Venku layed back on a thick branch. He had cut a few branches down above him so he could see the stars. He couldn't sleep, not yet. He never fell asleep when he wanted to, only when he least expected it. He sighed, mind wondering. Dha screeched somewhere, hunting his prey. The falcon always disappeared at night, going to find himself food. The thought of hunting prey made Venku think of the Vampire Valerice, and what she might be doing. He had stuck his neck out for her, and why, he wasn't so sure. But he did it, and he was just a face under a hood to those Vampire Hunters, so it didn't bother him. But he thought of what she was thinking when he left. He shook the thoughts out of his head, drifting back into the now, thinking about his plans for tomorrow. |

"Mother fucking vampiric hunters!" Valerice cursed, crossing the field. The smell of flowers and other plants filled her smell, a pleasant and nice change from the city smell. And it was just nice to be away from the bloody vampire slayers that seemed to have found their new favorite target: Her. Her pants were snug, with knee high boots laced all the way up. A maroon drama shirt with puffly sleeves had a black vest over it and large belt tied around the middle was her attire for the night. She cursed the vampire slayers for nearly ruining one of her favorite because they had decided to chase her around since she had left the bar. For the past two days. She was seriously contemplating the merit of letting them live. With a sigh she kept walking, heading for the house she liked to say in during the daytime, when she usually slept. Though she went out during the day occasionaly she preferred to stay in and not get burned by the sun's harmful rays. Stopping under a tree she sighed. "Bastards." |

Tracyn sturred, hearing someone's voice below him. He looked under him, his eyes ajusted to the dim light of the moon and stars. His falcon Dha screached, flying down to the person below him. He didn't know who she was, but Dha wanted to find out. "Osik." He whispered. He watched quietly, pulling out his knife. He didn't want to startle the person below him, nor did he wanted to be found out. He waited until the person either saw Dha or heard him to find out. |

Valerice flopped down under the tree, the only one in the field of flowers, therefore perfect coverage for her to sit and relax. With her feet spread out comfortably in front of her, she wipped out the book from her bag resting on her side. The spine was slightly used, seeing as she had been reading this book for the past few days. She was slightly eager to see how it turned out. And nothing beat reading a good book in the full moon's light in a field of beautiful smelling flowers. As she began to read she noted a small shadow, flying across the field. She glanced up to see it was a bird, swooping this way and that way. Probably looking for dinner or something before retiring to bed. With a small shrug she turned back to the book, damned determined to not be bothered by the vampire hunter bastards, who always turned up right as she got to a good part. |

Tracyn clicked his lips, calling Dha back to him. He rolled his shoulder, seeing that Dha wasn't wanting to come back. He sighed, looking up at the moon. He put away the knife, jumping down quietly to another branch. He then dropped to the ground on the oppset side of the tree, picking up his bow and arrows. He clicked his lips again, telling the falcon he was leaving. He started walking west, wanting to leave the person alone. |

The sound of faint footsteps caught her attention. A human wouldn't have even noticed them but they sounded like boulders crashing to her. Someone had been in the tree, watching her. And she hadn't even picked up a scent, smell or anything. How had she missed that someone was above her? Dear gods, she was really out of it if she hadn't noticed that little fact. Really needed to get her head checked. Valerice shut the book, wipped out a single scimitar from her bag. With it held loftily in her palm, she whirled around the tree and headed straight for the shadowed person walking away. She grabbed the person by the cloak, putting the sword to whomever it was throat. "Who are you?" she demanded. |

Tracyn chuckled. "If I didn't know any better, and hadn't covered my tracks, I would say you were stalking me." He said, reconigning her quickly. He pushed the blade away his throat. "I was just leaving, so, don't worry about me." He looked into her eyes. "Did the Vampire Hunters take my bait I gave them?" |

Valerice released her grip on the cloak, pulling the sword back to her side. Seriously, this male seemed to show up everywhere she went. Maybe she was sort of stalking him..... unconsiously? She shook her head as she realized that the brid flying around was the male's bird, Dha. "Hardly," she grimaced. "I happen to have buisness in this sector. " She put her hands on her hips, covered in its tight material. "And yes, it worked. For that night. They found me the next day in a book shop. The bastards don't seem to give up." Sighing she said, "I owe you an apology. I was rather..... bitchy to you when you were only trying to help me. While I know its no excuse, I was fairly hungry that night and your scent was very distracting in that small room. I'm sorry for my behaviour." |

He shook his head. "No, don't worry about it, Valerice." He said, looking at her. "It's quite alright." Dha flew onto his shoulder. He nodded, "Like I said, I was just leaving. Hope you have a nice night. If you get up to the third branch from the bottom, there is a clearing to see the stars. I hope you like it." He said, walking away. |

She grabbed his arm to stop him from leaving. She looked him dead in the eyes as she said, "No, really. I feel horrible about what I did. You were being honorable and I pretty much stomped on that. I had no right to do that." The warmth of his skin seeped into her own cold one. She stepped closer to him, almost touching him. The warmth was all over him. The sweet smell of him drafted up to her nose, making her close her eyes as she inhaled it. A smile spread across her lips as she enjoyed the warmth only a live person could offer. "I'd much prefer it you didn't leave." |

Tracyn nodded. "As you wish, cyar'ika. I could use some company." He smiled, holding her cheek in the palm of his hand. "Its alright, trust me. It isn't the first time I was turned down by a women, probably won't be the last." He chuckled, giving her a warm smile. "So, where do you want to go?" He didn't know what he was thinking, she was a vampire, and he was her food. But somehow, he knew she wouldn't feed on him unless he allowed it, and even then she might not. He felt something in her that he couldn't put his finger on. But he was getting closer to find out. |

She watched him smile at her. He really had an attractive smile. She didn't shrug off the hand on her cheek, instead looked up at his eyes. He trusted her. And well....she tursted him. She wasn't going to drink from him. Not after he had saved her life. It wasn't against all that was still human within her to partake of him. She owed him her life. She was indebted to him. And vampires, being 'immortal' creatures, took life debts very serious. "Cyar'ika?" she asked quietly. "That's your language isn't it? What does it mean?" |

Tracyn brushed her cheek slowly with his thumb. "It means sweetheart." He said, looking at her. "I don't like saying sweetheart, everyone says it. So I said it in my lauguage. It means something then." He took his hand down from her cheek, then led her to the tree. "Come on, we're going to watch the stars, that branch has more than enough room for the both of us." He smiled, taking her hand. Dha flew off his shoulder, looking for some food. |

"Sweetheart?" she asked. "Why would you call me that?" She let him lead her to near the tree, hand remaining in his. It felt warm against hers. She missed the warmth that her body had once had. Now her body had no warmth of its own, only deadness and cold and what 'life' was given to her from the blood she had drank from others. That was the only moment she felt even remotely alive, was after she had partaken in food. "Why would you call me that?" |

Tracyn let go, having to climb up the tree. "Because I mean it. You need someone to look after you, weither you want to admit it or not." He sat at the branch he was talking about, looking down at her. "And, well, so do I. I need to start thinking of a family. Even vampires have love for something, or miss something, which means that they must have love something." |
