Sion shook his head as she curtsied and followed her in. "Yes, I'm sure there's a complete difference....."

He glanced at her, raising an eyebrow. "Don't compliment what you haven't seen yet,' he said reaching out and gently pushing her toward the staircase. "Go get ready, it'll probably take you years anyways...."

Myrie laughed as she made a face as he nudged her towards the stairs. "Alright alright! I'm going, I'm going." she laughed as she pranced up the stairs.

Aurelia looked over at her sister, seeing what a good mood she was in, and grinned as she bounded into her room. It was all going according to plan!

It took some time to clean up and find the dress she was looking for, but the finishing results were stunning. Outifitting herslef in the purple dress, she had clipped most of her blonde hair up with a simple clip, with her lily Sion had given her being her decorative piece. Whatever was not clipped back, was falling over her shoulder almost curly like. With the rather low cut dress, she had picked a rope of diamonds to adorn her neck to accent her outfit. One her feet, she had place a simple pair of silver heels to match her necklace which strapped around her feet delicately.

While Myrie was off getting ready, Sion was finishing up a couple of chores. He knew it wouldn't take him long to get ready.... at least not as long as it would take Myrie. She had the invitation anyways, and he wasn't sure what time it would start....probably no later than seven or eight.

After everything was taken care of around the house, and Sion had made sure to give Gladys the night to relax, he headed to his room to bring out his black suit. Really, it wasn't that great....the edges of the jacket sleeves were frayed a little, but he showered and dressed anyways, where a button up, black shirt beneath it. He left the first couple of buttons undone on his shirt and looked in the mirror at his hair. He just rolled his eyes and let it dry naturally, before brushing off his suit coat. It really did fit him surprisingly well...almost as though it were tailored just for him.

Once completely dressed, black shoes shined and on, he left his room, passing by Layla and Gladys, both of whom who were 'accidentally' talking RIGHT outside his room. Layla blushed and Gladys just grinned, walking over to him and fixing his collar. "Now you watch out for Miss Myrie tonight, Sion... there's a good boy." She smoothed his shoulders and smiled. "Go on now."

Sion smiled a bit at her and just shook his head at them. "Way to be sneaky," he said, heading toward the stairwell to wait for Myrie.

As Myrie walked down the stairs, she smiled as as she caught sight of Sion, not knowing that Aurelia was spying on them around the corner on the top of the stairs, a small smile on her face.

"Told you that you would look better than the rest of them." she teased him as she reached the bottom step, a bright smile lighting up her face, invitation in hand. "Are you ready to head out now? Ready for that closure?" she asked.

Sion had his hands in the pockets of his slacks as he rolled back and forth slightly, feeling a little....anxious. It had been a while since he'd been out amongst the rest of society.... he wondered how it was going to be.

Turning at the sound of Myrie's voice, his eyes visibly widened as he watched her come down the stairs. The color just seemed to make her radiant and it nearly said so. ".... You...look ...." He blinked. "Beautiful," he finished quietly, glancing down at the floor. "That...is definitely a good color for you,' he mumbled, before glancing at the invitation. "Yes... I suppose I'm as ready as I will be.... I've called us a ride... I'd rather not prolong it, if you know what I mean..."

Myrie blushed, feeling warmth seep through her stomach at his compliment before smiling even more radiantly at him. To her, his opinion really was the only one that mattered. Myrie... remember what you told yourself. You will NOT fall for somebody who is not looking to fully return your feelings. her mind told her as she wanted to chuckle nervously. I think it's a little too late... she told herself as she nodded.

"It sounds good to me, and I know exactly what you mean. We'll be in and out before you know it." she told him encouraginly. "And if we're lucky, Kyrian might decide that he wants to crash the party after all."

He watched her for a long moment before looking away....which was hard enough to do after that smile she sent him. "Yes.... we could be so lucky, but I don't think so. I'm rarely that lucky," he replied, resisting the urge to offer her his arm. It just won't be proper, really....

A few minutes passed and there was the sounds of their ride on the street of the house. ((here's to assuming it's not a car! :P)) Sion held the door open for Myrie, bowing his head as he instantly reverted back to the more 'proper' way of acting. After all.... no matter how beautiful or breath-taking shew as... she had wings and he didn't. There were still rules to be followed. "After you, Lady," he said, stepping out of her way.

Myrie lauged quietly as she followed Sion out to their ride, curstying with a tiny smirk at him as she entered the carriage, wanting to say something sarcastic, but didn't want him to get in trouble in public. She would feel just horrible if he got whipped or worst.

Once the two were out of the house, Aurelia came bounding down the steps. "Nana! Nana!" she exclaimed as she slid to a stop in front of Gladys, bouncing up and down excitedly with a smile on her face. "Did you see that?! Everything is falling into place like They said it would." she clapped happily.

Gladys grinned down at Aurelia and scooped her up in a big hug. "Yes my dear, it is indeed, isn't it? Perhaps they'll overcome themselves in the end yet.... now! I think it's time for a bit of chocolate and some home made ice cream as celebration. What do you think?" she asked the little girl, grinning and taking her hand.

Sion stayed mostly quiet on the journey to the party. He would answer Myrie if she asked him something, but it was almost eerie how simply he fell back into the place of servant. Then again...it had been almost all he knew during his life...there was hardly any blame that could be put on him

Upon showing the driver where they were going, he glanced at them both for a moment, but didn't question it. It was a rather long ride, nearly to the complete other end of the city, only to find that the manor they were going to was just on the edge of the city....and was absolutely SPRAWLING, taking up practically several acres alone on just the house.

As they waited in the line of carriages to exit, Sion took the invitation from Myrie and read it.,...nearly laughing. His little, seventeen year old sister was getting married to the Magistrate of the city! Who COULDN'T be younger than thirty-five at the absolute youngest. It took everything he had not to laugh at his sister's misfortune. OBVIOUSLY after the Prees left, his sister had been matched with the ill tempered Magistrate in a pathetic attempt to elevate his family's status sky-high. No wonder the manor they were on was absolutely enormous....

"And big brother can stay with us forever!" Aurelia said as she hugged her nana back with laugh. "ICE CREAM!" she jumped for joy as she followed Gladys into the kitchen.

Myrie had stayed silent during the trip, not wanting to mess up and say something totally uncalled for for their relationship. Whatever she did that night, she did not want to make things worst for Sion. She wanted everything to go as smoothly as possible.

Her eyes widened at the sight of the sprawling mansion, feeling like a needle about to dive into a haystack. "Oh how lovely..." she murmured. "Who does this place belong to?" she asked Sion curiously as they pulled into the drive.
