Isaiko was sitting peacefully in the researching main room, drinking some nice warm green tea and and playing a game she had personally programed on the gigantic computer screen before her. She really shouldn't, otherwise the Captain might get angry, but that was fine. She took an extra sip of her tea when she noticed a Hell Butterfly to her side. "Hmm? What's this?" she asked nobody in particular; it was early in the morning and nobody was in the room with her. She studied the butterfly as it relayed the message for her. "The hell? ... Okay then..." She stood up and placed her cup down on a table. It was half empty now anyway. She went back to the seat she was seated in and grabbed her Zanpakutou and walked off with it in hand. She started running, using her Shunpo the entire time and was practically already at her destination only mere seconds after getting her message. She smiled and thought highly of herself; she loved being early. She guessed it made her look good. But then she looked around and cocked her head to the side, "Whaaat?" She looked around to find herself in an empty place; with almost quite literally nothing but the ground beneath her. She was to meet her Lieutenant there. Edited by Oto, Oct 19 2009, 06:08 AM.

A good half an hour passed by, and the only thing Isaiko could see was the large R&D building nearby, a good hundred yards away, and the moving sun. Why on earth had the lieutenant asked to meet there? And what was so important that everything else had to be set aside? "Good day, Isaiko," Abreotnes commented, suddenly appearing behind her. He did that. A lot. "I'm glad to see you received my message and arrived on time. There is important work to be done that I would like your assistance with." |

She turned around to see Abreotnes behind her; and had she not been expecting him to show up behind her she would have freaked. Nevertheless, she stood up, leaving her Zanpakuto on the ground and dusted off her rear. She then bent down and picked up her sword and approached one of the only two men who were her superior within the division. She bowed slightly. "Good morning, Lieutenant Abreotnes." she said --- she always wondered what his surname was, "Anything that you need me for I'd be glad to help with" She was following orders after all; but she definitely was curious as to what she'd have to do. Especially with having meeting him here of all places. Edited by Oto, Oct 20 2009, 04:50 AM.

Abreotnes listened to her words, but did not seem concerned by her in the slightest. Instead, he was looking all around, like a man about to tell a racist joke. Whatever he was about to show her, he had gone to great lengths to keep secret, and he had intended to keep it that way. "What you are about to see is classified top secret. There are only three individuals in all of Soul Society who know about it, including myself and the Captain-Commander. Not even our captain is aware. You are to only speak of this in my presence, in the location I am about to show you. Is that understood?" |

She cocked her head to the side again. "Secret? I... I'm honoured you'd trust me enough to even tell me of the existence something like this." she said, "I understand and will follow any and all Orders you have to give me, sir!" She saluted him and, with a single swipe of her hand, moved some of her hair so that it covered her eye. Sure the data her eye would record would probably just be erased by the end of the day; but anything was possible and if she could hold anything back from any who would manage to steal the camera it would be the 'location' of which she was about to be shown. |

"Excellent," Abre stated, still stoic and unmoving in his demeanor. "Then I order you to take my hand." He held out his trustee left hand, and as soon as she had grabbed hold of it, they would both feel an odd sensation, one that the lieutenant had been long since used to. To call it a "sinking feeling" would only be too literal, seeing as how they both began to sink directly through solid ground. Isaiko would recognize it as Abreotnes's zanpakutou ability, phasing, but she had never experienced it with him before. That was an honor reserved for his personal squad on his personal missions, only when he deemed the situation worthy of the tactic. Inch by inch, then foot by foot the duo sank into the earth. They continued to fall for seconds, until they had hit a pocket of air. Indeed, this particular pocket of air happened to be fifty feet underground and lined with steel on all sides. It was Lieutenant Abreotnes's secret, personal lab. Rather than continuing to fall, their feet touched softly on the ground, and Abre broke the connection between them. "Welcome, third seat Isaiko, to my humble research lair." |

Isaiko let out a shrill 'Eep!' as they sank at first; being confounded as to what happened. But when she finally recognized it as Doppler's ability; she calmed down, rather slowly actually. Once they reached the Lab Floor, she was amazed. She quickly began to look around the room without moving her feet; so this is where his lab was. She had known --- rather, strongly believed --- that he kept a separate one --- in fact she also believes the captain keeps one as well --- but to keep it underneath everyone's noses, literally, was just in-genius. In the back of her head she started to imagine ways she might sneak in here; but they were subtle thoughts that were quickly defeated by the reminder of why she was brought here. "I'm honoured, Lieutenant Abreotnes," she said her superior, turning to face him and look up at him, "but I sense you didn't want to show me just your lab?" She asked in an almost invasive manner, but in all honesty she was just too curious now. |

"Your inquisition is quite right, Isaiko. You are here on special business. Last night, Soul Society was infiltrated by a group of five quincy assassins. Their target was the captain-commander, and I had just happened to find myself in the battle. Before they were taken out, one of these quincy attacked and killed an unranked shinigami in front of his lover. Right now, the only individuals that know about this incident are myself, the commander, the unranked shinigami from third division, and now you." Abreotnes wandered over to his main computer terminal, where he had the report lying on the desk. Picking it up, he handed it to Isaiko. "This report contains all the information you need to begin your task." |

"Quincy?" she asked, "here in the Soul Society? The Seireitei even?" She had never seen a Quincy with her own eyes before, mostly being cooped up within the Seireitei's walls, but she had heard all about them. It was part of her job, but her curious pursuit for knowledge really drove her to find out everything that the Shinigami had known about Quincy. She took the report from Abreotnes' hand and looked at it. "So do I read this or do I deliver it?" she asked, before doing anything. |

Abreotnes raised an eyebrow. This woman was fairly intelligent, but at times she could be so stupid. The lieutenant decided to simply ignore her, and continue as the situation called. A moment later, he was pulling another set of syringes from a nearby desk, and tested them all. Good thing he had set these little puppies up the night before. "Your assignment is simple. Take these four needles and inject the potent truth serum into their systems. Then, you will ask them a series of questions based on what you learn from that report. I will be busy with my own preparations, which is why I request you follow through. Is that all clear?" Abre pointed to the isolation cell doors and gestured to the needles of serum as he spoke, to make sure no detail went unnoticed. |

Isaiko shrugged her shoulders and opened the report, scanning through it as quickly as she read most things; which was rather fast, as Abreotnes gave her her assignment. She closed the report and glanced over to the four needles he pointed out to her. She looked back up to him. "I understand, sir." she said, nodding her head, "Where will you be going, Lieutenant Abreotnes?" |

"I will not be leaving the lab. I am going to be working on various things in the main room you are standing in. Things that require my utmost attention and diligence," Abre said, rather quickly. "You have your orders, now let's execute them." The lieutenant wandered off to his computer terminal, not bothering to even glance up at his third seat. |

She nodded, not that he saw, and saluted him, not that he saw, "Yes sir!" He seemed cranky, but that was fine. With a Quincy Attack, as well as the report in her hand, the likelyhood of him having been up the entire night doing nothing but working was high; she wasn't surprised or put off by that. It was understandable that he might be easily annoyed at the moment. She took the four needles in hand and held them in between her fingers like one would hold throwing knives. She turned to the isolation cells and flipped open, almost magically with one hand, the report and scanned it. "Well, lets start with... this guy; Anton..." she said, looking over his 'profile' again. She sighed, and hoped deeply that the guy wouldn't give her too much trouble. She flipped the hair out of her eye and blunk a few times, seemingly checking to see if the Camera was functioning optimally; though she couldn't really tell for sure unless she was plugged in. She snapped the report folder closed and entered the isolation cell, calmly looking over the Quincy. |

Abreotnes would have smiled, if he were the kind of man to smile. No, instead, he merely tapped out some strokes of the keyboard on his terminal. Now here came the brilliant part. Then lieutenant stood up and strolled away quietly from the terminal. Glancing back, he saw.... Himself. Still typing away. Holograms were always entertaining, weren't they? Then, Abre slipped through the wall, into another sealed room with no entrance or exit. What did this room contain? The lieutenant always cracked the smallest of grins whenever he entered this special room. A senkaimon gate, courtesy from his time in the special forces, stood against the far wall. Right next to it, hanging in a zero-atmosphere chamber, was his battle armor. Abreotnes shed his generic shinigami outfit. It never suited the man anyway. In the next minute or so, he was suited up and ready to go to the human world. In one hand, his zanpakutou, now sealed. he strapped Doppler to his thigh. In his other hand, the newest in his line of light refraction rifles. He holstered it on his back. A spirit cellphone sat in a little pocket on his chest, and his specially designed goggles were strapped over his face, along with the armor's hood. Without further adieu, Lieutenant Abreotnes stepped through the gateway, into the human world... |

Having gone to the Quincy Abre had 'speculated' to be named Anton, the girl wouldn't see anything particularly odd or spectacular... As Abre had left him, the Spaniard was bound and thus unable to do much but await whatever fate was to befall him. He was silent, and still, quite the difference from the day before, than again it was likely he wasn't awake yet...likely. He seemed to be breathing at least, so he was alive, it appeared the girl would have to do something before she could get any answers out of him, or a response at all. |
