SOCIAL CLASSES
Men and women are considered equal as each have the same rights, responsibilities and opportunities to take part in the same activities. Lady Grane rests at the top of Tierena's social hierarchy. Under her is the Aristocracy, consisting of Lady Grane's fierce warriors and wealthy noblemen and the Magocracy. Even lower are the officials, who work for Lady Grane and the aristocrats, the merchants, the craftsmen and finally the peasants or commonfolk who have no occupation.

Regarding the Magocracy
Even though the Magi live separate lives within their enclaves, they are very much part of the Tierena's upper social crust. The Magi bear titles based on their rank within their enclave's order. Dedicates and Honored Dedicates are considered to be 'teachers' and Initiates, Novices and Acolytes are considered to be 'students'. The most senior mages are the Supreme Dedicates and Elders.

TRAVELLING
The most common methods of transportation are walking and the use of various breeds of horses, mules and donkeys. Ships are obviously used to navigate the seas and smaller oar-driven boats, for the smaller waterways and lakes. Ships come in many shapes and sizes. Some Magi are also capable of teleportation, although it involved a very complicated ritual.

SPIRITUALITY
The Goddess, is the creative and life giving force of the Universe who fashioned the Nether with her own hands. She is comprised of air, earth, fire water, light and darkness. Meditation pleases the Goddess and those who take time each day to do so receive her divine favour. Meditation strengthens ones connection to the Goddess and her natural energies scattered throughout the Realms. Meditation can be done in the home or in the Temple, the main religious structure. The following deities exist to develop your character and are discussed below.

Quote:

MASK - Master of Darkness, night, shadows, arcane magic, divination, secrets, thievery, the stars
AELUNE - Mistress of Knowledge, craft, skill, scholars, poetry, music, strategy, knowledge, inspiration
TYR - Patron of Light, protection, divine magic, loyalty, nobility, victory, purification
SYLVANAR - The Earth Mother, the seasons, agriculture, cycle of life, fertility, the elements
VALAR - Lord of Power, change, destruction, power, beauty, strength, passion, death, illness
ELDARETH - Lord of Trade & Exploration, trade, wealth, adventure, sea travel, conquest, pirates

ECONOMICS & EXCHANGE
The realm's economy is based on trade driven mercantilism and exchange. Since the Goblins were enlisted by Lady Grane to revolutionize the exchange system, all trade routes revolve around Tirisaa. Important resources include water, timber, stone, salt, minerals and crops such as hemp and flax. They are farmed and processed into clothing, liquor, medicine and building materials which are then sold locally at the bazaar or on the world market after being transported overseas. Gold Royals are the principle currency of cities and towns of Tierena.

AGING & THE AFTERDEATH
With age, own's physical ability decrease and his or her mental abilities increase. Most people in the world at large die from pestilence, accidents, infections, or violence before getting to venerable age and passing into the Eternal Lands. In terms of death, everything has a life cycle. Just as the earth passes through the cycle of seasons, so too do lives pass through seasons. Reincarnation allows one to learn new lessons and/or to finish a task that he or she did not complete in previous lives. Souls dwell in the Eternal Lands between lives, a place for reunions, rest, reconnection with the divine and other supernatural beings.
