Xorlarrin is a castle that has existed in Thamusin ever since the Draw started over there. Another common name for it is “The Lady’s House”. It is built into a large, sturdy cavern wall and is several stories tall, affording a great view from the upper floors’ balconies. The motif running throughout its masonry is spider-themed and quite intricate, making this seemingly vile invertebrate appear beautiful—even to those with arachnophobia. Guests to this grand palace never realize that there are underground chambers in Xorlarrin. Its underground part is extensive enough to rival the above ground area, however. The royal family calls them “The Lord’s Chambers”. |

In Xorlarrin The Statue Garden Because it would be far too difficult to keep up a lovely garden within Xorlarrin’s dim chambers, Thamusin’s master sculptors created this garden entirely of stone instead. This large courtyard rests within the heart of the palace, and it’s often a source of entertainment for the lady’s children. It is filled with statues of previous lords and ladies as well as stylized versions of above ground plants and animals, all painted or inlaid with precious stones. Its main feature is an incredibly large depiction of the Drow spider goddess. |

The Lady’s Grand Chamber The first room one sees upon entering Xorlarrin. This is where the majority of the lady’s business is taken care of in Thamusin, though it is only accessible to Drow of higher importance—sometimes even the lord is not permitted to enter. Despite being large, it is not incredibly furnished … there is a table set up for meetings and a tall, wingbacked chair for the lady. |
