Sion caught her hand just as she sat down and he gently pulled her back up to her feet. "Come on....Let's go somewhere where prying eyes aren't watching. I know for sure at least two pairs that are probably peering through the windows." He bent down and picked up the basket, holding it out to her with a slight smile. "And I'm not sure what's in there. Gladys made it up for me saying I didn't know what you'd like...." He shook his head, letting go of her hand.

Myrie binked as she let Sion put her up. "Sounds good to me. I can just hear Aurelia laughing at us from here." she admitted with a laugh. "Ooh Gladys did?! Remind me to give her a giant hug the next time I see her." she smiled as she followed him a little ways away.

Sion tossed his head as he led her away from the house and back towards the back of the house, following the path they usually took to go to their pond. Pretty close to the entrance of the woods, he turned and led her into a small clearing, where the sun was shining warmly and there were a few wildflowers growing here and there, but generally speaking, it was a perfect place for a nice little picnic. ((I almost wrote picnic in the French?? O_o))

Sion stopped beside Myrie and reached in the basket, pulling out a thin blanket that Gladys had dropped in there as well. He shook it out, then spread it on a even part of the grass and then looked over to Myrie, gesturing with his hand for her to sit down.

Myrie smiled as she sat down on the blanket. "Aww, I'm going to miss all of this good weather." she sighed as she tilted her head back to soak in the rays of the sun.

"I'm sure you will, sunshine. That's all you seem to do..." he teased a bit as he sat as well, looking into the basket. He pulled out a plate of fresh fruit that had been pre-cut, and set that aside. He brought out a couple of sandwiches on freshly baked bread that Gladys had probably just baked that morning.

He took one of the sandwiches and unwrapped it from the paper it was in, setting the other over by Myrie, and took a bite. "Don't worry," he said after swallowing. "Chances are it won't stay rainy and overcast too long....."

Myrie laughed as she opened her eyes to look at the sandwiches. "Mmm... yummy." she said as she grabbed one and took a bite out of it. "Well... I hope it won't be too long. I love the sun. It makes me feel so happy." she grinned as she had some more of her sandwich. "I love Gladys." she sighed.

Sion smiled a bit and ate, with a nod. "She's pretty talented.... sweet too. I'm glad she ended up with your family.... some of those other families, mainly ones I've been so fortunate to be with, would have ruined that sweetness." He took a bite and shook his head, eradicating the memories from his thoughts. "She's been with you for a long time, hasn't she...?"

Myrie nodded as she took a bite. "I'm glad she was too. I love her so much. She's been with us as long as I can remember honestly." she admitted as she moved to grab a piece of fruit a thought occuring to her.

"Sion...?" she asked him.

Sion nodded as she explained about Gladys. Really, she was a sweet lady. Didn't deserve some of the treatment some of these families would have given her....

When she called his name, he looked over at her. "Hmm?" he asked, a slight smear of mustard on his chin. "What is it?" He asked, making sure to swallow before asking that.

Myrie looked up, trying not to giggled as she leaned over and wiped the mustard off his chin. "You're making a mess" she teased him.

"I don't know... I was just thinking. What if... what if I wanted to go to your sister's engagement party? Would you come with me?" she asked him.
