Tory shrugged as she took the vial, waving her hand and guiding the memory in, "I suppose....I don't know how to get rid of it. Usually its important memories you steal......" she shrugged and walked back over to him, the silver mist swirling in the glass confinements.

"Why can't we just... bury it on the side of the road?" Rafe asked her, thinking that there was no way the guy would find it then. "We need to get going soon anyways so we can make it to the next town before sundown."

"No.....meaningless memories to us could be powerful knowledge to someone else." she told him, placing the small vial in her satchel. "And do you really wish to travel at the hottest hour? The horses are tired to begin with......How far is it to the next town?"

Rafe shrugged before shaking his head stubbornly. "No... we need to leave now. If we don't then we won't be able to get a room at the inn because it will be too late. So we leave now." he told her. "Besides, the horses are fine. We only rode one horse today for a couple of hours, and Mephistopheles is used to more grueling rides than that."

"So...what? You're going to run the creature into the ground then?" she asked him with a quirked eyebrow, "Neither has had a decent meal since before we started out and neither has had adequate water to drink. Both horses have lost weight since we began, or are you so tunnel-visioned on your goal you've overlooked it?" She crossed her arms then, "We leave in 2 hours. And the inn is but a luxury that if we don't acquire it is the least of our concerns compared to replenishing supplies."

Rafe scowled, thinking he knew more about his horse than she did. "In case you forgotten, I fed them this morning with plenty of oats, and watered them myself. Two hours? You want us traveling late into the night?! We need to leave now!" he told her, snorting at the luxury bit. "Says the woman who got to sleep in an inn in the last town. I'd rather be well rested when bartering for supplies thank you instead of traveling so late into the night that it disrupts my sleep."

She scoffed, "Oh cry me a river, Rafe. If we get less sleep so be it. You honestly are going to sit here and tell me you want to leave now because you need your rest!?" she looked at him skeptically, knowing she'd traveled at some points for 48 hours straight. What, the boy needed his beauty sleep!? "You said earlier the town wasn't more than a few miles off so why the sudden hurry." she asked.

Rafe growled in frustration, wanting to throttle the girl in front of him in the moment. Just because he liked her, didn't mean she didn't get on his last fucking nerve sometimes. "You think this is because of my sleep. Novice, do you know where we are? Bandit country! No offense, but I don't want to be caught traveling at night on their turf. A small group I can handle, a hundred of them? Not so much. I would feel safer if we were in town, and not worried about getting our throats sliced."

Victoria scowled, "I know where we are, prick, I'm not nine." she snapped, getting tired of him downplaying her intelligence. "We leave now and what happens? We get caught in daylight rather than nightfall and even so, would you rather show up into town in daylight or under the cover of night. You're not the only one who has to hide." she reminded him, referring to the glamour she'd put on herself at the tavern.

Rafe looked at her like she was an idiot. "I'd rather go now so they don't have the cover of night as well. At least we can see them from a distance if they decide to ambush us during the day!" he exclaimed, running a hand through his hair. He swore that if she didn't agree soon, he was just going to leave her here for the bandits. "Besides, we would look more suspicous if we came into town during the night!"

Tory let out a heavy sigh and looked to the sky; she'd stalled just long enough. "Fine, to appease your ego we'll leave now, alright?" she asked, shooting him a look before heading off towards her mare, mentally smirking.
