Jeanette walked down the street toward the bakery to get some bread from the baker, who had worked out a deal with Nanny Harriet. Jeanette walked down to the street corner, and pushed the door of the bakery. It made a creak, and, after a little effort, opened.

Once inside, she approached the baker behind the counter, and asked, "Can I have some bread please?" The baker reached down under the counter, and pulled a dark brown loaf from a shelf. "Here you go." ,he said, handing her the loaf.

Jeanette took the loaf and quickly left the bakery, headed off to find a safe place to eat. People in the North District could sometimes be like vultures.

Jeanette looked from side to side, and entered the alleyway across the street from the bakery. She walked to the middle, sat down on a barrel, and began to eat her bread. This was sure to be a wonderful day.

Venku walked down the streets of the North District, clearly lost now. His falcon cherpped, and Venku shook his head. "I am not lost." He told his falcon, but more himself than the falcon. "Go find something to do for a bit, alright?" Dha screeched, clearly wanting to stay. "Alright."

Venku wandered the streets some more, finding a bakery. "Hm. Want some food?" He asked, walking in. Venku pulled his hood off, showing his long brown hair. "Excuse me, sir. Do you have any dannish? Preferably just cheese." He asked, looking at the baker.

"I do." The baker said, walking to the back of the bakery and he came back with couple dannishes. "Want it in a bag?"

"Yes, sir." Venku pulled out some gold. Dha cherpped. "Also, can I have some biscuts for the falcon?"

The baker smiled. "Sure. Thats 15 gold." He handed Venku the bags of dannish and biscuts.

"Fair enough. Have a nice day." Venku said, paying the baker and taking the bags and walked out the store. He pulled his hood back over his head and walked on. He contuned to wandered the streets, chewing on his dannish. He passed a women sitting on a barrel. He smiled and nodded to her, still walking.

After a few more minutes of arguing with the obviously crazed merchant Dwarf, Amelia had managed to slip away in a crowd of heavily cloaked people walking by. But she wasn't convinced that she lost him - she knew he was still following her, trying to sell something to her. She glanced behind herself, looking for a sign of him - then she remebered that Dwarves were short, and she bumped into somebody - he fell right on his rear-end, while Amelia stumbled back, since she was jogging at a pace most others would run. Just barely able to say sorry before she had passed, she didn't stop at all to help him up before-

"HOW ABOUT A NICE SKIRT?!"

"Augh!" She yelped, jogging across the street in front of a horse...and toward what looked to be the same man as before, and some blond-haired girl, in front of a bakery. She thought she was safe, but looked behind her...and the dwarf was marching right over. Panicking, she grabbed the man from before by the shoulders.

"Run for your life! He's chasing us!"

Valerice absolutely loved Stoneferth. Even when she was a young—albeit human at the time—girl she had loved to explore the city. While the hustle and bustle of other human and some random creatures here and there did nothing for her, this was probably the only place they didn’t bother her.

She had her cloak pulled over her head, shielding her skin from the burning sun. While it wouldn't kill her necessarily on contact, burns were usually quick to follow and a dead giveaway for her….deadness.

And the cloak also helped to detract attention from her. Though there were many second glances and once over even with the cloak on. She could see the stream of thoughts, like many songs all being sung and once but still discernable. Yes, she could read every male’s thoughts within a certain diameter. And half of them warranted a good throttling from her. Perverted dirty-minded creatures.

The sweet smell of a bakery flooded her smell. Ah, yes. Her one fatal flaw.

Sweets.

Something about confections just got her attention like nothing else. And there was nothing, absolutely nothing better, than the smell of warm cinnamon and sugar and nutmeg and all other wonderful spices beckoning her.

Her leather boots clicked on the stone walk as she rounded the corner to come to a very odd sight near the bakery. A young blonde woman, a brunette man watching another young woman head his way and a very disgruntled looking dwarf, shouting something about buying something following the woman.

She decided it wasn’t much of her business, whatever was going on. Instead heading for the glass paned door that was sweetly calling her name. A cinnamon roll sound absolutely divine right about now.

Least that was what she planned to do until the bloody dwarf grabbed her cloak and yanked it off of her. She turned toward him, letting out a high pitched eardrum splitting hiss. She felt the sun burning her skin as she glared at the offending dwarf.

This little bearded fool was about to die.

"Osik!" Venku shouted, covering his ears. His falcon sreeched, flying away from the area. He looked up at the source of the noise. He rushed over, picked up her cloak and throw it onto her.

Venku looked at the dwarf. "I think you better run. But I doubt that will save you, dwarf." He walked away, eating a dannish. He watched for the vampire's response.

Amelia cringed, letting go of the man she had ahold of in order to grab her own head to get the hideous noise out - but before she could grab her head, the noise stopped. After it stopped, she turned to see where the man in question had run off to, instead seeing a pale skinned woman with long black hair and a nasty attitude. A vampire, and from the looks of it she was about to rip the Dwarf a new one.

The Dwarf, unaware of the danger he was now in, looked at the vampire, "HOW ABOUT A NICE DWARVEN RUG?!"

Valerice was furious. How dare this little bumbling fool grab her cloak, rip it off her, then offer a dwarvian rug. Why the hell would she want a rug? Plus she had seen Dwarvian rugs. Not very pretty my friend. Not pretty at all.

Sucking in a deep draught of unneeded air she was thankful to the man that had thrown the cloak back over her. She flashed her eyes in his direction, noting he was eating a Danish and watching the scene with interest. The other female, not the blonde, was also watching her. Waiting.

No one decloaked a vampire at noon and got away with it. Valerice grabbed the dwarf by the front of his shirt. He was light for her to lift, even though he was probably three times her wieght and six times her width. But she had a good two feet on him. His little beedy eyes got real wide as he found himself hefted two feet off the stone floor.

"Listen and listen well. I will give you two minutes to turn tail and run in whatever direction you came from. But note that should I ever meet you again, your life and blood are mind for the taking, fool. I feeling particurly generous today and don't feel like staining the stone."

She released the dwarf who instantly scuttled away as quck as his little legs would carry his weight. She watched him go before the slumped agaisnt the wall, the sunlights effect finally catching up with ehr.

God damn her being a vampire. She eyed the people watching her, wondering jsut what they were thinking.

Venku looked at the last part of his dannish. He tossed it into his mouth, chewing it. He looked into the paper bag where he thought he had one more dannish, only to be wrong. "Aw." He sighed, walking back into the bakery. He opened the door, holding the door open for the vampire, not really caring if she was a vampire or not.

"I saw that you were heading inside. May I buy you something?" He asked her, giving her a smile. "This places dannishs are amazing."

Amelia had her left eye half-closed, with her head tilted to to the left as well, when she watched what the vampire did to the Dwarf. It was...kind of funny, actually, as it had caused her to smirk. But when someone or other wanted into the bakery, she stepped to the side and into some man thanks to the streets crowding up after everyone had stopped to see what the vampire was going to do.

Then, of course, the smell hit her, as did an idea of where to spend her money. The bakery!

Slipping inside, through a second door that was actually designated the exit, she resumed wiping the blood from her face - there wasn't a lot, but by Meridia was it hard to remove!

After a few seconds of effort, however, she gave up, with the blood smeared around her left cheek and the left side of her chin, and ended up reaching for a danish...before she remembered that she didn't like dannish's, and grabbed one of the other pieces of bread lying on a display tray.

Then she remembered that both the vampire and the cloaked man might be entering this, and realized something.

"I hope they don't think I'm stalking them..."

Valerice eyed the human male. He was decent enough looking and had a pleasant smile on his face as he looked at her. She walked forward slowly, wanting entrance to the bakery and figuring it would be better to get out of the street before someone came and tried to stake her.

Scaring a dwarf at noon in a crowded city often caused panic.

She responded with a smile of her own, flashing off those impressive canines all vampire's came equipt with. She had to admit, they made for one hell of smile.

"Thank you...Sir....I'm afraid I don't know your name but your offer of a danish is much appreciated." She tossed a stray lock out of her face, watching the human's face for reaction. He seemed oddly distant for a human.

She walked into the bakery after the other female who seemed intent on getting some type of food. Valerice could relate. With her enhanced senses the smells of the bakery were almost strong enough to get her high. Not that they did, but the thought was humurous. Imagine, a vampire high on cinnamon?

PUre gold.

She looked back at the human at the door, flashing another charming smile. Herr blue eues glinted as she saw his thoughts flash through her head. My, this human was certianly....ineresting.

Venku chuckled, showing his white smile, although he had no fangs. "My name is Tracyn Venku, ma'am. Pleasure to meet you." He showed no reaction to her movement, playing it cool like he did with other women. This might prove to be interesting. He thought. He whistled, calling back his falcon. Dha came back and landed on his shoulder. "Shall we?" He walked into the bakery again.

"Hello again. Um, I will have three danishes, and whatever she wants." He said, looking at the baker's goods. He pulled out his pouch and looked at her to see what else she wanted. "Go ahead and get what else you wanted."

Valerice knew he wanted to play it cool with her. Clever little human wanted to test her as much as wished to do him. It wasn't very often Valerice found someone who caught her interest in such a short time.

This could prove to be far more an entertaining experience than going to the Vampire city. She brushed past the male, wondering how to draw some kind of expression or reaction out fo the male.

"I'll take five danishes if you please." She turned to the male. "You don't gain weight when your already dead." An impudent grin played across her lips.

Venku watched her enter the bakery, and smiled to himself. He lowered his hood, and rolled his neck. "I can understand that." Venku chuckled. He paid the baker again, and took the bag filled with his danishes. "Running around in the woods has the same effect, I guess." He chuckled.

"So, what's your name?" He asked, looking at the Vampire. He studied her appearince, but tried not to give too much away. His falcon cherped again, wanting some attention.

(OOC: Need somewhere to post, so this is happening in the background)

Amelia backed away before either of the other two had a chance to say anything to her, nibbling on the piece of bread she just purchased with a gold coin. Somehow, she ended up with three gold coins extra in the little bag she kept her money in. And lucky her, she picked a piece that turned out to be going stale already. On top of that...

"How about a Dwarven shortsword?!"

The Dwarf ended up following her in here, to which she frowned, picking him up by his collar, and thrusting him outside, catching quite a few people off guard as not only did a Dwarf just go rocketing through the air, but the bakery doors had slammed open and then slammed shut. But a handful of people in the bakery couldn't help but laugh.

Amelia smelt the hand that she use to grab him - and it smelled horrible, so much that she recoiled from it, and shook her hand off. Surprisingly, that made the smell go away.

Valerice was almost a hundred percent sure that this human male was attracted to her. She wished she could smell his blood, curious as to what he was. A? AB? Maybe the rare O. The vampire side of her just made her a little curious to that. But with all the other humans in the room, she couldn't quite catch his scent.

"Valerice," she said, taking a small bite out of the danish. The flavor flooded her mouth. "Wow! These are delicious!"

She couldn't help but smile at how absolutely childish she must have just sounded. And cosidering she was over two hundred and thirty years old that was saying something. But she hardly cared. The food was absolutely........... divine.

She noted the bird resting on his shoulder, almost giving her the evil eye. Apparently it didn't like when something drew his master's attention away. She reached out and slowly stoked the bird's soft feathers. "Who is this little guy? He's quite the looker."

She glanced at the male, Tracyn as he had said his name was.
