It was warm. Keri was in a good mood because of this. Even though she was still bundled up in her winter gear, it was warm. The weather outside was a high 40 with bright sun and clear skies. She wouldn't get another chance like this until Spring decided to roll around.

It wasn't as hard as she expect to get into the building. The guard was too busy watching a game in the front that he just waved her off. Pretty crappy from a building this important. There were, however, security cameras planted everywhere in the building. Keri simply lowered her head and pulled up her scarf pretending she was cold as she headed towards the elevators.

The place was crawling with military personnel but by simply altering her aura, she was able to stray away from most people she passed. I'm invisible, I'm don't exist, you can't see me was the message her aura sent out. Sure enough no one even glanced at her as she entered the elevator and climbed to the rooftop.

There were various machines and scopes set up all over the perimeter. They were far back enough so no one in the buildings around could see them, but the military could spy all they wanted. There were more people here than normal doing surveillance due to the weather but Keri wanted them to be all gone.

She approached each of them and whispered a little coax in their ear. One by one, they left the rooftop with thoughts of taking a break, getting lunch or coffee, or simply patrolling the hallways.

Keri took an uneasy sigh, slumping down against a fence, her shield dissipating into nothing. There had to be an easier way to secure an area...and easy, subtle way...She closed her eyes, tilting her head upwards toward the sun. She was tired and dizzy now. If someone were to approach the rooftop now she would be found out.

She reminded herself that she still had work to do...

Surveillance Rooms. The movies have always portrayed them as a room filled with high-tech monitors and computers. Truth is, They are usually just a hole in the wall with a few closed circuit T.V.s and shitty chairs. Usually their are two guards monitoring the screens, looking for suspicious activity. The one thing the movies get right, however, is that you will more often than not find the guards asleep.

Wraith traveled to New York to run an errand for Mr. Jacob. This building is where an associate of Jacob was holding onto a flash drive containing highly sensitive data. Data that could revolutionize espionage for centuries.

As Thomas entered the building, He took a mental note of the lack of Discipline and awareness that security was showing. Odd, considering that a building housing the Information that could change Black-ops was as secure as a high-school locker. Wraith was going to have to talk to somebody about this.

Wraith, after searching for 30 minutes, found the head of security. He was a man of small stature, and as hairy as a gorilla. This man went by the name Hank. This short man saluted Wraith as he walked into his office. Wraith saluted back and went straight to business.

"Listen Mr...hank, is it? Well listen hank, I'm going to get right to the point. I'm here on an errand and i can't help but notice that the security here seems a bit...loose. That concerns me you see, because the errand I'm on has our national security at stake. So if you could kindly give me a tour of the security systems here and put me at ease, I will think about not informing your superior officers about this little indiscretion. How does that sound?"

Hank seemed to like this idea a lot more than the idea of losing his job, so he quickly agreed and showed Wraith to the Surveillance room. Tom laid his eyes on two guards napping. He shot Hank a look and began to wake up the two sleeping beauties.

"Rise and Fucking shine Grunts. I hope you enjoyed your nap, because looks like Y'all both are on graveyard shift toni-..." Something on the cameras caught his eye. On the monitor labeled Rooftop, it displayed a young woman whispering into the ears of the soldiers on top, and then mysteriously enough, these same guards just abandon their post.

Wraith patted himself down, felt the grip of his M9, and clicked the hammer back. "Mr. Hank, I'm going to check on this little security problem, and when i get back, You and I are going to have a long chat about your Performance at your position." Wraith then headed towards the nearest stairwell and made his way to the top. When he got there, the door was ajar. Probably left open from one of the guards. He slowly opened the door and saw the intruder slumped next to the fence. From what it looked like, this girl didn't look like any different than someone you would see on the street. That explained how she probably got in so easy. Wraith crept through the doorway and took a good shooting stance. He put her in between the two white dots on his sight.

" I really hope you have a damn good explanation on how you got up here girlie..."

Her hearing went out for a few crucial moments, she missed the footsteps, the door opening, even the slight rattle of his gun.

Keri lifted her eyes to his green ones with a hint of a smile on her lips. Busted...She didn't think it would be so quickly either. Her eyes rested on his lips that was obviously asking her something...something she couldn't hear. Then moved slowly to the gun that was pointed to her. Even if she was afraid, she didn't have enough energy to be. They finally darted behind his head and spotted two security cameras. So it was that...

Her eyes rolled back as another wave of dizziness passed through her. She was already on the floor, there wasn't any farther down she could fall...Switching to a sitting position, leaning against the fence, she pulled her scarf off focusing on her breathing.

Her manipulation wouldn't work on him, she knew. He was now too focused on the one thing she wanted everyone to ignore, herself. Even if she tried she would be rendered unconscious.

"My name is Olivia Scott. I'm a student at Hunter College majoring in photography and visual art. I live in Windsor Tower near 41st street." she recited as if she was talking to a customer service agent. Of course it was the truth, Keri made sure it was the truth. It had taken her weeks to forge the documents and school records. Her passport, state id, social security were of course official. With a birth certificate stating 'Olivia' actually existed and was a U.S. citizen made that possible.

Olivia was a straight A student, a previous resident of Ohio. Both of her grandparents died around the age of 65-70 with the exception her grandfather dying at 89. Her mother was Lydia, a seamstress who owned a craft store, and her father was Andrew, a private computer analyst. They were both recorded to have died in the San Francisco fire. Olivia had no other relatives.

There were probably microphones all around the perimeter. Keri picked up her voice slightly so Wraith could hear but the strain in the words were there. He would have to buy the story out of his own will, the proof was certainly all there, but she was out of energy to struggle against him.

If Wraith came up here for a fight, he wasn't going to get one. The girl, calling herself Olivia, Looked exhausted. Judging by the sound of her voice, she also wasn't going to get a second wind anytime soon. Going against his natural instincts, he holstered his weapon. She didn't seem like too much of a threat.

"So, Olivia...Let's just pretend you didn't just knowingly sneak into a government building. And let's pretend that I didn't see you on the cameras somehow persuading the guards to leave their posts. Tell me, What the hell are you doing up here?"

There wasn't one good excuse in the books that could get Keri out of this one. She was caught. And even if she didn't do time for it, there was probably going to be something that these people would dig up. Karma was like that when it came to losing...

Then a thought crept into her mind. Idiotic college kids...."A dare...my friends know I have a fear of heights so they dared me to climb the highest building in New York...Tobias said he would give me three hundred if I made it back alive...and I needed the money..."

She took a sharp breath trying to clear her head and possibly move but she was still very weakened. Manipulating nearly a dozen people did that to her. It was a miracle that she was still conscious after all that.

"Do you mind...moving me from the fence...? I don't think I can move..." The only thing that she carried on her that could get her into trouble was the handgun strapped to her lower back. It wasn't strange that she had it, New York was full of weirdos, but Wraith would probably take it just in case. Strangely she found herself warning him. "Tobi also gave me something other than advice... There's a handgun strapped to my lower back. He said it was for protection in case anything happened...It's only loaded with three bullets but I don't want it to accidentally go off."

Her voice drifted in and out, unable to keep a steady volume. But playing the ruse of an innocent would probably make it so much easier to get out...or probably even get some rest.

This girl was showing a lot of vulnerability. One of two things can happen in these type of situations. The girl's story could check out, Or the second he gets close, he gets his ass kicked and she walks away with who knows what. Instinct starts to kick in. Wraith reaches down to his holster and buttons his M9 in. With his gun secure, he readies his KABAR and slowly walks toward Olivia. "Okay miss Olivia. Here's how this will play out. You twitch, your throat is slit. I'm going to take away your weapon, eject it's clip, and throw your gun aside. By the way, I really hope you have your concealed weapons permit on you. Then you and I are going inside, away from the cold, and going to have a chat with head of security. Are we clear?"

Tom inched closer, his feet rocking forward from heel to toe. He started to play scenarios out in his head. If she reached for his knife, he'd grab her arm, twist towards her belly and plunge that knife in. If she reaches for the gun, grab the arm, pull it behind her back, and shove her forward. Each move would be methodical, exact, and well-executed. These scenarios and more played out, just to show a sample of what goes on in the mind of Wraith.

"Alright Olivia, If you have the strength, I want you to lean forward with your hands behind your head with your fingers laced. I must repeat that if you even twitch in the wrong direction, you will be killed. Do you copy?"

Keri raised her eyes blankly, her hearing going in and out as he spoke but she got the message. She gave a nod and pulled her hands up to rest against the back of her skull. Her fingertips were no longer numb so she had gained a bit of energy to stay more focused but nothing more than that.

She leaned forward resting a bit of weight on the bottom of her heel, a habit she formed a long time ago. It would allow her to stand up without the use of her hands. However, the technique used more energy than she had stored and without her handgun she could not attack. Running was not an option now. So instead, she rested her weight just enough so that she wouldn't topple over from waves of dizziness she was currently experiencing.

"Understood." she said. She closed her eyes as he came forward counting the steps and measuring the weight of them. He didn't approach her like an idiot, that was clear. But the question was, who was he?

Olivia was cooperating well so far. A fantastic departure from shooting first and asking questions later in Tom's book. However, He couldn't get comfortable now. That would only lead to letting his guard down. For some reason, the more she cooperated, the more nervous he felt. Strange.

His knees bent, and his feet still rolling forward, Wraith finally got right next to his potential foe. "Excuse the forwardness, but you aren't exempt from a pat down." Wraith checked the small of her back first, and sure enough, there was the handgun she mentioned. He ejected the clip and threw the gun aside out of reach. "For future reference, never accept a weapon from a friend. You never know if they are trying to pawn off a murder weapon or the quality of the gun."

It seemed off that he was offering advice to this girl that he hardly knew. Most of the time, Thomas wouldn't bother getting involved with a civilian. She seemed different for some reason. like she had potential. She did in fact break into a government building without firing a shot.

After dealing with her gun, he spoke loud enough for Hank to hear down in surveillance. "Alright Hank, Get me a room i can use for Interrogation. This shouldn't take too long. Oh and get a few guards up here to escort Miss Olivia downstairs."

"Now Miss Olivia. When we get downstairs, you will be treated like a suspect of a federal crime. I mean, Breaking into a government building is a felony, even if you were dared. You will be read your rights, be processed, searched for any other weapons or wires i may have overlooked and i will begin your interrogation. Cooperate, and i will make sure that no one sees this incident on any file. This will not take long. Now, lets get you out of the cold."

"Eh...I didn't know that..." she replied letting a bit of nervousness slip into her voice. What she was indeed afraid of was losing the handgun. It wasn't registered to anyone, smuggled from Zero's weapon supply, but it had some sentimental value.

She almost breathe a sigh of relief when he said the incident wouldn't be filed. It had taken her a very long time to get Olivia down right and cover up her background loopholes. If her record was tainted then she would have to restart. There was no doubt in her mind that she could easily get it erased but getting the federal government to forget something nowadays seemed near to impossible.

Keri was always prepared for anything...well almost. But this morning she made sure to 'pack light' as it were. Her messenger bag that she always carried around was left home along with her laptop. Her wallet held a few dollars, a bank card to Olivia's name as well as state id and her school id. She had keys to the said apartment.

Two things she carried that were sensitive were her cell phone, which held various private numbers, and her digital tape recorder. Her contacts usually did not answer without prior warning except for Zero. Her tape recorder, though very high tech, was empty. Both of them were kept in an inside pocket in her jacket. She had no doubt they would be found.

In the end, she muttered something about strangling Tobi under her breath.

After Olivia and Macyntyre were inside, Olivia was read her rights by government agents. They took all her belongings except for clothes, and Put her in a white room with a two way mirror. Hank and Wraith stood on one side watching her as an agent presented tom with her I.D.s. Thomas took a long look at it while Hank seem puzzled. "Do you think it's a fake sir?"

"Well it is possible, but if it is, It's a damn good one. Everything she's told us seems legit...That worries me. Either all the guards here had their thumbs up their asses and she just walked in...or something completely left field happened. Either way, I don't like it."

Wraith threw the IDs into the plastic bin holding all her belongings. Keys, a cell phone, and a tape recorder. That tape recorder was empty, thankfully. It was still wiped clean for safety precautions, but at least she didn't have anything on her. "Philips", Tom asked, "You've bugged her cell phone and recorder like i asked, didn't you? I don't want to lose this girl and we could use her if she has any contacts on her phone." Philips simply nodded and continued with his paper work.

Having covered all the bases he could think of, Wraith walked into the interrogation room. He sauntered over to his chair and looked Olivia right in the eyes.

"Okay Olivia, everything seems to check out. It was incredibly foolish for you to just walk into a Government building like that. If this place held anything top secret, you would have been dropped on sight. You have to use your head. Also, we are returning your friend's gun, but we are keeping the clip. Just wouldn't be good for us to give you a loaded weapon back. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
