Ok... few questions here... first, why are all the threads locked?? I wanted to comment on a few things... like the one that asks if the system of clicking on eggs works... yes!! lol!! I have belonged a few weeks now and I click on eggs on different sites almost every day!! I average probably 50-100 each time, just cuz I DID lose a few eggs and my grandson & I were devastated!! We didnt' understand how it all worked yet but it still was not a good time... So... I did get a mentor, who is wonderful. The process was within hours, which surprized me since it looked like the list was months long! so... if you're new... don't be intimidated as I was! Now... my question for today is: How do you know when your views are getting dangerous & you should fog your baby?? I put my scroll in here, as well as entered my in danger egg in another place. Suddenly, today, my dragon egg got 3000 hits!! it HAD something like 200 this morning! It then hatched (JOY!!) but now its gotten 5000 hits!! In one day... to me, that suggests I need to fog it!! So far, as I'm checking it every hour, there is no notice of health deteriating... I am armed & ready to fog if I should... The reason I hesitate, is because on another thread in here, the person said there is a dragon that NEEDS some 9000 hits to mature... OMGosh... now I am all confused all over again!! I don't know what to do!! So... How soon (days) into the dragon hatchlings new 'hatched' life before they CAN mature?? oh!! And is there any way that anyone is aware of, of telling where all the hits are coming from? Which ER or hatchery you've placed them in? Is there any tracking of which ones you even have them in? What about when you have your scroll with permission for others to help... is there any way to know who is helping? or how many? Or where they place your eggies?? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!!

First things first. LOL If it says your egg has soft shell or your hatchling seems sick and hasn't been eating much, it needs to be fogged for maybe a day. Actually, with the views you mention, I'd for it for a bit just to be safe. Aside from that, yours are getting more views than they really need. No dragon needs 9000 views. The only time i have seen that is in the case of a sunrise/sunset dragon. (It's a bit confusing, but if it is supposed to be a sunrise, it will only hatch/mature in the hours dedicated to that. ditto for sunset. I have seen those get well more than needed and not hatch/mature til the appropriate time frame.) Hatching or maturing is a combination of time, views, unique views, and clicks. The time is between 3 and 4 days for both hatching and maturing, and it is pre-set for each dragon. If your egg hatched at 3 days 6 hours, it will probably mature when it gets to 3 days, 6 hours again. When you are clicking eggs, take a note of many views etc they have. Note how many yours have when they start cracking, or when they mature. It will all start making sense in a while. I think 2 hatcheries is sufficient for most dragons. (I like 2 just in case one goes down for a while. Then you don't have to panic.) Also, if there are 2, you have a better handle on how much you are getting where. Try putting them only here for the first day, then add another...see how your statistics change. As far as having your scroll marked as accepting help.... that should never be an issue unless you put a dragon in an ICU. Then people can see that and give some help. But no one has the right to put your eggs anywhere otherwise. Any more questons, feel free to ask. |

Thank you Aisinarie!Oh man!! Now I get it... the whole pre set thing!! Makes sense... dang... If I'm reading you right, then my lil dragonette won't mature for several days!! She still has something like 6 days 2 hours!! She didn't hatch till the last day!! Oh ugh!! ok, so if I DO fog her, will that keep her from hatching? we are so impatient here!! lol She has 6000 views now... What is the record for views? Does anyone know?? I can not wrap my brain around this views/clicks thing... My mentor explained it in detail But for some reason I still don't get it... if I just go IN to the ICU ward, that does NOT register as a view, right? Until I click on something first? THen, once I click on it... it will give a view... so If I give it a second click, is THAT how it gets a unique view? Then how does one get a click?? dang this drives me nuts!! lol My biggest concern there is I dont' want to inadvertantly give the clicks to a dragon and make them sick when I'm trying to help them!! Sometimes when I click on an egg or hatchling, it will open thier window other times it just registers that I clicked... not sure why sometimes it does & sometimes it doesn't open thier little window... its easier to give a lot of views when it does not open thier window in a separate or change the whole screen... Repeating one of my questions: LOL oh!! And is there any way that anyone is aware of, of telling where all the hits are coming from? Which ER or hatchery you've placed them in? Is there any tracking of which ones you even have them in? What about when you have your scroll with permission for others to help... is there any way to know who is helping? or how many? Or where they place your eggies??so, no clue on why most of the threads are locked already in here?? Thank you so much for your help!!

Last question first...threads are locked when they have to do with something that is resolved or no l;onger of import. The record for clicks and views would go to TJ, the owner and developer of the game. That happens when new eggs come out. Everyone goes to the forum and looks at his new eggs and hatchlings. He is able to keep them alive, or resuscitate as needed. VIEWS: If you go to a page in the hatchery that has all new eggs, you give every single egg there one view and one unique view, in that one glance. If you close it and open it again, you give each egg another view. But unique views are one per person per egg. CLICKS: Same as unique views. Only the first one counts. You can click on a dragon 100 times if you wish to waste your time. Still only counts as one. As far as hatching and maturing go, the more clicks and unique views you have, the fewer views are needed. If a dragon has only 300 unique views, it will need somewhere around 2500+ views to mature. And it might not mature by the three day mark. but if it had 600 or more unique views, then it might take 1500 or less views to mature. And the more clicks, the less views and unique views you need. These numbers are not exact. they are only to give you an idea. As far as your dragon that was in the ICU and didn't hatch til the last day....no, it will not necessarily take til the last day to mature. It went past its time when it could have hatched, so you don't know what that is. It can and should still grow up somewhere between 3 and 4 days if it has enough views. An egg cannot hatch or a dragon mature while it is fogged. Most people, if they do have to fog, leave it hidden for about a day. The clock will still be running, but it won't get views etc. When the time and views are back in order, the sickness will pass. If you have it in a place where it is still getting too many views, it can get sick again, though. You just have to keep an eye on it. There is no way to know how many clicks and views come from one place unless that is the only place you have your dragons listed. And there is no way to know if someone is putting your eggs somewhere without your knowledge. (Unless you know how many views they normally get in your usual places and it suddenly takes a big unexpected jump.) As far as knowing where your dragons are posted...they should only be where you put them. IF you have a dragon in ICU, AND are accepting help, then it is acceptable for someone to post them elsewhere. But if it's an ICU thing, then the dragon won't get sick, it will just hatch or grow up. Where exactly are you posting your dragons? i might be able to give you some ideas. |

If you're accepting help, anyone can put your eggs anywhere at any time. It can happen, but it's not normal unless like aini said, you have it in the ICU. Tho, I have went through the hatchery and seen some eggs that needed to be in the ICU, weren't, so I added them because they were accepting help. I've also seen some that needed the ICU but weren't accepted help so I didn't add them, so IMO it's best to accept help for those of us that check on eggs/hatchies now and then and might just help you save your dragon. ![]() Oh, and reason for locking posts is because the problem has been solved and people tend to spam those threads or bring back a thread from 3 months ago that isn't relevant anymore. If you are having a similar problem as what someone else is, and the thread is locked and what was done didn't help you then just repost, makes it easier for us to know who needs help. EDIT! I did just look at the hatchery, and I seen that you said your eggs aren't showing up even tho you added them. It's because you didn't add them correctly. If you read on the hatchery it says to use the 4 digit code. You have used the bbcode from their code page. You need to go to the eggs page and just take the last for numbers or letters and enter that into the hatchery. For example... here is a frozen hatchy of mine that I haven't named yet. http://dragcave.net/view/RG83 the code you would enter into the hatchery to add that one (tho you wouldn't really cuz it's frozen BUT for the sake of helping you to understand) you would put RG83 and that's it. Now, if it was named it would be different. Here again is a frozen hatchy that I HAVE named http://dragcave.net/view/n/Picosaur now, to enter it into the hatchery you would put n/Picosaur if you have a space in the name it would be something like Dragon%20Name the %20 replaces the space. I hope that's helpful.
