Empire Game is an expansive universe, an infinite canvas waiting to accept your ideas for its development. There is no set way to go about enjoying Empire Game, or even any rules of etiquette. We are completely freeform here. But, in order for everything to run smoothly, there are some guidelines we’d like everyone to follow. 1. It’s just a game! Have fun, enjoy yourself and don’t prevent others from doing the same. This is the golden rule around here and make sure you take it to heart. We’re just here to have a good time, if you aren’t leave. 2. Science applies! Just like in real life, pixies don’t make your computer work. Anything you want to do that hasn’t been done yet should make sense within the scope of science, at least a little bit. For clarification on how much sense you have to make, see number 3. 3. Fudge what you can! We realize that sometimes, this applies. Spoiler: click to toggle So when the overwhelming power of plot, or perhaps just really freaking epicness is called for, we can bend the regs. 4. Use your head! We haven’t begun to make an extensive list of rules, and please don’t make us. You’ve all got brains, and the cognitive capacity to use a computer is good enough for me that you should have some common sense. Please use it. 5. Staff exists for a reason! We aren’t idiots, and we aren’t out to get you. Just don’t do anything foolish and you’ll hardly know we exist. If you try to challenge our judgment in an inappropriate manner (see Rule 4), you will be harshly reprimanded. So, that’s it. Everything you need to know about how to act around here. Just follow those rules and we’ll be just fine. |
