He kills with one hand and heals with the other...

High atop the canyon, all seemed peaceful. None of the residents were any wiser about what was going on, when a large door suddenly appeared out of thin air. Then, a being stepped through that door, clad in dark armor, wearing a visor, and covered in technology. Lieutenant Abreotnes showed up from his laboratory in the Gotei 10, seeking out some individuals who were reported to have been in this area of the human world. Both were lieutenant level, so he needed to make certain he kept his guard up at all times. The first action Abre took as he stepped outside the doorway was to switch on the knob of his spiritual suppression belt. One of his favorite inventions, it negated the necessity to concentrate on keeping one's spiritual pressure low and undetectable. That left his mind free to concentrate on other tasks.

The second precaution Abre took was to immediately pull out his rifle. It was set to microwaves before he emerged from the gate, just in case he happened to emerge right into an enemy's grasp. Pending the area being secure, the lieutenant then switched on his visor. Most humans in some form of military would compare them to night vision goggles. The comparison wasn't poor, though it was inaccurate. The visor actually highlighted beings made of spiritual energies, and was complete with a zoom function, and x-ray vision. The hub highlighted ghosts as blue, shinigami as white, and hollows as red. As the senkaimon vanished behind him, he was ready. Certain the area was secure, he crouched down and began scanning the horizon lines, keeping an eye out on any white blips that might pop up...

The island was like many, however had a 'feel' all its own...something strange, and clearly different was about the air of this location, no, perhaps about the whole island itself. Standing atop one of the sides of the Canyon, Abre would likely see a very...well, easily described, beautiful landscape before, and around him. The entire island had quite an array of different sections, none of which seemed to be tainted by human hands. Down in the center of the massive canyon Abre would likely notice smoke rising from over near the opposing canyon edge, if he were to look over there using his device he would likely see something very, very strange... There were figures registering, although the device he wore couldn't seem to define what they were. In its failed attempts at guessing, it only managed to give a blurred reading for each of the many signatures, something of swirling color, rather than any singular one.

Down below Abre however, was a very dense forest with trees that towered up high from the ground that seemed to be blocked from view by their tops and leaves. Honestly it looked to be more of a jungle down there as opposed to a forest, as it spread out among most of the middle of the canyon, some sections even stretching all the way to the other end. Abre's device would likely nearly go haywire because of the forest below, as a large number of red blips began to click into view...quite literally, the number of them would likely be impossible to sort out as they were all constantly moving to and fro, with no particular order or destination. In fact...it almost appeared as if they were merely...scouring the forest like an animal would, as if it were natural.

Off to the northern section Abre would notice a blue blip which seemed to be fleeing from a group of red blips, small red blips, however considering that blue meant ghost... Needless to say, if left to itself for much longer the red blips would soon get a hold, and likely devour the fleeing blue blip. Toward the south however were two white blips, they moved rather quickly through the forest below, apparently rushing from one red blip to the next...each time the red blip would soon shudder out of view, were they cleansing the hollows? Whatever they were doing, the two appeared to stop every now and again, apparently clashing with each other. Rarely a tree would get knocked over, and ruffle the other trees, causing more red blips to scurry away from the two white.

However, before Abre could decide which of the strange events to further investigate...something would plop onto his helmet. It wasn't very big...didn't appear to weigh much either, however it gave a small hiss and didn't appear to want to get off of his head.

Abreotnes didn't pause even for a moment, reaching up instinctively to crush whatever had landed on his head. Obviously, it had to have been a pest-class hollow, as any natural animals wouldn't be able to sense his presence. Once that was done, he would begin moving in closer to the two white-blips that seemed to be slaying the red ones, and occasionally skirmishing with one another. Naturally, he wouldn't move in too close. Both an assassin and a scientist must remove themselves from a situation, observing from the shadows, completely undetected...

Although Abre reached up toward the creature, perhaps it had been planning it before landing on him, perhaps it too instinctively was fleeing from the grasp of his hand, whatever the reason the slippery little bugger had crawled its way to the back of Abre's helmet and seemed to be proceeding for his back. Whatever it was, it seemed to be fairly quick on its feet...not to mention that it was rather small, probably about the side of someone's hand. It was unclear what exactly this thing thought it was doing....but whatever it was doing, it seemed to be able to stick to Abre's suit like a gecko. The creature gave another hiss as it tried to dodge Abre's weak willed advance with his hand, this one more aggressive, although honestly...it wasn't likely the little thing could seriously hurt the Shinigami.

Abre was beginning to lose his patience. It would be detrimental to go out into battle with this leech-like being stuck to his suit, and Abre could not take that risk. The lieutenant threw his hand onto his knife zanpakutou and uttered his release, extending the weapon into a telescopic baton. Immediately as he did so, he rearranged his particles to force the dimunuto attached to simply fall off of himself, so that he could crush the thing with his weapon afterward.

The Dimunuto continued to hiss, its lizard-like tongue slithering something like a snake's would. It almost seemed as if the small creature was unjustly secure in itself about trying to eat Abre, similar to how a small dog may bark loudly at a bigger animal when it comes across its home. Just as planned, the small beast dropped from Abre's suit when he released his weapon, apparently unable to stick to his body....however. One might think that his spiritual pressure alone would kill the thing but...IT SEEMED TO LIKE IT EVEN MORE! The small lizard scurried around Abre's feet, rather quickly considering how weak it were, however its small stature added to its evasive madness. It began to hiss far more often, and was apparently getting some sort of adrenalin high from being around so much spiritual energy at once. Considering it was a hollow, the thing likely wanted to devour Abre more now than ever before.

Abreotnes squinted as the lizard ran about, doing its business. He had had it with this thing. No wonder they called this class of hollow the "pest" class. He pointed his rifle at the dimunuto and pulled the trigger, sending out a concentrated beam of microwave energy to burn the little shit to a crisp. Damn thing.

The little bugger did a number trying to escape from the beam of death, and it had almost gotten away too, if not for Abre's determined trigger finger. The ground had been scorched and cracked by the blazing energy, but in the end the Dimunuto had made one zig zag too many, and got itself caught up in the crossfire. The little lizard was essentially burned to a crisp, just as Abre had wanted, its black body becoming tar like and melting into the rocky ground while its mask eventually shifted away into nothingness, leaving only a black scorched mark on the ground where it had once been. Actually...it left a bit of a trail...and if Abre were to look he would likely notice, that the ground were quickly cracking away and breaking. Yes, it seemed although the lizard had been killed, its annoyance had taken itself a step further, as Abre's attacks had broken the stability of the rocky platform he had been standing upon. The rocks soon chipped and broke away, likely sending Abre along with a large number of rock tumbling downward into the forest below, in a rather destructive landslide.

Abre grew a little more irritated, what with the ground crumbling beneath him, but decided against spending any more time in this area. The lieutenant appeared beyond the cracking ground with a shunpo. That little lizard had caused him to waste for too much time, and Isaiko could very well be finishing up in her interrogations. Rather than going away mad, he decided to simply go away, and reopened his gateway back into his lab...

Having become fed up with the situation, Abre had decided to put his attention toward something of more importance, at least for now... With a majority of the surroundings remaining the same, save for the rock slide crushing its way down the side of the canyon, and breaking trees along with disturbing whatever else may be down in the jungle. Abre opened his gate, and made for home.
