I could create a ten page report on what my ultimate dream game would be. But I'll be sparing and sum it up in a paragraph or so later. Anywho, tell us about your ultimate dream game. The genre, the customization, the storyline, era, features, etc... everything that would make it your dream game; the game you want that probably will never be made. |

All right, gonna go for the short version I guess. Basically, I want something similer to the movement from Jet Grind Radio (or, as a more recent example, the Air Trek from Air Gear [anime]) except instead of roller blades, it's hover shoes. Keep in mind, I'm looking for something very fast paced, and allows for a lot of on-the-fly tricks and maneuvers, but not something like "Press this button to grind, then this button to wall ride." But at the same time, I don't want tricks getting mixed up, like grinding when you wanted to wall ride, or vice-versa. Now then, having hover shoes might seem like a gimmick, but I gots me a reason see. I want the shoes to turn on and off with just one button, so you can alternate between glide and run without having to stop. This is important for things like wall jumps or keeping yourself from taking damage from a long fall. Also, I think it'd feel way cooler that way. I'm not too sure what kind of plot this game would have, though I'm pretty sure it'd have a similar feel to Air Gear (if you've seen the anime or read the manga) in that there's an underground group of people that ride these. Not sure I want to get into territory wars though. Races are definitely an option though. For the world, sandbox most def. I want a huge metropolis type area, and possibly some suburbs or run down areas as well. Exploration is a key element, and I want the player to always feel like nothing is too far to reach. However, some areas will require a complicated string of techniques to reach (such as a wall ride to a grind, up a ladder, clinging edge boost up, followed by a leap of faith. Woo!) I want this game so bad. |

I'd play that. I like Tony Hawk's games for a change and hover shoes > skateboard. Add in sandbox and good graphics and I'm sold. Have you ever played Air Blade (PS2)? It's... similar to what you want, but with a board instead of hover shoes and... not that great, to be honest. But, you might like it until you can get your dream game. |

I don't have a PS2... Been thinking about getting one though, just for the RPGs. I'm gonna go look up Air Blade now. |

There are so many ideas I'd like to see in a video game... My dream game is more like a blend of features. I want something free roam, pure freedom. With a variety of architect and areas to explore. Beautiful cities, quaint little villages, fields/forests/mountainous regions. Nothing visible is beyond your reach. Within this world would be all sorts of little collectible things. I am a sucker for collectible items in games. Anything from special items to little tokens that do nothing. I just like to find and hoard random stuff; all the better if these items have some sort of purpose or value. The game would have RPG elements (character growth) but would be real-time combat. Crafting. I would kill for a game that had an extensive crafting system. By extensive I mean... unimaginably endless. Something akin to Monster Hunter Freedom. Using real and logical materials that you come across and being able to create something with them. Clothes, armors, weapons, random stuff. Finally, I'd want customization. Take a look at APB Character Customization on Youtube and put a fantasy spin on it (and take out the guns and grunge/gang styles) and that is what I'd want for character customization. That right there is the very basic ideals I'd want in my dream game. Of course, it would need a storyline. XD |

^ I'd buy that. Zombies have never meant much to me, but after L4D I wouldn't mind Zombies in that kind of game. The Secret World is an upcoming MMO that seems to have demon/monsters in it and shooting aspects. MMO's generally have some customization and open world free-roaming. You might check it out, Hydro. Probably won't be out for awhile but the initiation test is kind of fun. |
