Chey shook her head a little, "Dante's grounded for spending the night at my place last night after Henry basically told him not to see me anymore and got pissed I supported Dante choosing College instead of EPL." she told him with a small sigh, "So he let me use his car until he's off."

Cassie nodded, looking to Ian with a shake of her head, "Jeremy is her bastard of a father who abandoned her and cut her and Clara off completely because she wasn't biologically his." she cleared up, looking back to CJ with concern, "But...why was he at Dante's?"

"Apparently he's a friend of Henry's." she said, a bitter tone to her voice. "It was just one more thing to add on to my day..." She looked to Ian then with a small smile, "your folks are coming?"

~~~~
Sylvia, surprisingly, didn't think much about Gabe's arm around her waist as they walked. She tapped her foot to an imaginary beat, glancing over at him once in a while. She wondered why he looked....well, confused? She didn't bring it up, though, knowing he'd blow her off. She smiled a little as the elevator binged and the doors opened up to their floor.
"Dante...grounded? Bah. That'll last two days at max. Henry will find somewhere to go or something to do, ditch them both and expect Dante to take care of Tasha. Ugh, man, I love Dante but I HATE his dad. He's a two faced bastard." He nodded as Cassie explained who Jeremy was and he looked to Cheyenne with a concerned look.
"Aw, I'm sorry. Here... why don't we go out there with you?" He smiled up at Cassie, poking her in the stomach as he opened the door and slid out from underneath her, careful to let her slide onto the seat and nothing else. Once out there, he put an arm around CJ's shoulders and smiled a little. "Yeah.... Mom and Pops. Xade's too little to come... he wouldn't get it anyways."
~~~

Gabriel glanced up as the elevator opened and he gently pushed Sylvia out first, letting her walk ahead of him. He followed behind her, a little edgy from the lack of addiction fulfilling materials.... not to mention his chest was stinging and he was almost out of his cigs anyways. Too many things combined and he wouldn't stay a very happy guy for long.

Cassandra squirmed as he poked her, sticking her tongue out at him as she suddenly found herself alone in the car. CJ shook her head a little, “He’s coming to the show tomorrow night so I guess we’ll see…but I don’t think his father is going to be leaving before his term is up.” she said, obviously bitter, but smiled a little when he mentioned his parents. “Cool…Colonel is actually coming out?”

Cassie laughed, “Took persuading but yeah, we got him to agree…”

“Awesome…so how’d dinner g-Cassie you okay?”

She shook her head as she stood up and closed the door behind her, “You aren’t the only one with parental drama…” she mumbled but shook her head once more. “I’ll tell you later. Right now I want to be in a somewhat good mood to perform in.”

~~~
She opened the door to their hotel room, turning on the lights with a small sigh. She could tell by the slight twitches the boy needed something…. “Go smoke out on the balcony….I’ll be there in a moment.” Sylvia told him, looking back at him with a small smile, before heading over to the little kitchenette, dropping her jacket on the back of the chair. She knew she’d seen the first aid kit somewhere…
Ian glanced between the two girls, just smiling as he leaned a little on CJ. "Ehhh, let's be happy, ladies." He brightened his smile a bit, hazel eyes shining. "Even if it's just for show, eh?" He waved his hand, standing up straight and removing his arm from CJ's shoulders. "You know, if you wanna sit with us, we'd be happy to have you, CJ. Don't think my mom'll care at all."
~~
Gabriel nodded, somewhat glad she'd said that. He walked over, slipping outside onto the balcony. He looked out, since they had a remarkably good view of the Strip. He leaned on the fencing, bringing out a smoke and lighting up. Addiction really was hell sometimes. He sighed, grimacing a bit when the slashes started to sting. He ignored them though and looked down at his left hand...where the ring still was. It was cheap, probably fake gold anyways, but... it still looked...odd there. Like it didn't belong on HIM.
He shook his head, looking back out. Sooner or later they'd get it annulled.... right? That was still the plan..... at least... in his case.... he thought.
Cassandra smiled as she looped an arm around her boy’s midsection, kissing his temple gently. CJ nodded, “Thanks Ian…I may just take you up on that offer….” She nodded with a small smile as Cassie led the group into the theater.
She leaned her head against Ian’s chest as they walked, giving a smile and a wave to the girls behind the counter. “Alright…I gotta go set up. See you guys soon.” She gave Ian one more peck on the lips before heading back stage.
CJ smiled as she looked to Ian, “So…Can I ask how it went?” she asked softly as they waited for his parents.
~~
Sylvia finally found the first aid kit and, taking a non-blood-thinning pain pill, headed out onto the balcony. She set the kit down on the small table, leaning on the railing beside him as she lit up as well. She happened to catch the glint of the gold on her finger but made no move towards it. They’d deal with it eventually…bigger fish to fry at the moment.
“You really should get cleaned up…” she said simply as she looked over to him, seeing the blood staining his shirt. “That’s going to be a royal pain if you let it dry…” she added before looking back out to the strip. She suppressed the weird instinct to help him and clean him up…besides, he didn’t look like one who’d wanted someone taking care of him…..
Ian smiled at Cassie, "See ya out there!" he called as she darted off to get ready. He sighed and looked over at CJ, hazel eyes looking a bit tired. "Yeah, o'course you can ask," he said with a smile. He shrugged and leaned against a wall, waiting for his family to show up. "Well... it kind of reminded me of being interrogated, not by the police, but by Interpol or the FBI or something and I was like... a terrorist. It was....bad. But, I managed to hold up. Then, Cass just enlightened me that because I'm white, her parents want her to break up with me...." He shook his head, "Like she said, between my dad and her 'rents it's like...impossible to get a break, you know?"
~~~

Gabriel glanced at Sylvia, unsure of what to make of the whole damn situation. "I don't..." he sighed, looking back at the strip. "Yeah. I guess you're right." It had been hard to say that.

He glanced over, seeing the kit she'd brought out. He walked over and sat in the chair that sat on their balcony, pulling off his shirt. His chest wasn't too bad... three cuts all horizontal, most of them already starting to dry. He flipped open the top, digging through and trying to find antiseptic. Who knew what that guys' knife may have had on it? Finding it, he leaned his back against the chair and took the wipe, moving it across each cut with a wince of pain.

Chey listened with a small nod, "Oh, hun, I understand....and yeah, her father is judgmental, to say the least. But, ironically...they aren't so much racist as they are over-protective. They don't want their daughter to go through life mocked because she ended up with a white guy...Granted this isn't the 60's anymore but that's their mindset." she told him, resting her hand on his shoulder.

"Just give them some time to figure things out...." she said with a small smile and a nod.

~~~~
Sylvia kept her gaze on the view of the city lights below for a few moments, listening to his rustling in the medical box behind her. She had to admit, he wasn't the worst guy she'd ended up in bed with. Personality-wise. She knew it could have gone far worse....she knew from experience. She glanced back over at him as she heard an intake of breath in pain. Damn nurturing instincts...
She put out her cig and went over to him, squatting next to his chair. She gently took the wipe from his hand before nodding to the water and pain-pills on the small table beside him. "Take two of those. They help...." she said with a small shrug, finishing cleaning him up. She had an unusually tender and gentle touch, probably coming from working with skiddish animals on the farm when they'd been injured....
Ian nodded with a dramatic sigh, "Yeah I guess. It's just a pain in the ass, you know? I mean, I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like the girl," he said with a boyish grin. "Thanks for shoving me at her at the club, by the way. Could've been the best forced dance ever." He slung his arms around CJ's shoulders and then looked down at her. "By the way... you okay, girl? You looked pretty upset a moment ago... I mean... If you don't wanna talk about it with me, that's cool, but I'll listen if you need to vent." He smiled at her again, watching as people were walking in, heading into the theater to sit.
~~
Gabe growled a bit when she took over, "I had that myself, you know. I didn't need any help..." He glared at her, then reached over and took the pills she had pointed out, not bothering with taking a drink of water.
He leaned back against the chair again though as she cleaned him up, a part of him not wanting to admit that it was kind of nice to have someone care.... even if she really didn't.... which he was sure she didn't....
He opened his steel-colored eyes and looked at her, watching her with a hint of emotion that couldn't be named in his eyes....
"Well, I'm glad it all panned out for you...." she grinned before letting out a small sigh, "Is it bad this is probably going to be my first day not seeing Dante since w got together?" she asked with a sheepish smile. "That and I don't know really what to do about Dante's father knowing mine...talk about awkward..."
**
Sylvia let the comments roll off as she bandaged his torso, keeping her eyes solely on her work. She couldn’t place the feelings swirling around her minds. This was all out of obligation she reminded herself, trying to convince herself like-wise…
She shook herself mentally, finally taking a deep breath and finished him up. She looked up at him, trying to place the foreign emotion in his eyes for all of about a second before giving up. She leaned up and kissed his lips softly before just getting up and walking back inside without another word.
Sylvia walked over to the bed with a soft sigh, slowly lifting her shirt up over her head. She hissed softly in pain, her bruised abdomen showcased in the brightly lit room. She carefully exchanged her tight tank-top for a much looser T-shirt before flopping down on the bed and just stared at the ceiling…
Ian smiled at Chey and slid his arm around her shoulders, still looking over people for his parents. "Yeah, kinda sad, not gonna lie. You guys are like....attached at the hip." He glanced down at her, hazel eyes perplexed. "Yeah... that whole dad thing....that is really weird. I mean, I knew John knew a lot of people...but what're the chances, huh?" He smiled encouragingly at her and squeezed her shoulders lightly. "Don't worry... it'll all be good. Seems like none of us can get a break, huh? WE finallly ditch Sasha, now Cassie's dad wants to break us up 'cause I'm white, your dad knows Dante's dad.... man...." He shook his head. "You know, for a bunch of 'adults' you'd think we could just say screw 'em all...."
~~
Gabriel stayed outside for a while more, pondering a cigarette that was in his fingers. After a while, he simply set it on the ash tray, unlit and unsmoked. Standing up, he walked into the hotel room and looked at the woman laying on the bed.
He walked over to her and stood next to her, simply looking down at her as she stared upwards at the ceiling. "...Thanks for the help." He finally said. He watched her, feeling a wave of fatigue hit him like a ton of bricks. "So....." he said in a much.... less gruff of a voice than usual. "What now...?" He reached down and slid his hand up her shirt, pulling the t-shirt away from her to see the bruises on her stomach. His hands were gentle as he ran his fingers over her bruises.... just seeing them sparked his anger.... but he barely let that show in his steel gray eyes.
