Greg frowned, not wanting to really upset her, yet he didn't want her getting herself in trouble constantly. When she staggered away, he jumped up and followed her. "Lin..." he told her as he put a strong arm around her to keep her upright. "I was not yelling, but I was just taking out my frustration. This Castle is too dangerous to walk around alone. I thought you would know that by now."

Keira felt frozen, she couldn’t move, blink…She watched as the little girl hopped soundlessly to her feet, now mere inches away from her. The girl turned her emotionless gaze on Braden as he came closer, the barest hint of a smirk on her lips sent shivers down Keira’s spine.

“Leave him be.” She pleaded quietly, watching as the girl looked back to her and lifted her finger to her lips.

“Shhh….” Was all she said before looking back to Braden. When he got too close for her apparent taste, she flicked her wrist, causing him to stumble back as if someone much larger had pushed him,

Linnea glanced up at him, half pulling away from his arm. "Perhaps I do know this, and perhaps I just don't care. Whatever is in this Castle, whatever is on the prowl to scare us, probably to death to join them, cannot win by having us be scared. Whether we go in pairs or just walk around in a huge group, it will not matter. They'll be after us...."

She paused, her head throbbing. She reached out and leaned heavily on a wall, closing her eyes tightly. "I appreciate your help, Gregory, but I needn't inconvenience you," she said very quietly. "I will.....be downstairs soon."

"Keira?" Braden asked in concern, about to take another step closer when he was suddenly pushed backwards, causing him to stumble and fall. "What in the-?" he said as he looked around. "Lass... I can't see anything."

Gregory wanted to bang his head against the wall in frustration. Was she always this stubborn?! "At least if we go in pairs it gives a better chance to fend them off. You are not an inconveniences." he told her with a frown, as he put a helping arm around her again. "Come on, I am going to help you whether you like it or not."

Linnea sighed, looking up to him. "Alright, alright, I understand. Fine, for now, I won't go off alone anymore." That you will know of. she thought silently. "But honestly..." She reached down and took his hand, unwrapping it from around her waist. "while your chivalry is surprisingly refreshing, I'm not the damsel in distress." She placed his arm back against his side, gently dropping his hand. "I just need a minute."

Greg nodded, glad she at least accepted to not go off alone. Even if he had a sinking suspicion that she wasn't telling the truth. He would just have to keep an eye out on her...

"That's why you were leaning against the wall..." he sounded VERY unconvinced.

"So leaning against a wall puts in distress? Hmm... you must brush up on your fiction," she said with a weak smile. "It's just taxing. I'll be fine." She quieted a moment, trying to sort out her thoughts. She was lucky she was even speaking coherently... when so many thoughts of so many people were in her head, sometimes it was hard to find her own.

When she opened her eyes, she stood a little straighter and nodded, beginning to walk slowly towards the stairwell. "See? Just fine."

Keira could only hear Braden's thud against the floor as he fell, her eyes stinging with tears. "No! Leave him be!" she shouted, regretting raising her tone as the girl's gaze turned back to her. She collapsed to her knees in pain looking up with blurry vision to the girl standing over her, shaking her head.

Silently, the girl pressed her fingers against Keira's forehead, causing the latter to scream out in pain, seeing flashes of horrific images, screaming, and her head throbbing with pain. The girl smiled sweetly, lifting her fingers as she vanished. Keira panted, falling over as her eyes slipped shut, body covered in a cold sweat.

Greg grunted as he watched her, arms folded over his chest. He still didn't believe her, but he would give her this round. "Fine... but let us hurry up. Kamau is wondering what is taking so long and is getting worried."

Once Braden got his bearings straight, he scrambled over to where Keira lay screaming. "Keira!" he exclaimed, picking her up, and brushing the hair away from her face. "Come on lass, you'll be ok." he murmured.

Keira curled into him sobbing, shaking her head, "No. I want to go home." she mumbled into his chest, her breaths heavy and shaky as she slipped into a more hysterical state, clutching the sides of her head.
