Sion grabbed a couple of extra oranges, putting them in the basket of food. "For ignoring my request and talking to the lady." He smiled and the man just kind of stared at him, but said nothing.

With the basket in one hand and Myrie's in his other, he led her away before the vendor could try anything else. Once they were far enough down, he turned to her with a slight smile. "Didn't I tell you?" he asked, not walking back towards the super busy part, but leading her down the alleyway of stands. "It's almost ridiculous, but this is the only way to get decently priced stuff. If I were working for a family I didn't like, I would go back to that main street. Some of them charge ridiculous amounts....."

Myrie laughed as she followed Sion, smiling back at him. "You did tell me, and this is ridiculous. And I'm glad your worried about my family's purse. It says a lot you know." she nodded before looking around and squeaking as she tried to hide behing Sion.

"Oh the great freaking sky! Hide me! It's Asher." she said as she tried to stay out of Asher's eyesight. She did NOT want to run into him right now. Wait, she NEVER wanted to run into him again. Just seeing him right now made her stomach tight with nevers. Powers.. she felt like she was going to be sick, and her skin had turned very pale.

Sion's brows furrowed and his smile just slipped away at the mention of Asher. Asher was well aware of who HE was, after the incident with Aurelia, so he was sure there was little chance they would make it out of here without running into him.

He did however drop Myrie's hand. "Don't worry..." he mumbled back at her, turning his path so he was walking more into a group rather than sticking out by himself. He made sure she kept directly behind him though, keeping his eyes forward and being careful not to look in Asher's direction.

Myrie made sure to follow close behind Sion, trying to tuck her wings in so Asher wouldn't recognize them. They were pretty bright and distinct after all.

Asher was making a business deal with one of his colleagues when out of the corner of his eye, he cold have SWORN he saw a familiar pair of pink wings. Was that...?

Turning he turned and saw a bunch of people but know pink wings. Shaking his head he turned his head again when he saw the flash again. Turning around once more, he took a closer looks. He could have sworn that he wasn't seeing things. Instead of finding pink wings, he did see a flash of a familar head with red hair. So maybe he wasn't seing things...

Sion kept walking, trying to get himself into the throng of people, making it harder for them to be seen. They were mostly past Asher, no longer coming up on him. Sion reached behind him, taking Myrie's arm and gently pulling her in front him. He was taller than her, so hopefully he would hide her.

"Just keep walking," He murmured to her, keeping one hand on her shoulder. Her skin felt clammy. Gods, what timing...

Myrie nodded as she kept walking, practically feeling her hands shake with fear. Luckily, however, Asher didn't come towards them, and he seemed to be more interested in whatever deal he was doing. When they were out of the market district safe and sound, Myrie's knees gave out on her as she collapsed to the ground, her body shaking as she tried not to hyperventilate, putting her head between her knees.

Sion was quick and his arms went out, making sure she didn't hurt herself as she fell. He went to the ground with her, resting his hand on her back. "Myrie... it's alright... he's not here," he soothed. He understood wanting to stay away from him, but this was... more than just a desire to avoid Asher. This was almost pure fear of him... It infuriated him that a) he didn't really know why she was so afraid and b) that Asher caused that fear in the first place.

He set the basket aside and reached over, putting both his hands on her shoulders. "Myrie... look at me. It's fine... I promise." he said, trying to look into those bright pink eyes of hers.

Myrie shook her head as she tried to stop shaking. God, she thought she would never see him again. She never did want to see him again! "No it's not, Sion. It's not going to be alright." she mumbled as she clutched her body tightly as her mind started the flash backs of memories she thought she had buried.

Sion's eyebrows pulled together and he frowned, shaking his head. "Yes, it will, Myrie...." He squeezed her shoulders gently. "I'm here. I'm not entirely sure that's calming to you, but.... I'm not going to let him hurt you, I swear." I just wish I knew what exactly I was protecting you from...

He reached out for her chin, gently tilting it up with the side of his finger. "Myrie, I promise you, I won't let anything happen. You..." he hesitated as he looked into those perfect pink eyes. "You can trust me."

Myrie sniffled as she willed herself not to cry. When she felt him tilt her chin up, she looked at him with scared eyes. Nodding, she suddently flung herself at him as she hugged him tightly as she tried to keep from crying. "I do trust you, Sion." was all she said as she clung to him.
