Tracyn Venku moved through the woods, hunting for any signs of any intruders. His bow was out, an arrow was hooked on the string. His hood was over his face, and his mask up. All Chewy Candy and Apples was exposed of his skin was his eyes and fingers. His falcon, Dha, was scouting ahead and above him, leading Tracyn to the camp.

He krept forward, away of what was around him. Valerice and he joined a group of his local Rangers. He knew where they were, but not Valerice. She was else where around them.

He sighted one of the targets he was to kill. He pulled back on his string, the arrow coming back to the wooden bow. He released the arrow, and it shot torwards the man, impacting him in his neck and the man slumped against the tree behind him.

Tracyn pulls an arrow from his quiver, stringing is and continued to walk forward quietly.

She bowed her head; a human had been tracking her for the last couple of hours and had come to a halt. She had heard the rumors of pillagers in the nearby village and had journeyed non stop for the past three days to offer any assistance to the citizens.

The person following her could be a bounty hunter from home, determined to bring her back to her mother, or one of the vagabonds that was destroying the village. Whoever it was, Xnedra had lost too much time avoiding the last village to consider giving this guy the slip.

Xnedra slipped her bow to the ground by her feet. An arrow in hand she continued to crouch on the ground, waiting patiently for the human to approach.

Valerice heard the man fall, the sharp thud of the man hitting the cold hard ground ringing in her sensitive ears. She knew it was Tracyn's sharp shot. She was actually amazed at his aim and striking power. Few humans could achieve the power he did. She took a sniff, closing her eyes to focus on the area around around them.

She had joined the hunting party with Tracyn when they had arrived his village. She had been pretty surprised they had so easily accepted her. She was careful to only hunt blood outside the village citizens, so they had yet to figure out what she was. And she planned to keep it that way.

She leaped to a tall tree branch, concentrating on the different scents. Then she caught a very curious one. One that she didn't usually get the oppurtunity to sample. High elf. Bloody tree huggers of a sort. Female, about three hundred yards from her. She opened her eyes and managed to catch sight of the female. She was aiming for Tracyn, who seemed to have not noticed her.

Valerice shot across the trees, holding in the growl she wanted to release. No one, absolutely no one, got to kill the male. She pushed herself at full speed towards the elven female. Her boots hit the ground right next to crouched female.

"And just who are you?" she hissed, electic blue eyes glowing with annoyance.

Xnedra aimed for the tree to the right of the male, to let him know that she saw her and wouldn’t harm him. The swoosh of air was the first indicator that something was amiss, the sickly sweet smell of blood is unmistakable to those who know what to look for, and Xnedra and come to expect everything from the woods.

She approached and asked me of my actions. I noticed the barely concealed fangs, her teeth bared to the point.
Not long after she arrived, the human male approached, seemingly irritated with the vampire women.

“My name is Xnedra, I am journeying to the village on the other side of the forest, to offer my assistance in capturing whomever is causing them grief. I don’t mean any harm, I am a Peace Keeper, but I couldn’t let the human believe that I am here for evil purposes, as he was hunting me first.” Xnedra took a deep breath, a vampire she could dispose of easily if it came to that, but a human as well? That wouldn’t start her relationship with humans off very well, and she needed to be in their favor.

“Now, may I ask who are you?”

Valerice eyed the female elf, wary of her. Elves were known to pull out a hidden magic punch or two that could do her serious harm. She was hardly one to misjudge her opponets just because of gender or size. The smallest opponet often packed the biggest powers. or so many battles through life had told her.

Keeping her hand on one of the twin scimitars she wore, Valerice said, "Valerice Chezoveka. It is a pleasure to meet you, Peace Keeper. And if what you say is true, then I mean you no more harm than you do me. I merely saw you going to attack my human and could hardly allow that."

She turned to Tracyn, watching his reaction of the female. She could read the many thoughts drifting through his head. She tilted her head, not at all sure what to do. This female was coming for his village after all.

Tracyn whipped around, pointing the arrow at the Elf. "It's not a good idea to sneak up on a Ranger when he's hunting." He said, keeping the string tense, in case of any treachery. "If you wanted our attention, you should have gone straght to the village, not to a hunting party." He motioned his head for the others to keep moving.

"Personally, I think we have things undercontrol." He said, looking at the Elf. "A hundred Rangers are already here, and another hundred are on the way." He stood his ground, looking down the arrow at the Elf. He wasn't surprised to see one. It always seem to get quiet when they were around. A sense of claiming. He hated it. More like the claim before the storm. He thought, knowing Valerice was reading his mind.
