Dwarves of Benoldre [General Appearance] Dwarves are short, some hardly reaching 4'-6". Their forms are stocky, and hardly muscular, though the little devils can pack a punch. Their hair varies in natural colors, their skin usually tanned. They wear crudely crafted clothing, often from scraps lying around, or collected with a hunt. Hardly are they adorned with extra finery or jewelry. [General Mentality] Dwarves are proud creatures, believing their ways of living and technology to be above all others. They seclude themselves within Benoldre, spending their days mining only the most precious gems, crafting only the finest weapons. [Racial Strengths] - Technologically advanced, often have some of the finest weapons and armor - Can slip through small spaces quite easily, making narrow escapes simple - Extremely hard workers, determined to finish any task begun [Racial Weaknesses] - Their height leaves them disadvantaged in all other civilizations - Often rude and inconsiderate, speaking without thought - Not usually skilled in magical craft, and weak to water and ice magic - Sensitive to harsh light [Social Status] Dwarves lend aid to only those they find fit, only allying themselves willingly with the humans, appreciating their interest in technology, and the gold they're willing to pay to obtain it. To any other races, let them live and let them die, they matter not to Benoldre unless the Dwarves can get something from them. [Religion] If anything, the Dwarves look to the Earth and Fire keepers for guidance, yet they have no time for dedicated religion, too focused on their tinkering. [Politics] The Dwarves are led by an Overlord, who succeeds to the throne through bloodline alone. This Overlord cannot be challenged, and cannot be overthrown. Dwarves much respect this leader, no matter his ways. |
