There Was A House.

How utterly ridiculous. The house was barely suitable for a student, much less a women of her standard. While the house was very much bigger then the others in the area, it was still nearly not enough to Tsubaki's expectations, to what she had hoped --no, correction expected-- to... Take over. Dominate. Make it her own. There were six rooms in total, main living room, kitchen, bathroom, main bedroom with en suite bathroom [which was a natural hot spring with a toilet trapped in four walls] and two fairly sized guest bedrooms. The house was in perfect condition, cream walls, just a shade different then white, brand new furniture [though sparse and mostly the kind where you sat on the floor, or close at least] and the Japanese theme from back home ringing true everywhere. The grounds outside weren't big, because in the 66th district of Rukongai one couldn't exactly get the nice houses seen in Kyoto over in the Living World, but the grass was kept clean, with a little koi-pond full of lively fishes and lily pads.

In her early days, she had suffered the unfortunate experience of being victim to thieves, though in each case they had been a stupid bunch of children who she dealt with accordingly. Now they didn't dare oppose her. It was exhilarating, having that affect on people. If she didn't know better, she'd think that she was beginning to create a little sadistic streak in her nature.

Preposterous. Her? Sadistic? A humorous thought.

Tsubaki finished arranging flowers in a vase, deep orchids that clashed deeply with the cream wall backdrop, a deep exhalation passing through her lips. Her face was blank, devoid of emotions, her usual expression, yet she felt relaxed, serene and almost satiated. Soon, she'd have to begin her little project, the whole reason why she'd even come to Soul Society. Soon, she'd have no reason to rest, to relax, unless the Shinigami were really as stupid as her people claimed they were. And soon, she'd be bringing hell and chaos, since she simply knew that her little project wasn't going to be a quiet one. Where to start, where to start~?

With the question ringing in her head, she patted the flowers affectionately, still a blank expression on her face, and left her house, closing the door quietly behind her. Wouldn't do well to wake up that moody cat that always slept on her porch.

As usual for districts as luxurious as this, there didn't appear to be much of anything going on, or rather, nothing of particular interest for such an ambitious young women such as Tsubaki. With the punk children likely from somewhere near-by finally 'taken care of' and thusly unwilling to openly attempt to steal from her again, anytime soon at least, it appeared she would be hard pressed to find much more trouble. As opposed to some other, less flashy, areas of seretei. It seemed this district was more on 'the up and up', one could say. A few houses dotted the area around the one Tsubaki had taken for herself, each close to, however lacking in one small detail or another to hers, she had after all picked the best of the best. As she expected, the cat which she had seemingly come to know over her course of time spent at the home was in its usual spot, poised on the edge of the porch with its tail hanging off the side and swaying lightly side to side. Its eyes were closed, and one of its ears gave a slight twitch at the subtle sound of the door, however the cat didn't stir much more from its slumber. The weather as usual, for this area of seretei at least, was vibrantly warm and joyous. Filled with the radiant weight of a summer's day, a silent breeze coursed its way past the young Tsubaki. The less vibrant sounds however, were that of quiet older persons going about their days, indeed not a single misfit of a child were to be seen among them.

With having now left the house, a gentle breeze blew at her hair, moving it slightly with the wind, a gentle swaying of blue. Her eyes darted left and right, inspecting her surroundings and the atmosphere of her neighbourhood, seeing usual business going about, nothing of importance in the air. She noticed that the cat was awake, but did not stir as to her exiting the house. A small push to her door confirmed that it was shut, a habit she had picked up from her stay in Soul Society. With the security measures over, she began walking down a rigid path, past stalls and other similar houses, each step controlled and precise, not making a sound on the earth beneath her feet.

Her destination was the gates separating Seiretei from Rukongai, the gates to where the Shinigami's went about their day, where all business relating to them was held, where everything was held. Today was just a scouting day, just seeing the outsides of the wall, the area around it and possibly the gate entrances, whether they were guarded and such. Despite having stayed in Soul Society for many years, Tsubaki had bided her time, stayed patience [for it wasn't as if she was to die], waiting for a time she preffered to begin her little 'project'. That time was now -as cliché as that sounded- and first off was seeing the gate in all it's glory.

With the help of her Mantel, her cloak, she would be able to travel anywhere and everywhere, even converse with a Shinigami if the need arise, as long as she used no Quincy-type moves, be them offence or defence. While this put her at a major disadvantage [for if she did use her skills, she would get jumped by 100+ Shinigami's or so in the blink of an eye], it also gave her benefits, because there was no other way she would be able to get so close with her blood, with her reiatsu. Thinking this, Tsubaki let out a small, mental sigh, her face devoid of emotions as she left her district, moving from #66 down to where she knew was #1. Thinking this, the female Quincy began thinking carefully of how things should take place, mapping every clue and detail with Plan B's and C's. Wouldn't hurt to be prepared.

Nothing of much interest happened as Tsubaki made her way to her destination, one noteworthy thing she would have noticed would have been district 4. For the most part, the districts appeared to grow in better shape as they grew closer to seiretei, however the districts around number 4 appeared to be far poorer in quality, and 4 itself was a mess of poverty and shabby buildings. However, Tsubaki soon made it to the gate for this section of districts. The gate itself was MASSIVE, easily smothering the view from inside and surrounding seretei from either side of the equally large opening. However, the entrance was open and Tsubaki would be able to catch glimmers of the inside's working...of course, nothing substantially important would be viewed from this far outside, could it? As far as guards were concerned, there appeared to be two male shinigami guarding the entrance, if you could really call what they did guarding...

One of the shinigami, a young scrawny looking man with placid blond hair, was sitting lazily on a wooden stool, his back resting against the side of the gate. He didn't look very powerful, or very important considering he didn't appear to enjoy his job in the least. As far as weaponry went, a spear looking weapon rested vertically against the wall beside the sitting reaper, however he didn't appear to be carrying a sword, from this angle at least. The other man was much stronger, and looked to be taller, although considering the first was sitting it wasn't as easy to tell. This shinigami was far more muscular, and he wore a devious grin as he taunted the young spirit of a small boy. It would soon become clear to Tsubaki as to what had happened prior, should she watch the event unfold.

With a small toy ball lifted high above his head in one hand, the stronger of the two shinigami, which was positioned just within the wall of seretei held the small child back with his free hand roughly placed against the kid's head. The whinny child cried, repeatedly asking for his toy and attempting to grasp for it, while failing every time. Finally the sitting shinigami looked lazily over to the other, his head still rested against the wall and his arms folded over his chest.
"Oi oi, give the brat his toy already Tachibana. His yelling is givin me a headach."

The shinigami who had responded to the name, Tachibana, looked over to the pale haired shinigami with a smug and disturbingly happy expressing, continuing to bully the smaller and younger child. His voice was much deeper, and if Tsubaki were to get close enough, she would not only notice that he appeared much older than the one sitting, but he also bore a sword at his side.
"Tch, ain't nobody supposed to get in er who ain't meant too. Not my fault the little brat let his ball roll past the entrance, its mine now."

During the last part of his sentence, Tachibana looked back down to the kid lifting the ball up and down above his head to further taunt him. At the moment, for now, only these two visible threats awaited Tsubaki, should she dare to get closer.

Of course she dared, what was there not to dare? No warning bells rang in her mind, and if push came to shove Tsubaki could take a couple of hits, all for the sake of not having her Mantel automatically remove itself by being a prideful woman and fighting back. Besides, despite having first studied both Shinigami's features, neither of them looked as if they could pack a punch - and Tsubaki had come to learn that no matter how strong a man was, their genitals was always their weak point. Amusing little fact.

As such, her outlook didn't change at all, she was in fact grateful for the little child [though his predicament was saddening], he gave her a reason to get closer, possibly see past the gate, see how Seiretei was formed. A few more steps took her closer to the pair, the blue haired Tsubaki very much looking in place due to her refined looks, for district #1 was for the more wealthy - for the more fortunate of people-- more like of souls. "I wasn't aware you were the owner of everything inside Seiretei," She spoke, her voice melodious, almost polite, her face breaking into a small, feminine smile. Merely the curl of her lips.

She made no move to touch the ball, nor even touch the child, but stepped closer to the pair to fall into clear view, naturally acting as a passing district #1 resident would - for they were surely used to the Shinigami's, worst case scenario they'd be afraid of them, but not every soul would, so she was safe both ways. "Does your guard duty bore you to the extent of terrorizing young souls?"

As Tsubaki made her way closer to the two, she garnered the attention of the blond haired Shinigami who was sitting off to the right part of the entrance. As she had gotten closer, it would have become more apparent that the sitting Shinigami had no zanpakuto, and that the spear-like weapon appeared to be the only one at his disposal. He cocked her a suspicious glance, however nothing to imply that he knew much more beyond the fact that an attractive young women were coming up to the gate entrance. Just as she wanted, from the new and closer perspective she was able to see past the entrance and inside of Seretei. The inside wasn't much different from the outside, there appeared to be lines of dojo-like buildings on either side of a fairly long road. It would have been hard to see much further down the road, but there appeared to be another building at its end. It wasn't too apparent what the buildings were used for, possibly training, living quarters, or some other various use. There was no more Shinigami in the immediate area inside, however off in the far distance there appeared to be a female Shinigami standing outside one of the buildings looking in and laughing at something. Her words went unheard, but she appeared to be talking to someone inside the building, that would have meant at least one more Shinigami and an unknown amount of other individuals should Tsubaki decide to become more aggressive.

Then again, from the distance if she were quiet enough, the female Shinigami might not even notice anything... The Shinigami who had gone by the name Tachibana, hadn't particularly noticed Tsubaki until she got up close. Shifting his glance over to her when she commented about him owning everything inside, he had a rather firm expression that possibly resembled that of a man attempting to show off his 'strength'. However, when Tsubaki smiled he soon bore a broad grin of his own, he didn't seem to think of her as any form of threat, possibly out of his own pride or Tsubaki masking her true intentions. With a hardy huff, Tachibana carelessly tossed the child's toy back into district #1, although he didn't appear to put any effort into it, should Tsubaki look she would have noticed that the ball went quite a distance. The child scampered off to try and fetch his ball, and it appeared all eyes were on Tsubaki now.
"HAH! Guard duty? Me? That is quite the riot little lady."

Tachibana's words were just as expressive as Tsubaki would have thought, considering his appearance, loud in an attempt to dominate the conversation, he would likely be just as much a brute in combat.
"I'm on patrol for the 11th Division, I keep everything inside safe from little brats and troublemakers. Sides, they wouldn't waste my talents here, maybe I'll show you just how talented I am sometime, eh?"
This Shinigami sure appeared to be full of himself, however, if Tsubaki were clever...she could probably use that aspect to her advantage. The blond haired Shinigami shifted his attention back to the bigger loud mouth, for the time being at least, he didn't appear to think anything more of Tsubaki than a regular soul from the district. He got a rather sour expression from Tachibana's words, and the new conversation seemed to be waking him up a bit more to what was going on around him.
"Oi oi, protecting in theres same as out here, yeah? Still guarding, you fool."

The blond haired Shinigami appeared to be half asking Tsubaki, and half attempting to drive his point home with his thick skulled ally, although honestly it was a wonder which he was leaning toward the most.

If Tsubaki had been an expressive person, even mentally, a long smirk would have stretched itself across her face on the moment of hearing the two Shinigami's replies - but she merely reacted in smiling politely at the young boy that scattered off to catch his ball, her eyes closing such as any polite lady would do to further make herself seem kind, polite, kind [repetition to emphasise a point], although to be honest, it wasn't much of an act on her part. Tsubaki had been taught with morals and politeness drilled into her very core - she'd smile politely at anyone who looked her way.

A small chuckle left her lips, a low octave sound, one that didn't move her body at all, looking back up at the two Shinigami's. "Of course, guarding the gates is a job given to only those capable of it, correct? You must be highly powerful." She was amused, for the larger Shinigami had called her a 'little lady', by all means she looked like a grown woman, she acted like a grown women, nowhere did she think of herself as little, but it didn't affect her. The big man had probably only looked at her size rather then her actual features. 'I wonder how they would have greeted me if my Mantel was no more,' she thought, her eyes having already feasted what lay beyond the gate, her good eyesight spotting the lone figure of what seemed to be a female Shinigami, though it didn't interest Tsubaki at all. In her time at Soul Society, she had learnt enough of the Gotei 13 system, such that she was no stranger to know the different themes of particular divisions, unfortunately though, she didn't know enough, maybe this would be her chance.

"11th division? Is that not the more..." Her visage seemed to be that of a woman struggling for words, just a low hum before she spoke up once more, her voice velvety. "Aggressive of the divisions...? No wonder why you are here." Her tone was directed to both Shinigami's, her face directed to both as she stepped closer slightly in a friendly way, just a woman passing by to chat. Shinigami's protect the souls of Rukongai, do they not? "Thank you for the hardwork-!"

Just her luck, because as well as the 11th division being the more violent of the divisions, they also happened to be the less intelligent, when generalised of course. Just her luck, that Tsubaki knew at least that much.

The two shinigami had been distracted by each other verbally butting heads, and hadn't noticed Tsubaki's smile toward the child, allowing her ruse to further itself thanks to their lack of insight. Finally both looked over to the women as she continued, the blond haired Shinigami in particular appeared to have been swayed from her compliment. Although unlike Tachibana, he appeared to be more reserved and although he wasn't the most modest person Tsubaki was likely to have met, he also didn't appear to be a stranger to the notion. Looking away from Tsubaki, and finally closing his eyes and adjusting himself on his seat, he added a small comment that had a very subtle sign of being embarrassed.
"..Of course."

Moving one of his hands up to his face, the blond haired shinigami scratched the side of his cheek with his pointer finger, likely trying to hide any emotion stirred by Tsubaki's comment. Tachibana on the other hand, held no such reserve. Giving a loud and hardy laugh, neither of them appeared to be any the wiser of Tsubaki's true intentions, and slowly but surely, she was weaving her web of deception. Closing in the distance between himself and Tsubaki, Tachibana reached one of his hands up in an attempt to pat the women on her shoulder.
"You lady are sumthin else, how about you an me get us a drink? I know this place, way better than anything they sell in the districts that fer damn sure, HAH."

It seemed that Tsubaki's charm was getting the better of Tachibana, perhaps if she played her cards right she could exploit him for one reason or another. However the blond haired shinigami quickly looked over to the larger, his expression far more serious than before.
"Oi, you ain't suggestin what I think are ya?"

Her hands held each other, one palm on top of the other, around her waist. Her posture was relaxed, elegant, graceful, for just as she had noted of herself before, this was not acting. She had no reason to be rude or any less polite to these two men, even if they were Shinigami, these particular two were only doing their job - it was the higher ranks that Tsubaki might have had a problem with. Might. For Tsubaki preferred to first hear reasoning from both side and then make her decision on which side was more of a threat to her. This meant that Tsubaki was aware that one should not judge a book by its cover, and while the bigger Shinigami acted like she had figured he would, and the younger Shinigami also acted as his appearance, it didn't mean that any of what she was to try would be easy. She couldn't drop her guard, even a slight twitch had to be noted and placed into the corresponding mental data.

The blonde Shinigami seemed to her the more... Focused. The type that could possibly keep quiet, but in doing so see the tiny things that would keep him one step ahead. The large Shinigami too wasn't just brute strength and no brains, certainly it took some sort of intelligence to get the power he now held, but in both cases no warning bells rang in Tsubaki's head. Her first mission was going rather smoothly, if she could say so herself. Now as for the invitation the large man had given her, she had a slight inkling as to where this 'place' was. Hopefully inside Seiretei. Immediately, warning bells rang, for the first time in many years, but they weren't too loud, just the actual beginning of the tricky part.

No respectable woman would go with a man she'd just met to some random pub. Even in Seiretei.

"Aaah, I wouldn't want to keep you men from your duties." 'It would be too dangerous to enter in anything but the Shinigami uniform' "If I can simply lighten your day by conversing with you, I'd be more then happy." Cue smile, cue closing eyes. As she finished speaking, she opened her eyes to show deep cerulean, which somehow added on more to her respectable woman theme.

"Please, tell me more about life as a Shinigami, I can't help but find it interesting,"

As the conversation moved forward, and more events unfolded, it was only natural that things couldn't remain quiet for much longer... Returning from District 1 was yet another male Shinigami, this one seemed far more attentive, and had a stature among himself similar to Tsubaki in respect. His pattern of walking, the way his hand rested at the hilt of his sword, and when his eyes glanced over the women, the deadly seriousness that presented itself, all seemed to indicate that he would not be as easily swayed by the women's words as these two. As he made his way closer to the gate, it would become more and more apparent that he was returning to Seiretei from one reason or another, and would of course pass by Tsubaki and the other two men. The blonde haired Shinigami took notice, as from his angle he could see around Tsubaki, and without further interruption looked away from the two and off to the side. Tachibana on the other hand, was not so fortunate, and continued to boastfully present himself to the young women with a broad grin.
"Interesting? OH, yes."

Tachibana removed his hand from the women's shoulder and made a motion with his hand as he tried to explain, resting his other hand at his side as he spoke. Clearly he was attempting to make himself seem grander, although not all of what he said could be exaggerated could it?
"Oh they have us do all kinds of stuff, I'm pretty handy with a sword myself. Yeah, my skill was so great they took me into the 11th right out a the academy."

Before Tachibana could divulge more information however, the new individual came forward. The new Shinigami had long raven black hair, with the front split down either end of his face and the back tied up into a kind of ponytail of sorts. He bore a kind of tribal tattoo on the right side of his face, which was the side Tsubaki would see from her angle the most. It was a strange tattoo, however if she were clever enough, she might be able to make out the depiction of a few hollows crossed out. Perhaps in some way he was keeping a record of how many hollows he had killed? There was also the kanji for 11th, printed within the tribal tattoo, it seemed likely that like these two, he also was in that division. He stopped right beside Tachibana and Tsubaki, however kept himself split between them at the same time. His attention moved directly to Tachibana, and although he held a kind of grace about him and his movements, he appeared to utterly ignore Tsubaki's presence.
"Tachibana, return to your position, posthaste. I shall not remind you, again."

Tachibana's expression grew far less joyous, clearly he didn't enjoy being talked down too, however it didn't appear he could really do much on the matter as before he could make a rebuttal the new Shinigami had already shifted his attention to the blond haired shinigami, completely ignoring Tsubaki as he looked around her.
"Umaro, be more..."
Finally his eyes shifted directly to Tsubaki's, for the first time since making his appearance he appeared to take notice of her, however from the chilling glare it was apparent that he knew fully well she were there the entire time, and just now decided to grant her the right of his attention.
"Attentive."
Although he were looking at her, it was obvious that he thought very, very little of her. And that his comment toward the blond haired Shinigami, to which he referred to as Umaro, was intended for Tsubaki. Without giving Tsubaki time to react to himself, the dark haired Shinigami moved between her and Tachibana, pushing Tachibana with his shoulder and likely doing the same to Tsubaki should she not move back in time.

One step back and another polite smile, even if the man was the epitome of rudeness in her eyes, made sure that no bodily contact could be made. Her hair swayed slightly as she tilted her head, smiling wider at both Tachibana and the man she'd come to know was called 'Umaro', a smile that said 'Oh, seems you're in trouble~' in a light hearted and sympathetic way. This new Shinigami was obviously higher in rank to the other two, for Tsubaki had first noticed the arriving presence of the raven-haired man when Umaro had effectively cut himself out of the conversation.

Tsubaki stepped away a bit, moving to stand next to the seated Umaro, her body facing the Tachibana and the higher rank, effectively allowing her to see more past the gates, at a different angle. She didn't yet look towards that direction, for something small Tachibana had said before being interrupted had lodged itself into her brain. "... My skill was so great they took me into the 11th right out a the academy." So the Shinigami's had an academy...? Which meant they taught new prospects the skills of being a Shinigami, of being a Death Reaper, and then afterwards a division takes you in...? This was very much news to Tsubaki, so first objective of her mission; CHECK. She had come, seen the gates, and received at least one new information.

"Ah, commanding-officer-san is strict, isn't he?" She commented to Umaro, her right hand coming worriedly to cup her right cheek. "How rude of me, to get you young Shinigami's into trouble." Tsubaki's voice oozed of sentimental worry, her face blank but eyebrows knotted up. No respectable woman would like to know that she was the cause of someone's trouble, would she? D:

The raven haired shinigami continued forward, walking past the gate entrance and off down the rode inside until he was out of sight, and in a sense, out of Tsubaki's hair. The shinigami who had been sitting down, who was referred to as Umaro, merely crossed his arms in front of his chest and closed his eyes. Tachibana on the other hand, gave a slight scowl as he watched the 'higher' up shinigami leave, neither of them appeared to notice Tsubaki collecting her information, nor her movements and observations of the goings past the gate. Even from the new position beside Umaro, Tsubaki would notice that there didn't appear to be any shinigami close by. The building she had seen appeared to be rather large, as it ran parallel to the wall for as far as she would be able to see, from this angle at least.

When Tsubaki finally broke the silence, Umaro opened the eye closest to her and glanced up, looking slightly weary of the female. Than again, there was a hint of color to his face, that seemed to suggest he were trying not to let her know that her being so close was bothering him. Closing his eye again Umaro attempted to relax a bit in his seat, although from the silence he had around the raven haired shinigami, it would have been obvious there was some tension between the three.
"Oh...umm..."

Umaro was soon cut off as he attempted to find the right words to say by Tachibana, who walked over to Tsubaki and made an attempt to pat her on her shoulder. He had apparently shrugged off the annoyance and tension brought about by the new shinigami, however also appeared as if he would soon be making his way to return to his post.
"Ahh well, been fun little lady, but I should be getting back. We should talk sum more, I usually end up over here round midnight, someone has to make sure Umaro watches the gate. HAHAHAH."

Giving a hardy laugh, Umaro finally opened his eyes again and looked over to Tachibana slightly annoyed, as usual by the man's little jabs here and there verbally.
"Oi oi, yer one to talk Tachibana. Get back to work, foo."
Tachibana looked around Tsubaki, and gave the younger blond haired shinigami a smirk. Before he finally turned and went to leave, looking back over to the female before moving to walk back inside the gate entrance.
"Oh, almost fergot. Feel free ta stop by, remember, round midnight."
With that the larger shinigami moved to walk off to the inside of the gate, out of Tsubaki's view and likely out of range soon enough...

And then there was only Umaro, who once again rested against the wall and moved one of his hands to rub the side of his face with his pointer finger, clearly he wasn't used to talking with females, and he appeared nervous.
"Oi...don't mind that other guy, just a snobby 21st seat..."
Even though he attempted to break the ice so to speak, it would have become apparent to Tsubaki that he had no idea whatsoever to say next.

There was only so little she could do, and troubling herself to arrive at the spot she currently was in at midnight was not one of them, quite frankly because it was a highly improbable time to be walking about, especially to meet someone who was a tad bit... Rough on the edges. Anything could easily take place at such a time, a little grabbing, groping [of which she simply detested], fighting - things she did not have the luxury to experience or go through. Not yet at least.

Glad to be rid off the nuisance that was the commanding officer, Tsubaki felt a slight sliver of annoyance at the fact that no activity whatsoever took place behind the gates, that it was completely empty, devoid of any information that she could devour other then the female Shinigami she had spotted at the far end of the passage. It didn't do her much well, for she sincerely doubted that the place was this empty usually, and figured it that it was only now, at this time. Maybe she'd have to take up Tachibana-san on his midnight invitation; all for business of course. She allowed the older man to pat her, for what did contact do in such a case? It was merely a good-will act, at least the woman was professional enough to perceive it as such. BUT, if it was that both Tachibana and the other Shinigami, Umaro, were on duty at midnight, then hell she'd go, first she'd clear up her schedule a bit and make room for such a meeting. Tsubaki was a busy woman, even if there wasn't much for a Soul to do in Rukongai.

'So a man that large is only the 21st seat, hmm...?' That meant Tachibana was 21 ranks weaker then that of the captain, who Tsubaki presumed to be the first seat, presumed being the key word. "A very energetic man," Her statement was followed by a chuckle. "But... 21st seat?" Her plan was simple, so simple it wasn't truly a plan: fake ignorance, have him explain, thus having to explain how many seats their were, etc. etc. And walah! She'd have even more information under her belt. Or her breasts. :3

What Are YOU Fighting For?

Umaro looked over to Tsubaki when she talked about Tachibana, his expression was somewhat confused for a moment, but he had apparently realized what had happened. Of course, he felt a bit silly, and it could be seen in the way he attempted to explain. Although he seemed to have trouble looking directly at Tsubaki, now more than ever, it appeared that his confidence was a product of being around Tachibana, and when alone, he would be far easier to fluster.
"Tachibana? Oh, no, that lout? Eheh...hes no 21st seat, just unseated like me."

The blond haired shinigami moved his hand down to his chin, pressing the side of his pointer finger against his lips a moment as if he were trying to figure out how to explain. It appeared as if Tsubaki's ploy to get more information about it had gone off without a hitch, as he soon tried to explain in more detail this time what he had meant, hoping that his words wouldn't fail him this time.
"Lets see...theres umm, its no wonder ya would get confused... Theres 20 'official' seats, or...ranks you could say. Although us unseated...er...unranked guys, kind of tend to make up three more. Kind of the best of the worst...as some seated members tend ta put it."

Umaro's attention flickered over to Tsubaki a moment, likely trying to see if she were able to understand him so far...he wasn't too sure he understood himself too well.
"...But, yeah. That Kai'ku, hes nothing special. Basically just...well, better than most unseated members in our Division ya could say. Says hes from 'noble' decent, bunch a rubish if ya ask me...or any of us unseated guys really....heh... OH, but...almost forgot. I guess there isn't really...a 1st or 2nd, per say. Well, not by title at least. That would be the Captain, and the Lt., or well, vice Captain some like to call em self."

Aaah, it seemed even Tsubaki could make mistakes and understand things wrong, she'd have to work on that. The fact that the commanding officer man she'd seen before wasn't even a seated officer amused the woman to no ends, especially more that Umaro, bless the poor sod, was explaining everything to her just as she had wanted him too. Seemed he was a predictable kid rather then the wary type she'd thought he'd be when she'd first arrived.

So interesting though, it seemed that every division in the Shinigami's held 20 [twenty] ranked seats, 'official' as Umaro had said, the first being a Captain and the second his lieutenant, or Vice Captain. That left 18 [eighteen] others that were deemed of importance, then the rest were considered 'unseated', save for the three that were thought to be the best of the unseated, as it seemed the commanding officer [or so it had seemed] was - 'Kai'ku, was it..?'

Such interesting names, the Shinigami's had.

Unfortunately, however, Tsubaki couldn't fathom any more questions to string out of it, merely smiling a bit more widely at Umaro, as to show her appreciation for the explanation. "Thank you, Umaro-san." A sudden thought made a line of thinking erupt in her mind, for it dawned on her that she had not introduced herself. A quick debate whether or not to do so was taken in her brain, one that didn't even last a second [for she was quick in thinking], but no fault could come out of giving her name - she was merely a soul here. Besides, there was no way to be able to guess a Quincy through just her name.

"Oh my, it seems I haven't introduced myself, even though Tachibana-san isn't here now, how rude of me. I am Fujiwara Tsubaki, just in case you wanted to have a name for that lady who had constantly annoyed you this fine evening." Maybe it was time for her to go home.
