky, Kyrian. I don't have that chance."

Myrie giggled as Aurelia pouted. "B-b-but... oh alright! You better promise though!" she nodded at him as she stuck her pinky out for him for a pinky promise. "Pinky swear?" she asked him with wide eyes.

***

Kyrian shook his head. What was it with him finding all the damn stubborn women? "Sepheria..." he said as an idea came to him. "Fine then, marry me instead." he told her, the words blurting out of his mouth before he knew it.

Sion glanced down at her pinky. "....Really, Aurelia? A pinky promise?" He shook his head. "And here I was thinking you more mature than that,' he teased her lightly, smiling a little. "Fine, if it'll make you happy." He reached out and curled his pinky around hers, tugging on hers a little. "I 'pinky' promise to tell you......later." He smirked a little. "Alright! It's done. Run off now, little girl. It's wa-----y past your bedtime...."

~~

Sepheria stumbled as she walked away from him, almost dropping her kitten. "What?!" she turned to face him, taking a couple steps backwards. "...No. Absolutely not, Kyrian. Not only would that be.... improper, you so obviously don't mean it that it's insulting." She furrowed her brows again and tendrils of her crimson hair fell around her face. She looked like she wanted to say something else, but she turned around and just kept walking, her silver dress rustling as she made her way away from him.

Aurelia grinned at Sion as he pinky promised her. Clapping in delight when it was over. "YAY! You better keep your promise mister! See you two in the morning!" she said as she tackled her sister, kissing her cheek before tackling Sion and doign hte same. "NIGHT!" she said before dashing back into the house.

Myrie just stood there before laughing. "Well... gotta love my sister." she said as she took his hand and led him up the stairs and into the house. "Come on! I'm hungry. Didn't have anything to eat at the party." she grinned.

***

Kyrian ran a hand through his hair, knowing that he was not winning this by far. Stupid stubborn women...

"Sepheria, I'm not insulting anybody.... except for the magister but I'm being serious. At least if you marry me you wouldn't get a daily beating, and you would be free to do so much more than you would with the magister." he said, watching her leave.

Groaning mentally, he went after her, and gently grabbed her hand, holding it light enough that she could break away. "Please Seph... I don't want to see him bring you down. Despite what you think, there's a fire in your eye. He would break any and all spirit within you and you would be just miserable. I don't want to see that happen."

Sion was a little taken back when Aurelia just outright kissed his cheek, but...she was spontaneous for a little girl. It really shouldn't surprise him that much. "Goodnight, Aurelia," he called after as she ran inside.

He glanced over to Myrie as she led them inside. "Mm, I'm a little hungry as well... let's go see what we can find in the kitchens.... I don't feel like being your personal chef at the moment so... you're going to have to pick something that's either pre-made or something easy..."

~~

Sepheria glanced back at him and yanked her hand away. "Are you really so self-assured that you think you can...meet me twice, talk to me for a little while, give me flowers and a kitten and I'll just agree to marry you sporadically in the back yard of the man whom I'm already engaged to?"

She shook her head. "Let me make this clear to you, Kyrian. You don't know me. I don't know you. This isn't a fairy tale, no matter how princely you may come off to be. I'm no princess. And just because you don't approve of who I'm supposed to marry doesn't make it your job to save me. I'm not asking to be saved, Kyrian. I won't marry you... now or ever. I'm sorry...."

Myrie laughed as she led them into the kitchen and looking around. "What about peanut butter sandwiches? That sounds pretty yummy right about now." she grinned as she got out the jar of peanut butter, some slices of bread, and a knife. "Want some?" she asked as she started to make her sandwich.

***

Kyrian shook his head as well. She wasn't listening was she? He'd just have to keep trying then. "I'm just trying to think of your well-being Seph... and if you won't listen to me about your safety for your future, at least listen to me about your safety now and don't go into the house?" he offered up with a weak smile. Any second now...
