![]() Name: Charles Henry Zooamay Birthday and Birth date: 11th of March 1532 Death Date: 31st of January 1554 Parents: Alexander I (father), Catherine of Ilande (mother) Issue: Anne I Coronation :22nd of October 1549 Reign: 1549-1554 Predecessor: Emperor Alexander I Successor:
Early Life : Charles Henry Zooamay was born in the Crown House of Zarownia , Deadeye to Emperor Alexander I and Queen consort Anne. Alexander was young when he had Charles so the young prince grew up around his father and mother, unlike his father did. Charles was born with a very deadly skin disease and made his what would have been handsome face, ugly. This made the young prince very self conscious and he refused to go to the private school "Talidie's" in Underground City, which had the best education reputation in the continent. His father tried his best to get Charles into the school but he kept refusing, finally Charles and his father decided on a private tutor from the school was to come to the castle and give the prince an education. By the age of eight Prince Charles was fluent in four languages , Goldecian, Modish, Ilandish and Anvardian. He also was great at maths, literacy and History. Charles lived along with his brother and sister, James and Elizabeth in Hudson Castle that sat on the doorstep of the Hudson River in Deadeye. He was said to be a very proud prince of a great southern empire and wore the national suites and badges on his uniform. As the years went by and Alexander I was growing older and becoming more and more interested in his country, the Northern Empire was created. Charles was becoming very interested in this empire and was determined to have it for his own. The big surprise of Alexander: As Alexander I discovered the secrets and land of Calidonia, the citizens of Deadeye felt like he had left them out and abandoned their sandy country. Charles and his siblings knew it was time to act against their father, and reassure the existence of the support from the Deadeyeians. Since the headquarters of the empire were now in Calidonia they had a perfect chance to get violent protesters in the streets of Deadeye and to fight against the small Deadeyeian army that still remained in Deadeye. They advertised their ideas and promises to the Deadeye people, and when the day came for the protest the only people on Alexanders side were the rulers of the royal court in Underground and a few of the emperors troops. At the end of the protest the ones who remained loyal to Alexander were dead and the ones who were loyal to the younger royal family remained alive, the young Prince of Deadeye knew this was the time to overthrown his father. Back in Rosalia City, Calidonia, his father Emperor Alexander I was surprised to hear of what had happened in his home country, after a secret anonymous spy had met with him in the Glorious Court. Immediately the emperor ordered an army of 14,000 to move South of the border into Ilande and protect to protect Calidonia. The army were made up of mostly, Ilande's, Deadeyeian's and some tribal members who had agreed to join the army of Emperor Alexander I for an exchange of money and food. When the army reached The North of Ilande, they discovered that a massive army was waiting for them. The Deadeyeian soldiers that were on the emperors army quickly walked over to the other side and had changed loyalty. This was a huge problem for the emperors army and they finally decided to just let the army in to Calidonia. The army marched all the way to Rosalia city and told the citizens that they would not be harmed as long as the emperor gives in and surrenders. Eventually some of the citizens broke in the palace and gave the Emperor to his son, Charles. The first independent King of Calidonia :After Emperor Alexander I was over throned by his favourite son, Charles, the emperor's job was immediately handed to him. Charles didn't think much of the position and was only the emperor for three hours before resigning and officially granting each of the countries in the Deadeye Empire independence. His sister Elizabeth became Elizabeth VI of Ilande, his brother James became King James II of Deadeye and the Southern Islands and he( Charles I) became the first independent king of Calidonia. Straight after the empire was split up, Charles took all the empires wealth with him to Calidonia and continued building the city of Rosalia. New palaces, castles, cathedrals, Courts, places of worship, parks, stone buildings and many schools were built under the rule of King Charles I. On the 31st of January, 1554, King Charles and his wife entered the new Crystal Palace which was just started being built when he became king, It took slave labour to finish the palace in such a time scale. Crowds of citizens gathered outside the palace, waiting for their king and queen to come out and welcome them to the new part of the city from the balcony. When the two royal members walked on the balcony from the inside of their home, with five guards, the support of the balcony collapsed due to the lack of time spent on the building. The king and queen were rushed to a medical ward in the palace and they both died during the night. Edited by Library, Apr 29 2009, 05:55 PM.
