Sion listened, almost completely silent where he stood behind her. He was trying SO hard to not go back there and punch Asher in the face. "It was him....wasn't it." he said, his own voice hardly audible.

His fingers stopped running along her scars, now both his hands were just resting on her soft shoulders and he was looking down at her from where he was standing behind her.

Myrie nodded numbly as she looked down at her feet. Powers... she could practically feel the rage eminating from Sion's body. And this wasn't even the worst of it either...

"Maybe we can go home now, Sion? There's not really anything you can do about it now. His family is richer." she told him simply and very quietly, which let him know that Asher had gotten away with everything.

Sion paused for a moment, trying without success to calm down. Everything she said just flared his temper that much more... that little piece of..he'd gotten away with it completely. Without so much as a scolding, he was sure. All because of money. DAMN how he hated this society.

His hands slid softly down Myrie's shoulders to her upper arms and he gently turned her to face him. HIs eyes were on fire, but he was strained so hard for his voice to be even, just for her. "Yes... we should go home. I mean... you should...go home." He closed his eyes, waiting for a moment. "Myrie.........." He reopened his eyes, but he couldn't really say anything else.

Myrie looked up at Sion as he turned her, biting her lip at seeing how much he was holding the rage back. She placed a cool hand on his cheek as she looked into his eyes. "Just let it go, Sion. There's nothing you can do. I'd just rather not see him again." she told him quietly. "Come on, I need somebody to come push me on the swing next to the pond." she offered up a weak smile.

Sion felt the same way, although if he ever saw Asher again, he'd probably lose it. For Myrie's sake...and his own, since he could easily get thrown in jail for that....he hoped to the heavens he never saw him.

He nodded, looking down into her eyes. "Alright.........let's just....go," he said slowly, letting go of her arms.... though when he abruptly turned to leave, his hand somehow had taken hold of hers and he brought her gently with him. As he picked up the basket of food, he refused to let go of Myrie's hand.

Myrie blinked as she felt his hand envelop hers, but didn't complain as she followed him quietly to her house, actually feeling safer, and better with her hand in his. "Thanks Sion... for not doing anything drastic." she told him quietly as she looked over at him.

Sion's jaw was still tightly set, as though he were still entertaining the idea. "Mm....." He could barely get his mind off the scars that marred Myrie's beautiful back and neck. How could someone treat her that way.... she was the sweetest thing he'd ever met. He could never imagine doing something like that to her.

Myrie had a feeling he was still trying to calm down, so she let them walk the rest of the way in silence, somehow walking closer and her head was resting on his shoulder as they walked, seeming to feel better the closer they got to her house, and the farther away they got from Asher.

"You still going to push me, right?" she asked them as her house came into view.

Sion glanced down at her, having not really...even realized that her head was on his shoulder now, their hands still clasped. He could only imagine what people were thinking if they would happen to see them....but at this point, Sion just didn't care. Whatever made her happy.

"I will. Just let me get this food into the kitchen.... If you need to change or whatever, you can meet me out in the back yard in a few minutes.... Does that work?" he asked, resisting the urge to push some of her hair back off her face.

Myrie nodded with a smile. "Yea... that works for me. Don't want to shirk your duties after all." she told him as she unwillingly let got of his hand as they walked up the front steps of her house so she could go change in her room.

Walking up the steps, she pulled the flower out of her hair, and placed it into the water with the other one, smiling at them as she looked at her dress. Should she wear one that covered the scars? He proably wouldn't want to touch the ugly things, but it felt better when she didn't have cloth over them. Shaking her head, she refreshed her face in the water basin on her vanity before running a brush through her hair.

Heading back downstairs, she smiled as she passed her little sister, Aurelia grinning happily at her sister, a knowing look in her eye as she hopped upstairs. Myrie shook her head with a small smile as she waited outside in the back yard for Sion.
