Reign: 1613-1631

Successor:

  • Emperor Joseph II

Early Life:Charles was born when his mother Anne was only twenty years old and his father Joseph was several years older. At the time of Queen Anne and King Joseph ( consort) the Calidonian culture was very stuck up and posh, the men wore their hair long and curly and often had a strong famine attitude, this resulted in Charles dressing up in the smartest clothes and wearing the long haired and curly wigs at a very young age. His health was very good and he became very athletic at the age of five. His sports were tennis and swimming, other than sports Charles was interested in many other things including art. He was a great painter and sketch artist but eventually gave up his dream of becoming a professional artist when his country faced war. His childhood over all was very good and he became extremely popular in school.

His time on the throne: Charles was 31 years old when Queen Anne died and he was crowned King of Calidonia. The country continued as normal except now they had a king instead of a queen. The Charles II's age is only remembered because of the great event that happened in 1616. In Charles reign the fancy culture stayed in place and more and more cities were being built. Charles was very proud of being Calidonian because of the fact he went to war to save his country and its ally, so he tried to ensure the country had a great economy by opening up the first Calidonian bank "The Imperial Bank of Calidonia" and opening up many trade centre's about the coast. He made deals with Ilande and the small nations North of Deadeye, as these countries contained amazing resources such as tropical fruit and sandstone.

Deadeye :In 1616 the Ilande's new monarch was assassinated , this monarch had also inherited the throne of Deadeye because of his mother. When he died, their was no member left of the Ilande royal family except the far out cousin, Charles II of Calidonia. The parliament had no choice but to write to Charles to ask if he would take the position of king as Deadeye, additionally he was also supposed to become king of Ilande but the determined chief in charge of the country at the time refused to even allow a different royal family into Ilande. He was very un clear of the family line that made Charles II the rightful heir to the throne. So, Charles received the latter and proudly accepted the throne of Deadeye. This made him king of two powerful nations and the biggest leader on the continent.

The King started on the reconstruction of Underground City, which he was determined to change its name along with the country of Deadeye's name. As the palaces and castles, cathedrals and amazing buildings were built in Underground the culture started changing more and more like the Calidonian Formally posh way of life.

The last few years: Charles II had lived to an old age and had only ruled a small part of that time due to how long his mother was queen for. In his time however he had manages to make one of the most important events in History , the day that Calidonia and Deadeye became one. Over all the Charles II age was not anything to talk about or think about, except the fact he made the first Calidonian bank. The sad thing was, Charles II produced no heir to the throne, therefore the parliament had to go up King Charles II's family tree and arrive at his mother, Anne. She had several children and one of them was named Princess Anne, who was the second oldest but had now died, however she had a child called Joseph, who later became Joseph II.
