Skye was currently sitting on the roof of the house, chirping quietly. The pidgy was also excited to start its journey with her trainer on this fine, sunny day. A gentle breeze drifted through the nearby trees and flora. To Jacen's left was route 3, which would eventually take him to Cerulean City. If he pressed forward, he could take on route 2, which would lead to Viridian City, but ultimately to Pallet Town, the home of Professor Oak, something of a Mecca for pokemon trainers. Noticing her trainer had just left the house, Skye perked up and flew down to Jacen, landing on the child's shoulder. She unruffled her wings a bit, smacking Jacen's ear in the process, but it was only for a second. "Chirp?"

Posts: 146 Group: RP Moderator Member #3 Joined: Mar 4, 2009	He grinned as a shiver rose up his spine from the excitement, his journey would finally begin, when he next returned here to his home town he vowed he’d have at least a few new badges to show for it. He looked around from his doorway, trying to find out what would be the best route to take. He could attempt taking on Brock, but that was not the best idea right now, as awesome as Skye was, he doubted she would do much good against Brocks ground type pokemon. His thought process was interrupted when he felt the touch of Skye’s wing against his cheek. He smiles, tilting his head slightly. “you right, it doesn’t matter where we go from here… Lets just pick a route and walk” He spun on the spot, careful not to knock Skye of his shoulder before walking off in the direction of Cerulean City, if he could pick up a water pokemon, by the time he got back, it should be strong enough to take on and defeat brock… hopefully.

As he took off, however, a girl with long dirty-blond hair in a pink dress came up to him. Apparently, she had just been right around on the other side of the house. "Jacen? Where are you going, brother?" she asked in a familiar voice. It was, in fact, Jacen's sister. She looked sad, and crossed her arms nervously, shifting her gaze between Jacen and Skye.

Posts: 146 Group: RP Moderator Member #3 Joined: Mar 4, 2009	As he was getting ready to leave he heard the voice of his sister, swivelling on his heal to look towards her. I had given his goodbyes to his mother and father, but he must of forgotten to speak with her. He looked to the floor rather embarrassed by his sudden realization. He looked towards Skye who chirped away on his shoulder before looking back to her. "I'm going to begin my pokemon journey, just like dad did... I'm going to be a pokemon trainer... as master!" his voice rising with excitement. "I'm not getting any younger, plus a lot of people my age start training now!"

It was odd, Jacen had never seen her this way before. She had a more hardened heart than that, hadn't she? Then again, this situation was different from the norm. She stepped a little closer to him, opening her arms for an embrace. "It's not like I care that you're going or anything, but you never said goodbye to me, you big butthead."
