Sion raised his eyebrow at her. "Okay, so that's even better. A lowly servant boy from a rich family causes your entire family to uproot it's entire existence and move. So much better." He smiled a little and tilted his head. "If I gave you everything you wanted, Myrie, you'd be even more spoiled than you already are. I can't bow to your every whim..... that just wouldn't be so much fun. I rather enjoy seeing you pout.... it's....endearing."

"Not my fault that I want to be happy now is it?" Myrie raised her eyebrow at him before laughing quietly. "Yes, but it drives me up the walls. 'if only he would swing with me. Why won't he go swimmming?' And all of the other times that you've told me no. Just... won't at least try this Sion. Please?" she asked softly, suddenly turning serious as she stared at him with soulful eyes, whatever he decided could make or break her heart at the moment.

Sion let out a breath of air, watching her carefully. Trying 'this', like she said, was a dangerous game to be playing here. If anyone found out.... well, normally it would just be a scandal. Maybe people would talk, maybe Myrie would be laughed at and taunted by her friends.... but seeing as the Kalfas' already had a Wingless daughter... it could go much worse for them. And seeing as they had such a powerful enemy like Asher.... any wrong move in the wrong company could honestly put them into trouble... maybe even serious trouble. Everything Sion knew was telling him it was pushing his limits.... that it was too risky...

And yet, at the same time, looking into those pink eyes of hers, it was near impossible to say no. He only wanted to see her happy, that much he'd come to terms with. So what if she was too crazy, or blind, to see that which made her happy was dangerous? Maybe someday they would leave... if 'someday' came and they had lasted that long...

He brushed his thumb under her eye and shook his head. "You are impossible.... and it's against every fiber of my being to let you have exactly what you want..." he paused here with a slight smile, "But yes. I will try... for you, Myrie. Only for you."

Myrie held her breath as she listend to Sion think, practically seeing the smoke from his mind working in overdrive. When his thumb brushed under her eye and he said what she had been waiting for, she let out her breath and smiled brightly at him as she suddenly enveloped him in a hug.

"Thank you Sion." she murmured into his shoulder as she hugged him tightly, feeling like she was about to burst at the seams with happiness.

Sion let out a breath and wrapped his arms around her as well, "Don't thank me just yet..." he said with a slight smile as he pulled away. "Now... come on... I think it's late enough that maybe we should either go, or head back inside. I'm curious to see if Kyrian came back or not."

"You know he did, and he's causing mayhem right about now I bet." Myrie said as she pulled back with a smile. Why, would you like to help him?" she lifted a golden eyebrow at him, looking amused.

Sion's face went blank. "Yes, because I'm indefinitely the type to run around making cherry bombs and blowing up people's front yard." He rolled his eyes at her and slid his hand down, taking hers. "Come on.... let's go make a quick appearance, you can say goodbye to him and we'll leave.... does that sound fair enough to you?"

"Sounds good to me. And then we can go swing." Myrie grinned at him as she made her way back to the party, thinking that this night was defintely a LOT different than she thought it would. Who would have known so much would have happened at his sister's engagement party that they almost didn't go to in the first place?!

Sion rolled his eyes again, "No, we will not go swinging, because it's late at night. Swinging is reserved for daytime activities," he said as he started to walk back toward the house. He stayed close by her side, however, as they approached the back porch that led back inside, he paused and dropped her hand. "After you.... Pretenses and all..." He half smiled and nudged her forward.

"Darn." Myrie snapped her fingers with a small laugh as she headed up to the door, curtsying for Sion as he nudged her. "As it pleases you." she teased before heading in with her chin held high like nothing had happened.

It didn't take her long to spot Kyrian since his tall, broad frame wasn't hard to miss. He was talking to Sepheria and smiling at her.

Kyrian who had long since made sure Asher was gone, was talking to the woman of the party, and the damsel he was saving that night. "So Sepheria... I'm thinking that you should go check the gift I hid for you out in the gardens." he told her. Not a total lie, there was a gift there, he just didn't want her inside when the punch exploded and the party became chaos so it was easier for him to whisk her away and tell her what a bad idea this all was.
