Elderthorn Vale is the vast, ancient woodland to the north of Edean. This region is an apparent paradise where gentle rain falls just enough to make everything grow full and lush. Bubbling streams run quietly through the verdant forest and melt into the mighty Silvenwing River which flows over an escarpment from the Silvenwing Falls out to the Sea. In the northern regions, adventurers may run into the ruins of an ancient settlement whose inhabitants are unknown. The architecture is somewhat foreign and it is speculated that the builders are now extinct. Nestled in the mid-regions of the forest, lies a quiet woodland glade featuring a strange arrangement of stones. It is not known how the large stones were moved to this location, nor is the role that the arrangement has to play. Perhaps it is a creation of the builders of the ancient ruins to the north. In the southern regions, adventurers would find the crystal mines. The cavernous halls carved out of the sediment play host to a variety of crystals that have the power to completely illuminate the entirety of the mines. The mining operation is still in full swing and the crystals have varying purposes in the enchanting and jewelcrafting trades. The leafy corridors of the forest may ring out with the music of tranquil songbirds but the land is wild and unpredictable. It is almost as deadly as it is beautiful, many wild and untamed beasts prowl along the forest floor. Edited by Arlan Taleisia, Sunday Jun 22 2008, 07:39 AM.
