A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...
Star Wars Episode VII A conterfeit victory
The Empire is in tatters, the emperor is Slayed and the Rebel allience has won, but in the outer rim, a small planet covered in creatures known as pokemon is still at war with the remains of the emperors army, which strangely has kept fighting for some reason, many young people on the planet have been taught the powers of the force, but will their power be enough to hold off the armies of the empire until the allience arrives?
((All out of character is double parentesis, Story is in past tense))
Name- Mason Retorian Species- (can be any star wars speices) Human Age-15 Height- 6,1 Weight- 132 lbs. Lightsaber style/colour- Single sided, purple Hair style/color- long and in face, white Eyes- purple Clothes- White long tunic, black boots. Extra weapons- blaster Pokemon- Raikou Personality- Is strong in jedi ways, tends to be withdrawn until you know him.
"Why me?" Mason quickly yelled at nothing, "why must I fight this stupid war, just because I'm a Jedi?" Mason pulled off his boot and shook out the sand in it, I guess I should rest now anyway, those storm troopers will turn me to Gligar fodder if I'm not 100%." Mason closed his eyes and leaned against a rock, he hoped he was hidden well enough. and that maybe he could find some help the next morning.

((I would love to have more info on this planet please. Environment, political state, population density, and how the locals and Emperials place their structures.))
Name- Kenneth Williams(I told you, has to be in everything I write) Species- stuck as a human given my other choices. maybe I'll make a Trandoshan later. Age-20 Height- 6'0" Weight- 148 lbs. Lightsaber style/colour- Single sided, rapier style, green blade(apparently someone thinks I would have green) Hair style/color- mid-long, wavy, red Eyes- grey-blue Clothes- Tan long tunic, brown boots, brown cloak. Extra weapons- Vibro-shiv(basically a knife, check out some weapon sites for SW) has two, one in left boot, one on belt opposite lightsaber. Pokemon- Scyther Personality- Introverted Jedi Knight. A little out of practice in ways of the Force and so has been sent by Master Skywalker to learn from the Adepts on this planet. Excellent swordsman, pathetic shot.
Kenneth Williams prodded Adept Retorian with the hilt of his Vibro-shiv. The younger Jedi awakened with one hand on a pokeball and the other lifted his lit lightsaber. Kenneth blocked the blow with his own drawn lightsaber. "We have been looking for you Adept Retorian." said Kenneth. "I was sent by the others to find you. There is another out looking for you as we speak. There is a battalion of Stormtroopers moving in this direction. From my vantage point earlier, we have about fifteen minutes to hide traces of your being here and get ourselves out as well." Kenneth clipped his lightsaber to his belt and sheathed his Vibro-shiv. He held out a shaking hand to the young Jedi and looked around them with shifting eyes. "Come with me young Adept. We shall return you to the safety of the others."
((I didn't want to make you a padawan even though Retorian is so young. But you didn't state what level you were either so I made up a new one. There is no Jedi Council, and you didn't say that there were other Knights here so I decided that the Jedi here, being naturally strong in the Force and growing up learning about it, can be called Adepts. There is no class distinction, everyone from the planet is an Adept in the Force. Kenneth is from off planet so he's a Knight, but I wouldn't say he's more powerful. By far. He's a swordsman, not a true Force user. Tell me if you think anything here is weird.))

((heh, this seems fun, I'll join)) Name: Phantomness Species: Meh, too lazy to research, I'll pick human Age: 24 Height: 5'2 Weight: 115 lbs Lightsaber style/color: Single-sided, white blade Hair style/color: Black, shoulder-length, slight wave, two red streaks at each temple Eye color: Gold Clothes: Blue-and-white version of Nurse Joy uniform, white hooded cloak, white knee-length boots and white elbow-length gloves Extra weapons: Punjab Lasso, instant strangulation Pokemon: Chansey, (Secret: Eterneon, Xatu, Sneasal) Personality: Cheerful in 'Nurse Joy' mode, quiet and sarcastic out of it. Also works as a fly-by-night assassin when not a nurse, hence the Xatu. Despises most people, paranoid, *VERY* horrible swordsman, Force Mastery lies in mental shielding, concealment, and healing. Relies on the lasso instead, usually goes for sneak attacks. Jedi Level: Healer
Phantomness handed the adept his healed Charmander back with a scowl. "Do try to keep your pokemon in one piece, please? It took four hours of surgery to fix that mess." Waving off his possible apology or excuses, she turned to the next Adept. With the Imperials *still* running a hopeless war, all the Healers were overworked...
Posted by: Backdraft May 23 2005, 03:40 AM
((Yes, a healer is a viable option. I had an idea that most young Jedi on the planet are Adepts though. That is made up by the way. Adepts are simply unranked beings who are trained in the ways of the Force. They are young but not necessarily weak. We only chose one, that's not a rule though. And I can practically visualize a Nurse Joy with those modifications. That's weird. Good pick though.))
Kenneth and Mason raced along the dunes staying just one dune ahead of the marching Imperials. Kenneth was constantly looking back to see whether they had been spotted yet. They couldn't lead anyone back to the compound. If they were spotted... that would be their problem. Kenneth shifted his speeder into the next drive and they shot over a sand bar. The water below rushed past before turning into sand again. "T-this is one of those days." Kenneth said. He shifted again. "I'm going to be glad to get back home tonight."

(( Hehe, I couldn't resist... ;) I love making new characters! And for the sake of adding
some variety, here, I'll be an alien. XD ))

Name- S'ooihae (SOO-ih-ha-EH) Hiiral (hee-RAHL)
Gender- Male (( You didn't include this one! o_O ))
Species- H'nemthe (http://www.starwars.com/databank/species/hnemthe/)
Age- Looks to be a youth, around ~25 human years
Height- 6'2"
Weight- 220 lbs.
Lightsaber style/colour- Double-bladed yellow
Hair style/color- N/A
Skin color- grey-blue (( Nor this one ;P ))
Eyes- glassy black

Clothes- Brown, homespun robe over a fitted black outfit with grey trim. Extra weapons- Blaster at right hip, vibro-shiv at left. Pokemon- Ralts, Sneasel Personality- Being a H'nemthe, S'oo is sensitive to emotions (hence the Ralts) and heat differences in the environment. He is an excellent scouter and hunter, as well. He is neither extremely introverted nor outgoing, and can talk up a storm when he is around close friends, or lounge in a corner, unseen. His talent for the Force meshed well with his desire not to be killed by a female (see species description), and so the Jedi Adept training seemed an appropriate calling. Ralts is his main pokémon, since they can nearly communicate everything to each other through emotions.
"Why was it you wanted to come here again, Treble?" the slumped H'nemthe asked of his Ralts companion. "Neither you nor I can stand hospitals for very long, you know that." Bass, the Sneasel, leaned against S'oo's leg, seemingly sleeping, but aware of all the activity going on in the healing center.
Treble watched the Adepts bring their injured pokémon to the nurse at the desk, and winced at the conflicting emotions she felt there. I'm often unsure, but I have a feeling about this one. Call it a premonition. She sent comforting thoughts to the charmander that was just released from his hospital stay.

((Everything you said is good Backdraft, I will do a backstory as soon as possible))
"Thank you Adept Willams, I would have come to the compund myself but in my tired state, I could not find my way." Mason closed his eyes and studied his surroundings, it had been so long since he was born on this planet, the planet Nomekop. It had become rather hostile in the past 9 years, inviting all sorts of scum from the surrounding planets, many of which made a sport of capturing the precious pokemon of the planet. It had become so awful that Mason wondered why the Empire had wanted the planet in the first place. Perhaps they were to create a pokemon army, but after the destuction of the Empire, Mason saw no reason for them to remain. He felt that time was the only way to truly tell of their true intentions.

It wasn't as if she were angry with the *Charmander*, it was the trainer's responsibility
to look after his pokemon, after all...
Her golden eyes took on a lighter tinge as she scanned the next pokemon. Hmm...
broken leg. Easy enough to fix... but she didn't want to draw any more Healing Force
right now. Into the back room where it was neatly cleaned and bandaged, returned to
its trainer with a warning to stay off that leg or a week or so for full healing, and then...
the next pokemon... it seemed like the stream would never end...

Name: Flanoir Sylvarant Species: Human Age: 18 (turns 19 during the RPG) Height: 5'6 Weight: 117 lbs Gender: Female Lightsaber style/color: Single-sided, katana style, green blade Hair style/color: dark brown, long, with long bangs that cover one of her eyes Eye color: bright green Clothes: dark green Jedi cloak, with a black tunic underneath, and black boots Pokémon: Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon Jedi Level: padawan Special abilities: very acute sense of hearing (lost during the RPG), quick reflexes Bio: Skilled more in the ways of pokémon battling rather than in lightsaber combat. Flanoir is rather inexperienced but in a fierce battle, she can prove to be a very loyal ally. Each Jedi who has tried to train her to the level of Jedi Knight has mysteriously vanished, and Flanoir is now becoming very worried that she will never be anything more than a padawan. She lacks confidence in her abilities, but she is very trusting of others. She grows attached to others easily, especially her masters, even though Jedi are not supposed to. Detachment was an ability Flanoir never learned or understood.
Flanoir boarded the starship, which was to make its arrival on an outer rim planet, just in time. Her former master told her to travel there, where she would find a new master to train her to the level of Jedi Knight. She heard that on this planet, there existed creatures, much like the ones she commanded to protect herself. Flanoir wondered quietly to herself, perhaps her three allies had been born on this planet? She soon lost her train of thought, as the gentle rock of the starship gradually lulled her to sleep, a sleep that would last until the ship arrived at its destination.
Flanoir awoke with a start; outside she heard the sounds of far-off stormtroopers approaching the small planet. The sounds made her feel unsafe.
Pushing the discomforting thoughts out of her mind, Flanoir disembarked, and began to walk in the opposite direction of the sounds. She was overcome with a feeling of distress and unease. She called out her Jolteon to walk alongside her, but it's usually comforting presence had no effect on her.
The young Jedi desperately hoped to find her new master before any danger arose. She certainly knew she would not be able to handle any sort of military conflict on her own, with or without her pokémon.
((Sorry if this was even worse than what you guys had expected from me, I'm not much of a roleplayer. I still wanted to join despite that because I love Pokémon and Star Wars. Oh and by the way, I'm sorta planning for one of you to be my character's master, if you wouldn't mind.))
Posted by: Backdraft May 24 2005, 09:00 PM
((Wow! I love this. Such a wide range of abilities. No one is the same, we have fencers, healers, Force users, and pokemon trainers. This is just too good to be true! Love the variety. kiohl, I completely forgot about those guys. And I've read that book too... guess I better check it out again. Nice creature choice. Still want to make a Trandoshan later...))
Racing along the canyon rim, Kenneth and Mason barely manage to escape a massing army of Imperial Troops. In Kenneth's borrowed speeder, the two maintain silence until out of range of the Imperial Probes that are constantly surveying the area around the Empire's troops. Something puzzles Kenneth though. Being an offworlder, he has recieved information about the fall of the Galatic Empire and the beginning of the New Republic. Trained by Luke Skywalker on the fourth moon of the planet Yavin in the ways of the Force, this visitor to the planet Nomekop ((great name by the way. Good memory too. Nomekop, nomekop...)) was the first to spread word of the galaxy's good fortune. But... the puzzling thing is the fact that so many of the former Empire's hardiest troops remain on the planet, threatening the way of life for all that live there. His mission... to protect the Force Adepts on the planet Nomekop at all costs and to insure their training in the light side of the Force. As their speeder moves into the underground storage barracks for Lifepod 96 ((sound familiar? and Lifepods are the settlements that are underground.)), Kenneth has a few things to say to his companion in flight. "I do appreciate you calling me Adept Williams." he said. "It gives me a sense of belonging here. This isn't my planet, but you and your neighbors have made me feel welcome here all the same. I'm not as powerful as some of you Adepts. That bothers me. You all go by that term when those of us on the outside give rank to everyone. It gets to be unnerving when everyone must constantly switch between bowing and being bowed to. Your elders had the right idea here. It is too bad that they are all gone now... All that is left are the youth..."

((Hopefully no one minds me posting twice in one day. >_<
I really wanted to continue roleplaying. Oh and the position of my real new master is
still open.))

As Flanoir got further and further away from the starship, she began to hear voices.
After walking a few more minutes, she arrived at a campsite which appeared to belong
to soldiers. From the looks of the campsite, there were no clear signs of to where the
allegiance of the soldiers lied with.

As she was about to investigate items strewn about the weed-infested clearing, a tall
man began to approach her. Jolteon took on a defensive position, but Flanoir however,
did nothing despite the man's dark and hostile appearance. Jolteon noted this as a
sign of his trainer's unrefined instincts, and took a step in front of Flanoir. If she wasn't
going to protect herself, Jolteon thought, he would.

The man said nothing, but rather he stared inquiringly at the lightsaber by her side.
Flanoir noticed his interest in her weapon, and suddenly a thought came to her mind.
Could this be the man that was to train her in the Jedi ways? She had heard about the

battles raging on this planet, Nomekop. Maybe this man was a Jedi soldier? She studied the man who stood before her. He was also carrying a lightsaber!
"S..sir, are you perhaps the man who is to train a padawan by the name of Flanoir Sylvarant?"
The man looked confused for a moment, but Flanoir did not notice. His once blank expression changed into a smirk, one which Flanoir could not understand the reason for.
"Why yes actually, I was told a padawan would be sent to me for training. Are you that padawan?"
Flanoir nodded. She felt a strange feeling of distrust, but that was quickly replaced with one of comfort. She had finally found her new master.
Jolteon however did not trust this man's intentions. Something about his appearance, his expression, his voice, that didn't fit that of a Jedi. Jolteon then decided he would watch this man very closely.

((I'm sorry, I hate playing two characters but this is too hard to pass up... and we love having repeat posters! Love it love it love it! Makes it interesting))
((Name- S'rahk (given by sound he makes when yelling) Species- Trandoshan Age- around 18 for his species-compared to humans Height- 6'4" Weight- 185 lbs. Lightsaber style/colour- hilt is fitted to his species' unique 'hand,' has finger guards that run over the outer two fingers, nothing for thumb. Three spikes on finger guards(he is Trandoshan after all, think brutal). Color is Blue. Blue for blood. He's a reptile.(sorta) Hair style/color- no hair, orange-brown skin Eyes- fiery red Clothes- yellow, ragged tunic, weapons belt around waist, no cloak. He has to conserve his temperature after all Extra weapons- a three-pronged vibro-shiv on his belt, a Blastech E-11 blaster rifle over his shoulder, near out of ammo due to lack of cartridge shipments to the planet. Steals extras from fallen troopers. Pokemon- Feraligatr, Seviper Personality- A typical Trandoshan that is struggling to accept the ways of the light side of the Force and shake off his species' legendary ferocity. Constantly rushing in due to his knowledge of his species' near-invincibilty, S'rahk has lost a limb or two in his time on the planet Nomekop. Gruff exterior, but truely protective of his comrades. Believes that even he can changes his stubborn ways. And so will violently 'encourage' others that they too can change.))
Over the fire pit comes the destroyer. The men have heard many tales of the theif that hunts in the night but few have seen it. Perhaps because those few are dead the legends continue to live. The smells are intoxicating as he leaps the pitiful flames. Such unpreparedness... To have a camp this large and such a small fire at night in the valley is useless. The pop-hiss! aroused his senses and the familiar lust came to him. He saw the one he had come for but the desire of the hunt drove him to kill him last. At long last, the great being swooped in low on the man and kicked him to the ground. There was a girl standing beside him. Not much younger than the others... If he hadn't been here... Perhaps it was a good thing that Seraa had died today. "Your plague on the creatures here ends tonight monster." With a final roar, the creature buried his lightsaber in the man's chest, the man's hand clasped to his side. The girl gave a light shriek. Then silence fell over the camp. Removing the laser sword, the creature knelt by the body of his prey, long limbs creaking as he went down. He brushed aside the man's hand and pulled out a blaster. He tossed it aside. It wasn't the right make. Retrieving the hilt of his childhood friend's lightsaber from the man's belt, the huge reptilian creature stood again. He clipped it on his own belt where two more were located and turned to the girl, her pokemon, an unfamiliar one by its scent, growled with raised hair. "He is not the one you seek, but I." the large reptilian eyes blinked slowly. "I have sought him all night. He murdered my friends and divided their belongings among the men. The men..." He said men so venomously that he started off in the growlings of his native language. "I have their possesions now, and since those that follow this man will find you here tomorrow with that weapon at your side. You will accompany me to the havens. What you do from there I do not care. I have done tonight what I set out to do. Follow me."
Posted by: Jolty May 24 2005, 10:46 PM
((You did an awesome job playing as a second character. I'll probably stick to playing as just one myself though, for now at least.))
Flanoir was in awe. The man who declared himself as her new master was a murderer. A liar. Dishonorable. How she loathed him for tricking her.
She looked upon the wretched man, and held back a tear. Once again, she was left without a master. She felt her entire body fill with rage, but she supressed it. Anger was not for a Jedi. She would not allow it to consume her.
She gave her Jolteon a reassuring look, as if to say the creature standing before them was a friend. She arose, and began to follow him. She would follow him anywhere. This creature, although unfamiliar, gave her a feeling of security. He would surely lead her and her pokémon to somewhere safe.
Posted by: phantomness May 24 2005, 10:48 PM
(Mind if I interject here? I need someone to interact with...)
She looked up as a Jolteon and its presumed trainer entered through the doors of the Healing Center. Please, please, don't tell me there are more injured pokemon, I've been working for sixteen hours straight and right now I just want to sleep...
Posted by: MalionX May 24 2005, 11:03 PM
"Yes, The loss of the elders is very sad, and many of the young Adepts on the planet are too weak and untrained to take on higher roles in our government, which is almost non-existant now. The reason I call you Adept is that you carry a pokemon, to be an adept you must be able to tame and work with a pokemon of some sort, even those on the planet that are unable to use the force are called adept, but the title comes after the surname." Mason jumped out of the speeder and landed on the ground. "Come and eat with me Adept Willams, I am in your dept until you do so." Mason gave a small smile, it was nice having outsiders around.

Posted by: kiohl May 25 2005, 12:04 AM
Treble's attention was suddenly caught by the strong aura of naivete and trust surrounding the girl that just entered the door. The big one that preceded her had no real emotions... a very practical one, that.
What's this? It's not often we see a Trandoshan Jedi, especially not one willingly accompanied by a human. I think, she thought to S'oo, I think these are the ones we've been waiting for.
S'oo and Bass watched the two enter beneath lidded eyes. The H'nemthe startled slightly when a Jolteon followed the girl in. Eevees were rare, and thunderstones were expensive. He caught sight of multiple lightsabres adorning the Trandoshan's belt, as well as one on the girl's. He wondered curiously about their background, and, deciding that this was the catalyst that Treble had been waiting for, he rose from his seated position on the couch and approached them, open palm outwards in a gesture of peace.
"Good evening, fellow Jedi," he said politely. "My name is S'oo, and we've been waiting for you."
Posted by: Backdraft May 25 2005, 12:07 AM
Kenneth was suprised to know that the term Adept referred not to the Jedi and their abilities with the Force, but to their ability to use pokemon. He smiled and climbed out of the speeder, almost falling out. Perhaps in that sense, he was also an Adept like Mason had said. "It would be an honor to eat with the bearer of one of the mighty beasts." said Kenneth. "I will tend to this speeder's repairs first and join you when I am finished. I'll see you in the square then?"
The great reptilian hunter slammed down his heavy belt, filled with pokeballs.
"These need to be recovered," he said gruffly. "The scarred ball is mine, you know
who the others belonged to."
The hunter moved away from the counter, leaving the Healer and the new girl behind.

He growled in his throat. Just the thought of the extra pokeballs boiled his blood. Who would take care of their pokemon now? As a reptilian, he would have to check such emotions. They got in the way of his training, and his health.
((Hey, that was easier than I thought, maybe this dual role won't be so bad )) ((Edit - You got me just before I posted kiohl! But, looking over my post and yours, and weighing my character... my post stands
))
Posted by: kiohl May 25 2005, 12:10 AM
(( Doh, we posted at the same time! >> ))
(( Hahaha, okay, he's not one for conversation then, eh? ;P ))
S'oo was caught a little off-guard at the gruffness (and you could even say rudeness)
of the big, angry reptilian. He cleared his throat awkwardly and tried again, this time
directing his greeting at the girl.
"Hello, what brings you around here?" he asked, as Treble and Bass came to his side.

Posted by: Jolty May 25 2005, 12:20 AM
Flanoir watched the creature closely. She wasn't quite sure of what species he was. His actions confused her, his tone of voice made him out to be rather gruff, but earlier he had saved her and Jolteon. A humane and selfless act. Was this creature truly friendly?
He seemed nice enough, she thought. Whether it was wise or not, she felt like she trusted him.
She then noticed another unfamiliar creature was speaking to her.
"Oh, hello!" Flanoir replied with a smile. She was a little embarassed that she had not noticed the creature sooner, but she was glad that he was another Jedi. She felt comfortable around them.
"You say you've been...waiting for us?"
A feeling of surprise and confusion swept over Flanoir. Could this strange creature be her master?
(Aack, you posted before me kiohl))
The creature's next question caught her off guard. Flanoir was still puzzled over his first statement. She took a moment before answering.
"I'm here with this...creature. He saved me and my pokémon from danger."
Posted by: kiohl May 25 2005, 12:29 AM
"Actually, not I," he said, dipping his head in what he hoped was a friendly greeting. He could sense her confustion, not just through the four sensory cones on his head, but through his Ralts as well. He didn't want to alarm her. Especially since she and the big reptilian were traveling companions.
"My Ralts, Treble, is often sensitive to premonitions of a sort. She's the one that has been waiting for you."
(( You posted before me too XD ))
Posted by: Jolty May 25 2005, 12:35 AM
A premonition? About her? Flanoir took another moment before responding. The expression on her face was still one of confusion, but inside, all she felt was anxiety and excitement.
"W..why is your Ralts waiting for me? Has it gotten a premonition about me?"
Flanoir could feel herself growing even more excited and anxious as the question escaped her lips. But then a thought crossed her mind- not all premonitions are positive. What if...what if Ralts told her that she would never become a Jedi Knight?
Her mind was plagued with worry, but she still awaited the creature's answer with excitement. There was still the chance that what Ralts had to tell her was positive.

((This way it won't matter whether you guys post first or me))

Kenneth watched the Adept go and waited a few minutes before leaning over the
speeder.
"I saw you get in back there now scoot!" he said.
A creature shot out of the back of the vehicle and zoomed off into the dark.
"I have enough trouble borrowing speeders around here, don't ruin this and drop my
reputation. I'm already an offworlder. I don't need a wrecked speeder on my record."
Kenneth check to make sure that everything was in order before returning the starter
lock to the craft's owner.
"Thank you Adept Doshin, I knew I could count on your help with a vehicle. Everything
checks out."
The Adept nodded and went back to his job, watching the incoming vessels.

Posted by: kiohl May 25 2005, 12:45 AM
S'oo looked down at Treble, who was sensing the girl and her pokemon. Treble, what do you think? he asked her.
She lowered her little arms and returned her caretaker's gaze. I'm still not sure what's
going to happen, but she's involved as much as we are. I'm sure of that.

Alright. Out loud, he said exactly that. "Treble cannot say exactly, but something is going to happen, and soon. And you're going to be there to see it, maybe influence it. That's all she can tell." He wanted to relieve her worry, but he was not one to lie either.
Posted by: Backdraft May 25 2005, 12:50 AM
The big hunter, a Jedi, a Trandoshan, sat at a table across from the two Adepts talking now. He feigned uninterest but a spark of conversation had caught his ear holes and he was now resigned to listening in on the whole thing.
They think I can't hear them. Huh! I can pick up the very undertones of their conversation.
And in his mind, he knew that something big was going to happen. The way the male had spoken, and the girl reacted. Yesss... Something big. And S'rahk wanted in on it.
