Sion held her tight, resting his chin on her head. "You're not broken, Myrie... you're perfect... Don't let him do this to you. Don't let him win." He made absolutely no movement to draw away from her as she clung to him.... he didn't tense....nothing. He just kept his strong arms around her, holding her close. "You've nothing to apologize for. Not a single damn thing...."

Myrie sniffled as she clung to Sion tightly, her face pressed tightly against his chest as she tried to stop crying, to get rid of the horrible feeling in her stomach. She wanted his strong, soothing, calmness to wash over her, make her feel better. What was it about him that just made her want to let him help? To keep him close? There was no denying any longer how strongly she felt for him. It was almost like she needed him.

Sion just sat there with her, in those gardens lit only by the moon above them and the soft flicker of lanterns here and there. Denial was pointless, no matter how hard he tried.... Myrie was important to him. Very important. He felt nothing but the desire to protect her, to be there for her...to prevent her pain.

He brushed some hair behind her ear, just resting his chin against her head. "I'm here, Myrie. I promise you... you're safe with me." His voice was calmed now, the shaking of his hands minimal as his mind focused on nothing but her.

Myrie sniffled one last time as she slowly started to calm down, her shoulders no longer wracked with sobs. She just sat there in Sion's arms, letting him comfort her, and fill her with a sense of safety.

"Thank you..." she whispered against him, making no sign of moving.

"Don't thank me," he murmured back, keeping his arms around her. He wasn't going to just let her go unless she wanted to go.

Gods, the thought..... the fury that enraged him at even the slightest thought of that....thing...touching her...thinking of her in any way. It was irrational but.... then again.... she wasn't just some girl. She was more than that.

"Myrie...." he murmured, for no other reason than to just say her name.

Myrie gave a watery smile against his chest. He was so good to her. Myrie was finally able to raise her head to look at him as she touched her fingertips to his cheekbone. "I'll still say it. You've helped me so much, Sion, and you didn't have to. Thank you."

Sion looked down, feeling his red-hot rage just...filtering away as he gazed into her soft, glistening pink eyes. He didn't repel from her touch like he usually did.... instead, he simply... sat there, closing his eyes for a moment before reopening them.

"You don't need to thank me for anything," he said quietly, glancing down. He didn't know what she was talking about. All he usually did was make her mad, upset, or cry. This was just one of those rare moments when it wasn't him that she was crying about.

"I do though. You've done so much and you haven't even realized it." Myrie smiled at him as she leaned her head back against him as she just rested there.

Finally she pulled back as she rubbed at her eyes tiredly. "Can we get up and just walk around or something?" she asked him.

Sion nodded, retracting his arms from around her. "If that's what you wish.... I'll do whatever you'd like," he said with a nod. He pushed to his feet, taking both her hands and pulling her up gently with him. "Where would you like to walk to?" he asked, tilting his head just a bit as he looked to her. Though he had let her hands go, he was still standing close to her.

"I don't know... just around? I don't really want to go back to the party." Myrie admitted as she used his hands to help her up. When he removed his hands, and she had no contact, she shivered as she wrapped her arms around her. "...Sion? Can I hold your hand please?" she asked, feeling like she was about to hyperventilate.
