"Valerice. Beautiful name." Venku said, looking at her. The falcon nuzzled her finger, smelling is as well. He bit into one of his own danishes. "I told you. These are freshly baked." He smiled at her squel. It almost made her seem human.

Dha cherpped, stepping on her finger. "His name is Dha. Shadow in my native tounge. It's an ancent tounge, but its my native one." He smiled. "He likes you, thats for sure."

"Thank you," Valerice replied to the compliment. She held the bird on her finger, barely even registering its wait. "Dha you say. He certainly looks like a mischvious sort of shadow."

She finished the Danish, making sure not to do anymore squeals of delight even though the things were like God sent gifts in her mouth. She would be back here more often, if only for these things.

Her hands ghosted over the soft feathers of the bird. "So, Tracyn what brings you to Stoneferth. You're certainly not a native, at least I'm guessing by your accent. Where do you hail from?"

She looked him over. Yes, he was a very attractive male in all aspects. Tall, and her being six foot even meant he was TALL. With his hood down she really got a good look at his face, his brown hair and his eyes....they held nothing and everything at the same time.

This male had a self control that few others of his species did. She smiled before petting the bird again.

"I am a ranger from the West. Mostly leading people through the woods out there." Venku said, looking at her. He smiled, looking into her eyes. He liked how blue they were. "Maybe I could show you sometime."

He clicked his lips, and Dha hopped back onto his shoulder. "Sorry, he needs a treat for behaving." He fed his falcon a biscuit. "What are you here for?" He said, taking it slow.

"That would explain the accent," Valerice chuckled. "I had a friend from the West. Couldn't speak a clear word to save his life." She shook her head at the memory. Course, that had been a long time ago. When she was in her first century of undead life. Her friend has been dead for the past century and a half.

"I'm here on personal buisness," she said with a slight smile. "You'll forgive me if I don't tell you them." She watched at he fed the bird a biscut. It really was a beautiful animal. Sleek, elegant and deadly.

She tossed two more danishs in her mouth as she conteplated what to do next. This human had saved her life and then bought breakfast. IT really was a very odd place to be....

"So now that you've saved my life and gotten me breakfast...where do we stand?"

Venku chuckled, looking at her. "Well, I guess where ever you want us to stand." He smiled, chewing on another dannish. He gave her a warm smile. "Personally? I wouldn't mind getting to know you better. You seem like someone I would rather have as a friend than an enemy." He led her to a table. "Like you, I am here for personal reasons. Just exploring at the moment."

Sitting back down in the closest seat she could find, Amelia resumed gnawing on the piece of bread she purchased, trying to break apart one of the two tough corners with her teeth - she had to continuously grind it around to do so. She should have chosen wiser, but all seemed to finally be doign well when she noticed that something unseen was knocking people off balance as whatever it was made it's way toward the bakery. She had a suspicion as to what it might be.

Then...sure as the sun rising, it was the Dwarf, missing half of his beard, cuts all over his face, and a black eye, which was twitching like crazy.

"How, how about a a nice Dwarven rug?!" He spat, a twisted smile crawling across his face. Amelia groaned and rolled her eyes, leaving her bread on the table to walk up to him.

"How about you hobble your fat ass back down to whatever mine you crawled out of?" She said, annoyed that he seemed to keep pestering only her, and that he didn't seem to get the message that both herself and the vampire-lady had tried to send.

"Or some nice Dwarven silverware?!" he cackled, earning the attention of near by people. He had, quite clearly, gone completely insane.

Amelia wasn't sharing the same look of glee that he was, and instead folded her arms, shifted her weight to her right leg, and stared at him.

"How about a nice Dwarven dress?!"

She stared.

"Or a Dwarven shortsword?!"

She stared.

"Or a nice Dwarven rug?"

She stared.

"Or some nice Dwarven silverware?!"

She lifted her left leg, and with her foot tipped him over, the Dwarf landing with an audible and almost exagerrated thud. Some people laughed, others gave a disgusted look. But Amelia knew that now, her boot would smell horrible thanks to the Dwarf's uncleanliness.

He scrambled back up, a chunk of beard falling on the floor, and looked toward the cloaked man and the vampire from before, starting to shamble that way zombie-like. Amelia grabbed him by the collar before he could get anywhere.

"Abupbup! Altaïr and the creepy vampire lady are talking, don't wanna piss them off!" She added, before throwing him to the floor.

"How about a nice Dwarven dress?!"

Amelia put her face in her hands.

Valerice settled into the seat across from the male. She could smell the desire like perfume on a lady. It was thick and very very noticable. He was attracted to her, that much she knew but was playing it slow and cool.

"You want to see me again?" she asked, chin resting on her palm. "I think that can be...arranged. I know I'd find that very......nice."

She was always a bit slow with her talking, prefering to think about what to say next rather than act brashly and just say what came to mind. That could get you beheaded (something quite leathal to anyone, even vampires) real quick.

She glanced to see the dwarf bugging that poor girl again. Almost threw out a cheer when she knocked the hell out of him and some of his beard was sheared off. The poor fool was insane with the need to sell.

Turning to the male she held up a finger. "A moment." She walked over to the dwarf and pulled out a small sack containing about thirty gold coins. She put it in the dwarf's nasty hands before hauling him out the store by his shirt collar. "Now take the gold and bloody leave the poor girl, and whomever else happends to tread by you alone."

She walked back inside the bakery, much to the amusment of the people inside and sat down like nothing had happened.

He watched, surprised she didn't kill the dwarf.

Venku chuckled, looking at the Vampire. "Well, I never said that. But, yes. It would be nice." He looked at her. He thought for a second, seeing if he could read her expressions. "You're holding something back, Valerice. I can see it in your eyes."

For a second there, Amelia swore that she saw the Dwarf start to foam at the mouth in his craze, until the vampire-lady came up and basically fed the Dwarf gold. That instant, he seemed to come to, regaining a sane posture, his beard, his hygene, and the cuts on his face healed.

Amelia was dumbstruck at this miracle, and the Dwarf seemed to take notice of that - as well as the blood smeared across the left side of Amelia's face.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked, genuinly confused, before walking out of the bakery, and assumably back to his stand. And she was speechless at this turn of events - she'd seen some weird stuff, but this topped all of it.

After a few seconds, she shook her head, and decided that it may be best to thank the vampire lest she decide to kill an ungrateful human. The vampire might not be able to do it, but it would still be quite a bother on both their part.

Walking up to their table, still trying to remove the blood from her face, she waited patiently for a chance to speak.

Before the male could respond Valerice caught a whif of the human female behind her. She turned in her chair, eyebrow slightly raised. It was the same female the otherwise now sane dwarf has been bugging the hell out of for who knows how long.

She held up a hand before the human could utter a word. "There is no need to thank me. I merely wanted him to be gone and it just so happened to help you. Have a nice day, human."

She turned back to the male, locking his eyes. "Naturally I'm hiding something. I'm quite old and seen my fair....share of things I wanted liitle part in. But its hardly for you to know at the present moment, my dear Tracyn. I thank you kindly to not mutter it what is privatly mine."

She finished the last danish, waiting for one of the humans to speak.

"I understand, Valerice." Venku said, looking at her. He rested his leg on his other. "Look, I was only saying. If you don't want to speak of it, that is quite alright." He ate his last danish. He chewed it for one long second. "I am sorry if I pinched a nerve, but I just call them as I see them."

He looked into her eyes. "But, there is something else. Wishful thinking, maybe? Trying to make the best out of what you're handed with?" He said, cautiosly.

Sharp nails, nails that could kill slice a throat with one swipe, tapped the wood of the table. Valerice watched the human male. He was hitting on her. Sure, she was flirting with him....but by the gods she flirted with most charming males. She was full grown ass female and a vampire. There was a reason they were known for seducing. It was second nature to every vampire.

Wishful thinking? This male seemed to be the one with wishful thinking, going by the thoughts practically racing before her mind's eye. She titled her head, trying to figure where she wanted to go with this. A one night stand, maybe dinner before. Try and go for a relationship....so many possibilities......but which one to choose.

Just as she opened her mouth to say something, the door to the bakery slammed open. She glanced over to see five men, dressed head to foot in black, only their faces visible. Their eyes searched all over the bakery, trying to find something....

Or someone.

Shit. Not these idiots again. The self titled Vampire Slayers of Stoneferth. They had been on her case since the leader's grandfather had gotten turned down to be a blood donater (aka BLood slave) about a hundred fifty years ago. the family had kept the buisness alive by killing any vampire that dared enter the cities walls. Well....or so they thought. They'd only managed to kill about twenty or so vampires over the years. Whcih wasn't too terribly great in number wise.

And they had been on her case for the past three days on her visit to the city. She had bugged hem but they werre sure acting like a thorn in the foot to her.

She turned back to the male. "If you wishes to continue this conversation, meet me at the Gent's Bar and Winery tonight. Midnight."

She brushed a quick kiss on the cheek, before stealing his cloak faster than any human had the capacility to see, through it over her shoulderes and was a blurr ot the Vampire Slayers.

Venku sighed, looking at the men. He walked passed the men and grunted, "Chakaar, di'kutla." He said, standing up. He shouldered the men, walking out the bakery. "Excuse me, gentlemen. I have things to attend to." He walked out into the street, falcon resting on his shoulder. "Go find her, Dha." He waved his falcon off, and the falcon flew off, looking fo rthe Vampire.
