Kanou stood at the entrance to Cerulean City, just past the route and cavern systems leading to it. It was a generally good looking day, with some cloud coverage as well. A light breeze had the grass tickling Kanou's ankles as he stepped onto the main path, away from the greenery of the natural world. Down a little ways he could see a short haired woman in a red dress standing beside what he could only presume to be the local gym. A few other people were dotted here and there, but were not as accessible to Kanou. They were hiding out behind fences and in back yards, as it were. The local pokecenter was also easily visible, next to the gym. Bones had been in a rather happy mood lately. In order to get to Cerulean, Kanou and Bones had to travel through the caves of Mount Moon, something that the little ground pokemon could relate to. Kanou hadn't needed to take him out of his pokeball since leaving the mountian, though, so who really knew how the little guy would feel now. |

Kanou looked around. Cerulean had a fresh breeze about it, and after having crossed the caves of Mount Moon it sure felt more aired outside, and his lungs were already fixed after all the dry and cold air he breathed inside those caves. Looking around the nice little town, he tried to figure out what he wanted to do next. He could get into the Pokemon center and make sure Bones was alright, even sit down a little and rest his legs for awhile, or he could explore the city a little more before getting lazy. Deciding what was best for himself, he figured the Pokecenter could wait and as such he looked around. There were people here and there, but one in particular caught his attention. Not only was it because it was a woman, but also it was the only person available in sight to chat with. Making way towards her, Kanou tried to sneak a peek inside the Gym, commenting out loud to Bones, though he was sure the other girl might hear him. "Hm... So this is an actual Gym... Hey Miss!" Turning his head, he looked at her. "Hi... sorry, could you tell me who owns this Gym?..." He was fully aware he couldn't take on a gym, not yet, but he felt terribly curious about it. |

The girl turned her head to Kanou as he approached her, a puzzled look on her face. Her hair was blue, which apparently makes sense in all things associated with anime, so it wasn't too strange of a sight. She looked to be about twelve or thirteen, with cream-colored skin. Her eyes matched her hair, which was just over shoulder-length. She wore a blue and red striped dress, that came down just above her knees. "Huh? Oh, um, like... Yeah. You're a new guy, like, right?" She spoke in a strange accent Kanou had never heard before, which she emphasized by placing her let hand on her hip. "Well, um.. Yeah, this gym is, like, owned by.... Uh... I forget... Um... Oh yeah! Misty! She's, like, so not pretty, though, and like, a tomboy. You totally shouldn't, like, bother with her, ya know? Like, am I right?" |

The girl looked cute, at first sight, and a little older than Kanou, though he wasn't sure whether she was or not. For someone with blue hair himself, her hair color made perfect sense and he started at her eyes through his blue cold ones. Her dress was a bit off, but Kanou wasn't properly a fashion expert, so he didn't mind that either. Kanou paid her puzzled look with a puzzled look himself after hearing the girl talk. Had her accent and stance been not enough to rape his mind, the way she spoke all those words without need surely did the job. Kanou tried to talk after hearing all of that, but all he could do was mumble a few words -- correction, a few word-like sounds, before stopping himself, closing his eyes and breathing in. He opened his eyes back and looked at her again. "Erm... I... huh... Yeh, I guess?..." He looked backwards, towards the door of the gym. He felt like entering, but than again, this city didn't inspire him much trust. Something about this place rubbed him the wrong way. "What's the... huh... specialty of the gym?" He was a little afraid of the girl's possible reply, but he just felt curious about it. |

The girl flicked her head up as if to think, her hair swaying with the motion. After a few moments of holding her finger to her chin and darting her eyes around, she decided to speak again. "Uh... Well, like, I don't really all know, but, like, I think it's.... All like, water and stuff. But maybe it was electric? Oooooh, speaking of electric, you should totally see my new manicure. Ssssoooooo sparkly and stuff. Hehehehe." |

Kanou was genuinely surprised. A simple answer like that, and this girl had been able to make little to no sense. So this was either water or electricity? If it was electricity, he might just have a chance. If it was water, he would have no chances at all. It was too risky to walk into a gym anyway, so Kanou didn't bother to give it further thought; he and Bones had yet to have a true pokemon battle yet... though they trained on regular basis, he hadn't encountered a wild pokemon with which he could test Bones' true skills. So, giving the girl a look of mind rape with a large sweat drop on his forehead, he replied in between mumbles. "Erm... yeh... I'll have to pass on your manicure, I'm sure it looks nice and all but... erm... I should be like... going... erm..." Turning his back on the girl, he started to walk towards the middle of the town, trying to see any more points of interest he should visit. |
