Specialization

Each of the Skills within Tamriel are sorted into 1 of 3 groups. These Groups are simple enough to understand, and are as follows.

Combat: Armourer, Athletics, Blade, Block, Blunt, Hand-to-Hand and Heavy Armour.
Mage: Alchemy, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism and Restoration.
Stealth: Acrobatics, Light Armour, Marksman, Mercantile, Security, Sneak and Speechcraft.

During your Character Creation you are asked to chose one of these groups as your specialization. This means if you pick Combat, your Character is mostly used for Combat based situations with swords, axes and other weapons of the sort. Mage is obviously more dependent on Magicka and Stealth is the sneaky thief Character. Skills in a Specialization get a small point boost when you start, and if you pick the skill.

It should be noted that you do not have to pick ALL the skills in a Specialization, in fact this is almost a bad thing. But it is wise to pick a few of the skills to go with your Speciality.

Skills

There are 21 skills for you to pick from in this world. During Character Creation, you pick 7 of these skills as your major skills and these skills start at 25. This does not mean you cannot use skills you did not pick, but these skills do start at the lower 5 points instead.
Depending on your Speciality and Race, your skills will start differently from some others, some may start at 30, or even 35.

Skills are as followed. I shall not list any description on them just yet, but I shall give a detailed description in the future.

Conjuration
Destruction
Illusion
Mysticism
Restoration
Acrobatics
Light Armour
Marksman
Mercantile
Security
Sneak
Speechcraft


You must pick 7 of these as majors when you create your Character.

Attributes

When you create your Character, you will be asked to pick from one of seven attributes to be your major attributes. All attributes are governed by 3 skills each, and the skill connected to each attribute rises faster if you select it. Each Attribute, and what governs them are listed below.

Strength:Blade, Blunt and Hand-to-Hand
Intelligence: Alchemy, Conjuration and Mysticism
Willpower: Alteration, Destruction and Restoration
Agility: Security, Marksman, Sneak
Speed: Acrobatics, Athletics and Light Armour
Endurance: Armourer, Block and Heavy Armour
Personality: Illusion, Mercantile and Speechcraft
Luck: Governs no Skills.

So those are your attributes. You pick 2 during your Character Creation.

Choose wisely, because you cannot re-do these selections once your Character is ready.
