Jeff's corpse twitched on the ground as the blood fountained out of his neck. Standing at the back of the room, a grinning Curtis looked around at his new companions.

Helios stood in front of Jonathan and Drrr with the spear raised high.

"C'mon Helios, it's me your old buddy. Why the hostility?"

Helios glanced down at the journal on the floor. Etched across the front was the word Mercator. There was a piece of what looked like brain resting on the front cover.

"He was a bad guy. Willis' personal little mole. I had no choice really."

Helios snarled.

"What about bsrj. Was that a choice?"

"He had a gun!" Curtis laughed. "For all you know he was sent to kill you!"

Drrr stood watching him intently.

"Was henry a choice?"

Curtis smiled. "I have no idea what you are referring to. Henry walked into a trap. Very tragic...just like poor Bella."

While his back was turned, Helios made a charge. He yielded the spear high and hurled it straight for Curtis' back. Curtis turned swiftly and pulled out his very bloody hatchet. He swung and it caught the spear mid-air, causing it to clatter harmlessly away.

Then he walked towards Helios glaring. He backed away. Drrr and Jonathan stood on in abject fear.

Curtis marched forwards intently. "Why did you do that? We were friends. I just wanted to make a lot of friends. Why did you have to go and ruin our friendship."

Helios charged at the door and hit the switch. It wasn't due to open for another 24 hours. He scrabbled frantically before charging headlong into Curtis knocking him to the ground. Jonathan ran over and pinned him down while drrr stood on and watched. She strode over.

"We are leaving this maze now Curtis. And you are not going to stop us. This ends now."

Curtis laughed quite loudly.

"You know I read through Merc's journal while we were sitting around waiting for doors to open. Interesting read. It implies he led your group around, told you where to go, and even pulled you into this small subsection, which according to the map I decoded contains the exit key for the maze."

"It also says you were planning to go the opposite way, to the maze exit without even having the key."

He smiled.

"And above all that it lists all the conversations he had with our friend Willis. Because Mercator was a mole. Willis was telling HIM what to do and say."

The group tried not to make eye contact with one another.

"So get this. You were eventually able to come close to getting the escape key. And the only reason you got this far was because the dungeon master was telling you where to go. Congratulations. I hope you escape soon."

The group looked up. The eye of Willis was watching intently.

"He's been watching for a while." Said Curtis. "He wants to see the show."

With that he tilted his head and took a huge bite out of Jonathan's left leg. Screaming jonathan hopped away as blood poured out. Curtis swung his right arm and caught Helios with a fast punch to the side of the face. He fell over onto the chest in the middle of the room with a crack.

Yelping in pain and unable to move a muscle in his body he looked pleadingly at Curtis who had picked up the axe. Walking forwards for what seemed like an eternity he shook his head sadly and brought it down into Helios' waist. Blood poured out everywhere. Curtis hacked and hacked and hacked until the entire bottom half of Helios was on the floor along with most of his vital organs.

He smiled and stuck the hatchet in Helios' head, whistling as he ran to his backpack. Drrr dived towards him. Curtis picked up the spear that had clattered to the floor and swung it at her side. The wood broke with a crack as she lay on the floor in agony.

Curtis then pulled out a large shotgun from his backpack. Lining it up just right he smiled at jonathan who was welping.

"Bang." He said.

And pulled the trigger. Jonathan's head splattered against the door. A lot of the blood flew up and smeared the screen where the eye was watching intently.

Drrr stared up silently.

"You were smart Drrr. Why didn't you do better? You had every chance, every opportunity. I don't understand but I don't really care. In the end you were no better than your idiot pal Jeff."

He whipped out a revolver and pointed it at her head.

"You tried to steal this didn't you. Why did you give it back anyway?" He laughed. "Dumbest mistake you'll make. Now walk."

Drrr walked slowly through the maze looking miserable. Willis watched intently.

And slowly the doors opened. In every room Willis looked on patiently. They headed due East, past a computer screen and past the skeletal remains of henry. They then reached a purple hued room with a southern exit. There was a click as they walked over a central tile but nothing happened. A screen at the side of the room displayed the message

"Teleportation system denied."

Curtis smiled and continued to lead Drr south.

Drrr looked back at Curtis and said "Where are we going?"

Curtis smiled as they entered the next room. It led to a very big airy passageway. It appeared to be outside the maze.

"We're leaving!" Said Curtis gleefully.

Drr looked around in awe. The wind was cold and chilling. The walkway was very narrow stone. It overlooked a huge chasm, over which crossed a large rope bridge. On the other side was a small bunker.

To the West was a large metallic structure. It was the maze. It seemed to go up for an eternity. There was no light, and no apparent ceiling. Just solid flat metal. To the East was just pure nothingness. The northern door led back inside.

"After you!" Said Curtis gleefully. Drrr nervously gripped onto the ropes at the side and began to cross the wooden slats.

The wind careened into her and nearly knocked her off the bridge but she endured onwards. Would jumping really be such a bad idea. When she was all the way over she looked desperately for a way out but there was none. She slammed down on the keypad for the door release to the bunker.

"What are you doing?" Said Curtis puzzled.

The door opened and Drrr dove into it. It closed again. Curtis snarled as he gently walked across the bridge. It held despite the creaking. One of the slats fell out as he walked across it but he slowly edged his way to the bunker and opened the door.

Inside was a pure green room. The lighting rippled over a lake which dipped down a long long way. There were two skull statues on the opposite wall. Drr was sitting by the edge of the water mumbling.

"Your journey ends at the green lake..."

Curtis smiled. "I told you."

"Now if my theory is correct the key should be underneath all that water. How about you dive down and go get it?" He said as he drew his gun and pointed it at her.

She sighed and took a step back before diving headfirst into the murky depths. Curtis sat and waited. She bobbed back up.

"I couldn't get deep enough."

"Hmmm. How about if you carried a bit of extra weight?" He suggested.

As he did he reached into his backpack and pulled out a pale severed head. It had belonged to Budd.

"Did you meet my friend Budd? He was a headhunter but his head got hunted!" Said Curtis grinning. "He's a good partner!"

Drrr looked physically sick as he shoved the head into her backpack.

"Now try!" He said and pushed her into the water.

After a long wait she emerged.

"RIP Budd" Said Curtis looking sadly at the water. "So where's the key."

Drr shrugged. "What key?" She said.

Curtis smiled and butted the back of her head with his gun. She fell to the ground as blood pooled around the back of her head. He pointed it at the wound.

"I ask again."

Drrr sighed and handed him a key. It had a large eye on the head. It was made from solid gold. Curtis smiled.

"Let's go home!" He said walking through the door. He moved across the bridge carefully as Drrr stood behind him.

"You know I was a thief right?" Said Drrr questioningly.

"I can't imagine I'd care!" Said Curtis continuing forwards.

"Just wondered" Said drrr as Curtis reached the other side. "Because I thought you might be missing something." She declared as she pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at Curtis.

Curtis stared on with his revolver drawn smiling.

"Has it really come to this?" He said curiously.

For a long time they just stared.

And Curtis fired. Drrr gasped and jumped back. There was no blood. The gun clattered to the floor.

"You missed." Said Drrr with a smile.

Curtis stared on as a loud crack permeated the windy air. The bridge gave way with a snap. Screaming out Drrr dived forward and managed to clutch onto the slats. As it hit the stone wall opposite. Her ribs cracked against the side.

She sruggled upwards and clutched onto the side where Curtis smiled down at her.

"Did you know it would break?" She asked miserably.

"You know I had a feeling it might!" Curtis said with a large grin. He reached down and grabbed her hand.

"It's lonely up there and I need a lab rat, if you'll excuse the pun, to help guide me!"

Drrr sighed and grabbed his hand. Curtis pulled upwards smiling.

"Not really though." He said calmly as he flung forwards, throwing Drrr over the edge. She screamed for what seemed like an eternity. There was no crash. The sound subsided.

Curtis strode whistling back into the maze. "Good job well done, eh Willis!" The eye stared on.

"You're very quiet aren't you? Wonder why!"

There was no response. Curtis shrugged and bashed against the door device. It opened. When he walked through into the next room he noticed something peculiar. All the doors were open.

Bounding through the open doors he noticed that all of the devices had been disabled as well. He entered the closest red room and pulled out a journal. Across the front was the word Mercator, now slightly bloody.

He opened to a page he'd bookmarked with one of henry's knuckle bones. In it was a description of a large transit system. He walked up the stairs and into the chamber at the top where he banged his fist at a certain point on the wall. A chamber opened with a half-filled gas cannister. He removed the cannister and a spring popped up.

He smiled as a door opened leading into a huge black passageway with a large overhead metal track. Waiting for him at the front was a tram. He climbed in and mashed the control panel. The tram moved onwards at an extremely high speed.

When it finally came to a stop, a very large stairway led up. Next to it was an open door. He peered in at the bright red room with the screens containing many eyes and shrugged. He walked back out and bounded up the steps of a spiral staircase. At the very top he came out into a large chamber. There was a lot of dry blood and a pendulum swung back and forth over several open pits.

In the middle of the mess was a rotten corpse. He flipped it over and saw the gaunt face of Simplton.

"Memories." He said with a smile.

He strode across the chamber avoiding the pendulum and the pits. An open chamber was on the far wall. He walked into a long drawn out passageway lined with artificial flickering lights.

And as he came to the other side he emerged into another large chamber. There was nobody inside. In the middle was a large chair surrounded by monitors. 81 of them scattered across every wall with a control panel to change the camera angles and settings. A red button labelled minotaur lay to the side as well as another series of controls.

Nobody was operating them. Curtis moved the cameras around across the various monitors cautiously. That's when he saw the figure moving swiftly across the maze. It was wearing a black cowl. Curtis grinned and panned into the room where it had come to rest.

The monitor was labelled 3543.

Curtis flipped open his journal to the page entitled map where he had hastily scrawled: Exit - 3543

Grabbing something from the wall of the chamber he quickly moved back in the direction he'd come when he noticed another screen. It said open chutes to: ____

It was awaiting keyboard input.

Curtis tapped in the numbers 3543 and heard a click.

When he walked back into the pendulum room, only one floor passage was open. He shrugged his shoulders and slid down into it.

Willis stood by the exit, cradling a shotgun as the ceiling opened up and Curtis fell into the room. The gun was immediately pointed at his head. He slowly rose, hands held high.

Willis snarled under his cowl.

"I thought you'd try to escape after you'd killed them all. You just loved the challenge didn't you."

"Unfortunately, you aren't leaving here alive. You did well Curtis, very well. But I didn't design the maze so that people would walk out and reveal everything to the world at large. So I decided to wait here until you showed up. I knew you would. Traps wouldn't slow you down. So I set the screens to display that image and headed here. As I'm sure you probably worked out, it isn't actually my eye."

"You beat the maze. You won! And you killed every other prisoner. But now, sadly, your journey ends. Thank you for the show. I enjoyed every second."

"And I'm aware that you went into my chamber. Hence your dropping down on me like that. You probably picked up one of the bulletproof vests and think you are very clever. I am cleverer, Curtis. I'll just shoot your head."

"Not quite." Said Curtis flipping open his jacket. The underside was lined with ticking bombs. They all displayed 1 minute.

Willis yelled out angrily. "Are you crazy?"

Curtis smiled. "I thought you were the crazy one? Come and visit me in hell Willis. We can crack on about old times."

Willis frantically pulled a key out of his pocket and twisted it in the exit. He hit a switch. A ceiling above opened up and bright light shone down a vertical shaft with a large elevator leading upwards. Willis stood on the elevator as Curtis ran to jump on with him. Willis pushed him hard careening him towards the edge but Curtis regained his composure.

The clocks ticked.

Nothing happened. Curtis dived into Willis knocking him down and pinning him to the floor. The elevator rose.

"I never armed the bombs. You're not that smart at all really are you. Which begs the question, what kind of sick mind would do all this to begin with. Let's find out."

He flipped up the cowl to reveal a face staring back at him.

"I would have got away with it!" Screamed MOS.

"But you didn't. You failed. Like you failed at everything you ever did prior. Was it really worth it? I don't care much anyway. Goodbye!

Curtis picked up MOS fully bodily and hurled him over the side of the elevator. There was a thud.

The elevator continued to rise as Curtis sat silently.

It finally came to a stop in a small metal room. Taking the exit key he opened the lock and stepped out into blinding sunlight. He'd forgotten what it looked like. The ocean lapped at the side of the rocks where he stood. He glanced up, still clutching Willis' cowl. He could probably climb them.

He struggled upwards one rock at a time until he came to the top. A black hand reached over and pulled him upwards.

"Thank you!" Said a smiling Curtis.

"Not a problem friend." Said the grinning man. He was completely black with large red lips and a turban.

"What are you doing here?" He said peacefully.

Curtis looked forlorn.

"I've been trapped in a madman's maze! He killed everybody and left me for dead but I overpowered him and got out. I haven't eaten in weeks!"

"Goodness!" Said the figure aghast. "We will help get your strength back. Kami come quickly!"

A green man strode forwards out of a large palace.

"What is it Popo?" Said Kami eyeing the figure of Curtis suspiciously.

"This poor man has been through hell. We should help him!"

Kami nodded.

"How can we be of service."

Curtis sighed.

"I could use a nice bath, and some good meals as well as a proper bed. I am awfully tired."

"Yes at once!" Said Kami. "Anything else."

"Well actually," Said Curtis "I was trying to find a group of people before I got captured. I have a little project I was going to work on and I needed some recruits. Maybe you could point me in the direction of the nearest city."

Popo grinned.

"I will take you there myself in the morning. Have no fear!"

"Oh trust me," Said Curtis pulling the cowl of Willis over his head.

"I don't."

THE END

Curtis has fulfilled his win condition and won the game. Everybody else has lost.

Explanation threads will follow over the course of the next couple of days. Everybody can post and discuss the game openly from hereon.

Nobody will raise this but just in case they do!

Curtis will probably go on to erect another labyrinth with a second minotaur in which he is eventually killed. The events of Ultimate mafia were meant to be set a long time after the events of Labyrinth had transpired, so what happened was Curtis as the new Willis was eventually killed as well.

Then they revived everybody with the dragonballs, also reviving everybody who was killed in Lab and thus undoing all of Curtis' proud work meaning both the original Willis and Curtis could compete as separate players.

AND THUS EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE I RETCONNED IT

HOL most of the players.

Especially since I learned post game that QUITE A NUMBER OF THEM were happily discussing it with alive players (after their death) and players from other rooms whilst alive!

Despite all of this outside communication, how Curtis managed to win is bewildering. You guys just honestly really really sucked for the most part.

Dammit, Curtis. Dammit.

We planned on killing you the instant you walked into our room...then a certain somebody took our fucking weapon and ran off with it. The moment I saw you were in the room with me, I was all like "motherfuck" and...yeah.

You should've let me be the last one, and not Drrr.

And damn, if I had only known the hatchet would've been such a weapon, I would've tried to get it way back when! We just said Curtis could have it because nobody else spoke up asking for it!

Also, dammit, TLG was right! He swore up and down Curtis was murderous needing to die Scum because he wouldn't actually do the lie detector test like the rest of us did. And to think, Curtis convinced me to doubt that TLG even had that power...

Why do you think I convinced Henry to take the weapon and come meet me? I almost even got him to shoot Merc in the head on his way out the door
