The Vampiric Legion
NameTypeDescription
Withering ThrallMelee-LowNot all take to the “gift” eagerly, some are in fact chosen by the more manipulative vampires. Thralls are commonly left nearly starved in order to inspire them to fight with more... incentive. It is rare for these units to be used in mass as they may very well begin feasting upon each other. Depending on rank of those in control of course, thralls are better and better manipulated.
Child of the NightRangedMalicious and vindictive, units of this type prefer to rain death and dismay with arrows accursed with their own tainted blood and poisons of exotic nature. They are lightly armored for mobility.
Tears of BloodMelee-MidVeterans of the night, this unit hasn't lived merely to feast on other races. Mid-ranged armor and typically armed with vicious blades and otherworldly axes the mere sight of them instills misery in weak foes. The draw back to this unit: The longer units of this type are on the field the more deprived they become irrational, less focused. They do not drink on the battlefield, purposely letting themselves slip into a bloodlust, becoming harder to command. They are often seen leading a squad of thralls in their charge.
Grave WitchRanged-Caster-Summoner/Undead HealerWhile others rely on brute force or quick reflexes in the heat of the moment, the Grave Witch prides herself on what she has found to be the most precious of arts: Manipulation of the Dead and Unliving. Bone and sinew her playthings, this unit claims the shattered remains of both her enemies and her comrades to maintain a force capable of steamrolling over most any resistance. On top of this, her vampiric breathren find themselves inspired by her presence, knowing their dead flesh can be quickly mended to keep them fighting.
|Insert Name|'s ChosenHeavy MeleeWhen looking out across the battlefield, one can easily assess the battles within the whole scheme. The Chosen, armed in ornate armor resistant to most magics, are known for their ability to hold off a wave of enemy forces on their own, along the line of battle setting up the pivotal points with which how the end will be decided. A Chosen is gifted upon entry into service an obsidian weapon befitting their personality, these determining, aside from their inhuman endurance(even more so than that of a common Unliving), special abilities.
Sword/Shield: Extremely defensive, Chosen with this gift are known to instill their resistances in comrades around them. A block and counter style requires them to wait for the aggresor.
Axe: Extremely Offensive, Chosen with this gift are known to be able to take more of a lead by example style, cutting their way forward at the cost of having a harder time defending. They show no hesitation in rallying
Polearm: Balance, Chosen with this gift excel not with the ability to indefinitely hold the line or to lead a charge without missing a beat. Their strength lies in the ability to be fluid, tactically withdrawing or leading a quick foray across the lines to assist others. Taking this choice could very well mean losing a battle because the army lacked potential one way or the other.

If a Thrall is in charge, the unit would contain nothing but other Thralls, and because of their lack of focus numbers are kept small to make sure they kill the enemy, not each other.
Children of the Night tend to be lead only by their own unit type or Grave Witches. They will never be lead by Chosen due to the nature of a Chosen Unit
Chosen are only lead by player controlled Grave Witches, or the Army leader, they act as effective command units on their own.
