"Mm....." he shook his head with a slight sigh. "Let's move onto something else.... this makes my head hurt just trying to sort it all out. I hate how things are always thrown at me at once." He mumbled this last part, but he wasn't referring to her.

He stopped on the path, near the house, but far enough away so they were still cloaked in the gardens. He listened, hearing the voices and the occasional laugh and the soft trill of the music.

This particular edge of the garden was near a small pond... which glistened and reflected the velvet, diamond-studded sky above them. There was a small waterfall attached, which gave of the gentle sound of the water falling against itself. Lotus blossoms bloomed in the water, while some sort of water-adoring flower grew all around the edge of the small pond and led into rose bushes and various other floral types.

Above all , there was a large tree that stood guard nearby, long tendrils for branches swaying in the light wind around them.

Sion glanced around, "Surprisingly beautiful garden for a horrible man," he observed quietly.

Myrie smiled ever so softly. "Sure... as soon as I can figure out something else to talk about." she told him as she looked around her at the beautiful scene. "I guess even ugly people can have good tastes?" she offered up as she listened to the music float through air, soft enough that she could just barely make it out.

"I swear I spend more time in people's gardens then I do in their parties." she admitted ranodmly.

"...Mm... I can hardly blame you..." Sion responded, walking over to the pond and lightly kicking a small pebble in. "The gardens reflect whatever is being hidden and destroyed inside. Beauty, tranquility... that sort of thing. Those people in there...." he shook his head, "They don't care about these things. They care about money and politics and social norms...." He sighed again, sounding suddenly tired. "It get so old.... You know..." he stopped and turned halfway, looking at her. "I had a hard time...keeping up the pretense that I was just another worthless servant in there. Being with you... ah, I mean... your family as a whole has... changed me I think." He temporarily smirked. "Not necessarily for the better, that is....."

Myrie nodded as she looked around before looking back at him with a small smile. "You know... when you talk sometimes, I feel like a dummy?" she asked with a quiet laugh.

"And you know... I think it's for the better. I mean.... you're not as grouchy now." she teased him gently.

"Hmm?" He looked back at her and rolled his eyes. "Please... I just ramble." He felt a twinge of relief though, when he heard her quiet laugh. It made him feel as though she weren't feeling so... scared anymore.

"Sure I am," he responded, looking back at the pond. "Well...maybe a little more... since protecting you is something of a full time job for me...." He glanced back over his shoulder, then turned to face her fully. "...Myrie...." he started, but....thought better of it and turned back around.

Myrie laughed again as she looked over at him as he spoke her name. Raising her eyebrows she nudged him gently. "Hmm...? What was that?" she asked him with a small smile. It seemed like just being there with him made everything alright again.

"It's....it's nothing. I just....." He trailed off, shaking his head. "Really, it's nothing," he finished after a brief pause. He shifted beside her, listening to the light music that was coming out of the party. "Are....you feeling better?" he asked, a tad lamely. It was mostly to change the subject, away from him, but also because he was genuinely concerned.

"I am, thank you. Much better." Myrie smiled as she nudged him again. "No really... what werer you going to say?" she asked him. She reallllllly wanted to know what he was about to say. What can she say? Curiosity killed the cat.

Sion shook his head, "I don't remember," he mumbled, hoping to just get her off the subject. She was so stubborn sometimes....

He turned to face her, looking down at her. "So.... what do we do from here..?' he asked with a slight twitch of his lips.

Myrie looked like she wanted to argue so bad. To be her normal stubborn self, but then she decided that it probably wasn't the best idea really...

"Ok then..." is what she said instead. She walked with him a little farther, really wanting to know what he had wanted to say. "So umm... I don't know?" she offered up with a quiet laugh. "Would you like to dance?" she asked with twitching lips, obviously feeling a lot better.
