Linnea paused as they finally reached the stairwell. She heard screaming. She looked up the stairs, then to Gregory. "....I think it is Keira. We should go to them...they might need help." Instead of going downstairs, she started up to the third floor where all their rooms were.

Braden kept running his hand through her hair as a comforting gesture, starting to really worry. "Keira, come back. Don't let them win please." he urged her. He needed Lena... or Greg. They knew more about this kind of stuff than he did.

Greg, who had heard the scream as well, nodded. "Let us go then." he said as he followed her up the to the third floor, opening the door to Braden and Keira's room to find the scene.

"What happened?" he asked as Braden looked up at him with worried eyes.

"I don't know. They... they did something to her, but I couldn't see them."

Linnea frowned as well, hurrying into the room. She kept her hand securely in her pocket as she walked up to Braden and Keira.

"Keira...." she said quietly. She could still feel the darkness in the room; it was enough to make her ill. She looked around, but there was nothing left here...just residual effect. She wondered if it was something they did to Keira mentally... if that was the case, Linnea could easily transfer all that Keira was seeing in her head, to herself...

Keira barely registered the others in the room, their voices warped through the pulsing in her ears. She just curled up and sobbed harder as the images flashed through her mind again, screams echoing through her mind. She saw Chace suddenly, walking back into the house covered with snow, about to open the door to his room when he whipped his head around and let out a blood-curdling scream, but the scene cut short then...flashing through the many others flooding in once more.

Greg frowned as he looked at them. "Be right back. I think we need Lena. She can help with her magic." he told them before sprinting downstairs, Braden not moving from his spot, still trying to comfort Keira.

"Come on lass..." he murmured, wishing she'd snap out of it. Greg was right... they needed Lena.

Linnea watched Gregory go, then could feel her own head starting to throb. But she couldn't stand seeing Keira this way. It seemed the girl was the target for these cruel spirits...probably because of whatever power she held.

"Braden....Let her go," Linnea said quietly, stepping forward and placing an arm around Keira's waist. "I can help her.... You just can't be touching her right now."

Braden nodded as he slowly backed up, not really wanting to let go of Keira. But... Linnea would make her feel better so he had to.

By now, Greg had exploded into the living room downstairs, and moved to jolt Lena awake. "Lena! We need you upstairs." he demanded as Kamau already sprinted up, taking the shape of a cat as Lena mumbled, yawning as she opened her eyes.

"What?" she asked, sounding sleepy.

"Something happened to Keira." he explained as this helped her to wake up a little. Sitting up from Xades warm and comfortable side, she stood up, and headed for the stairs, still a little disoriented.

Keira curled into the new set of arms, her nails digging in to the point her scalp was starting to bleed. She gasped at the mental pain building, watching Chace get dragged down the hall kicking, mouth open to scream but nothing coming out. The scene cut off again, going through the random flashes once more. She sobbed uncontrollably, whole body breaking out into a cold sweat.

Linnea shot Braden a quick smile, then looked to Keira. "I know you can hear me, Keira, and after this you're going to be monumentally exhausted.... but it will help. I promise," she said in a soothing voice. She took a deep breath and brought her hand out of her pocket, pressing it softly to Keira's cheek.

In that instant, after a sharp gasp from Linnea, voices, images, sounds.... horrible things that the spirit had shown Keira flooded from her head to Linnea's. It was a simple process; memories and visions can't be shared...simply transferred to another. Linnea was doing that for Keira. At the same time, she was trying her utter and complete hardest to keep away from Keira's memories.

After what seemed like eternity, but really was only about a minute, Linnea managed to pull away, stumbling back into the wall. She slid down it, unwilling tears on her cheeks. She was heaving for air. It had been a successful transfer... none of the memories were Keira's... they were all those of this Castle's horrific past. Keira was left with mere shadows of what had been in her head...almost as if they had never been there at all.

Xade unwillingly stood up as well, wondering what the hell was going on. He saw a cat dart out of the room...then realized what it must be. He shuddered a bit, but followed Lena, not wanting to let her go without him. "What's going on?" he asked Greg as they took to the stairs, headed for the dreaded third floor.

The pain suddenly subsided as Keira's hands, blood stained, fell from her temples. She swayed before falling back with no strength to keep herself upright.
