EU-FM Posts: 550 Group: Public Relations Member #7 Joined: Mar 4, 2009	Now, I went to see this movie full of high hopes of coming out with a stupid childish grin on my face and a little giggle escaping my lips from time to time merely remembering scenes from the movie. However; I was mistaken in thinking this. The film itself is awesome and the fact that this place is based from a real place on earth astounds me and I love it. Now for the spoiler for those that don't want it ruined before they see it. This is not the entire plot, just the bits I remember since I saw the movie weeks ago. Up! My thoughts and opinions. Well, this film started off all sweet and innocent and awesome and funny. Two kids meet one another, have a major life ambition in common, one is a boy, one is a girl. They become best friends! YAY! They both want to travel the world to go to this secret place where their all time hero flight man goes (I'm no good with names). However... as time goes on, they age, and they become a couple (inevitably) and it goes on like this... The basic advances in life when in a couple and so on, marriage, moving in, buying a house, decorating the house, wanting a baby. Now *this* is where it gets sad. She finds out that there will not be a baby, we don't find out exactly why just that she can't/won't have one. And so they then decide that they'll accomplish their dream and go to where this explorer flight hero of theirs went. They save and save, but one thing after another comes into light and they have to use their hard saved money that they were going to use for travel on life's emergencies. It eventually gets to the point where they're an old couple and they've still not achieved their dream holiday together. They've also got this routine throughout their life together, where they take a picnic to the top of a hill and eat and spend time alone. The girl usually drags the guy up the hill, but the last time we see it, she collapses on the way up. And the main old man has to help her, she ends up in hospital and then dies leaving the poor old man on his own. He then ends up accidentally hitting a random worker guy on the head and gets told he has to leave his home he's lived in with his with forever and that's really sad too and makes me cry more. Now at this point, i've been crying like a total baby through most of it. The rest of the movie consists of little funny bits interrupted by the old man remembering old things and making me cry. Again. It goes on like that for a while but there are some pretty damn funny bits in the movie which i shall not spoil because they're awesome when you don't know. It's a totally awesome movie idea, but it made me bawl my eyes out the whole time. Now.... I didn't ruin too much except the first like 20 mins of the movie, but still... it was an alright movie but it's really really really sad.

Hell, it was one of the best movies I'd seen, period. I give it a perfect 5/5, or a 9.5/10 if we want to go that high up into the scale.

Posts: 1,164 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Mar 4, 2009	I have mixed feelings about this movie, on one hand i think its pretty cool for being different, while on the other i dun like it for being the difference too. The reasons because I literally said to Charlotte before we seen it "Its a pixar movie their never bad we'll have a laugh and giggle bout it for the rest of the day" and low and behold i laughed about once and came out the movie utterly depressed. So for originality i give it 4/5 but for comedy i give it 1/5 so mixed reviews.
