OOC Info: Name/Alias: Gavin Age: 21 Gender: Male Method of Discovery: Vexas
I've read the rules and the words are: Polka dots and butterflies
IC Info: Name: Dagan Eyn'akr Alias/Nickname: Age: 58 Gender: Male Species: Bothan Faction: Galactic Republic Rank: Supreme Chancellor Homeplanet: Bothawui
Force Sensitive: No Force Powers: N/A
Appearance: Dagan is a handsome man by Bothan standards, and he keeps himself well groomed to keep up that standard. Though he is in his fifties he also keeps himself fit, weighing 150 lbs of defined muscle. All this he does to keep up appearances for his career as a politician. His fur is a tan color that covers his body, growing longer on his head. This hair he styles back and keeps tied together in various ways so it will not fall in his eyes, no need to look uncivilized. He will also decorate this hair in different ways with beads and such.
With Bothans, one can resemble a cat, dog or horse to a human, and to most humans Dagan resembles a dog. He has a long snout and a brown nose, and on the side of this snout he has a tuft of hair on each side that resembles a mustache. On the bottom is another tuft of brown hair that he grooms like a beard. His eyes are a maroon color that can be intimidating when his ears are back.
Of course when in the Senate chambers he wears the robes of the Supreme Chancellor, but outside those chambers Dagan wears clothes that match the situation he's in. In terms of casual situations Dagan usually wears a simple brown pair of pants with a red shirt and a tan vest. In formal situations he wears loose fitting robes that resemble the Chancellor robes, although not quite.
Possessions: [x1] 411 hold-out blaster pistol [x1] DD6 Blaster Pistol YV-100 Light Freighter
Personality: Dagan's personality reflects his political views. Most politicians seem to polarize from one extreme of philosophy to another, Dagan does not. When it comes to war, Dagan is not a war hawk but neither is he a pacifist. He will try diplomacy first, but if it's clear the person with whom he is negotiating is only taking advantage of him be it through trying to distract him with one issue to exploit another or to offer a false hand of friendship as the other hand takes freedom loving planets then Dagan will act. He is not afraid to butt heads with the military however, as he knows that as the Commander-in-Chief of the military he must have their loyalty and have them follow his orders not the other way around.
Though Dagan is highly critical of the previous Supreme Chancellors that came immediately before him, in terms of policies viewing one as too war hungry and the other as too much of a wimp, he has vowed not to turn his back on the alliances they have set forward and as such is willing to work with the Empire if the Empire is genuine in it's intentions of ridding the Galaxy of Crime. He is not naive though, and if the Empire, once the enemy of the Republic were too become it's enemy again, he would not hold a hand to militarists such as the Antrus brothers to keep them from defending the Republic.
His most major concern is to leave the office of the Chancellorship with the Republic in a stronger place than it was when he came in. In this way Dagan has turned what is usually a Bothan-centric view into a Republic-centric view. Like most Bothans, Dagan has a high opinion of himself but he has shed the view that most Bothans have of humans and other aliens being inferior.
History: Dagan was born on Bothawui like most Bothans are, his father was a merchant and his mother stayed at home to raise him and his two brothers. During his time with his family, Dagan lived the typical Bothan life learning the Bothan Way of trying to advance oneself before all others and to advance the species above all other species. As a boy, he saw nothing inherently wrong with that system of living something that extended exposure to outside species would change. In his fifth year, his
