Appearance: Sigil is a Shard and unlike most sentient species he is inorganic. Like all Shards Sigil is made up of a silicon based crystal. His crystalline body is small only about eleven inches long and purple in color. Being a Shard Sigil has no natural mobility. To remedy this Sigil has had himself installed in a 501-Z Police Droid. The droid itself was around six feet eight inches tall. Sigil's crystalline body or what he calls his 'True Form' is held within the 501-Z's chest. The single horizontal photoreceptor for the 501-Z are usually red but Sigil has changed this to a dark purple to better resemble the color of his True Form. Sigil has arranged his bandoleers crisscross style across the droids chest along with a basic utility belt for any other odds and ends. Sigil also wears a basic gray cloak adorned with a faded emblem of the Galactic Republic

Normally when not on missions for the Republic military the Armor of Sigil's 501-Z is painted a dark blue. Depending on the field of battle he is on the color of his armor may vary. For example should he be on a desert world he would be repainted for desert camo, for a woodland area he would be similarly colored so on and so forth. The armor plating of his Droid has been peppered with glancing bolts and a few direct hits. Though at present they are incredibly hard to see due to his droid's armor constantly being repainted. But those with a penchant for detail will notice the tell tall signs of scaring across his chest, legs and arms.

Personality: Being a species that can live for a millennia, Sigil is very patient. He always manages to keep a level head even in the heat of battle. He is relatively nice to most people he meets though he is known for brief moments of extreme aggression. Sigil also seems to keep to himself during his free time. Though he does enjoy the company of others he tends to distance himself from what he calls 'organics'. He enjoys working with computers to such an extent that he spends his free time building and repairing old computers. He dislikes it when the people he knows or works for use him simply as a tool and not as a Sentient being. Which is one reason why he approves of the Jedi working with the military as officers. He knows they will never use soldiers in that manner.

Sigil also has unwavering support for the Republic and what it stands for. Should he ever be in a losing battle he's always the first to volunteer to stay and hold the line. Which he usually succeeds at due to his choice of weapons and his increased durability. Sigil enjoys using the larger and more powerful weapons. Though he holds a special love for shotguns of any type. As they have saved him on many occasions.

Even with Sigil's stalwart support of the military system within the Republic he has no aspirations to rank up so to speak. He knows he isn't much of a leader and would best serve the republic as a grunt with a very large weapon. Sigil takes great pride in his appearance and knows the value of intimidation. He enjoys taunting his opponents during battle, often shouting expletives in their direction as he fires.

History: Sigil's early life on his species homeworld, Orax was rather uneventful. He was born in the year 200 BrS and spent most of his life planetside amongst his own people. For 145 years he remained on Orax studying the histories of the galaxy. During his teachings he had grown fond of the Republic and in his youth he wanted to visit it's capital, Coruscant. By the time the year 55 BrS came around Sigil had decided to leave Orax. He decided to join an educational program that would take him to Coruscant. For the program he was installed in a simple protocol droid for mobility. Soon enough he was on his way to Coruscant to further his knowledge. The program would last for five years. During that time Sigil would spend most of in the halls of Coruscant's educational centers. He studied everything from engineering, robotics, computer security and droid repair. He learned of the Jedi, the Sith, and of the great military battles of old.

During his five year stay on Coruscant he grown to love the Republic and the Democracy it stood for. His stay had instilled a great will to travel and visit the many worlds of the Republic. In his inorganic mind the best way to do that would be to volunteer for the Republic Army. By joining up it would satisfy his adventurism along with his fascination with large scale military combat. So in 50 BrS when it was time for him to return to Orax, Sigil chose to stay. Though it took some coaxing at the military recruitment office he was finally allowed to join up. Though the Army made a request that he be put into a new droid shell more fit for military service. Surprisingly he was allowed to choose his droid. Only one stood out the most, it was a droid made by SoroSuub Corporation. The droid was a 501-Z Police droid. The officers at the recruitment office seemed more than pleased with his decision. As that particular model of droid was a well rounded model, with adequate armor. Along with the ability to utilize various weapons types unlike other combat droids which already had preexisting weapons attached.

His training was vastly different from regular training. It consisted of learning various combat maneuvers over and over. He never really took part in any physical training as he had no need for it. His 501-Z had all the strength it already needed. Many of the 'organic' soldiers resented him for being able to skip out on physical training. Sigil didn't understand why since he was still treated the same as everyone else when it came to any other training. Eventually though in an effort to fit in he chose to take part in the physical training. His effort to fit in quickly backfired, as he always outperformed his peers in every aspect of physical training. His fellow soldiers distaste for him grew. It wasn't until they began to partake in mock battles that Sigil began to fit in.

No matter what position he held within his squad they always tending to win. The only time they ever lost was when the drill instructors put Sigil in a leadership role. Which in turn tended to cause Sigil to freeze up when asked what to do. He was always afraid of being put in a leadership role. But he understood he had to do it and would eventually be in a position where he would have to put lives at stake. Even with his lackluster leadership skills he was still an exceptional Grunt. His most favorite position within the squad was heavy weapons. He enjoyed holding such massive weapons like they were a toy. Over time he became the number one choice for the heavy weapons position.

By the time of his graduation from boot camp he had gone from the most despised person in his group but now he was an important member of his unit. For the next five years he would constantly be on patrol with his unit at far reaching points of the Republic. They constantly dealt with pirates, slavers and smugglers. His unit was stationed at several exotic worlds, such as Kashyyyk, Bothawui, Falleen and Naboo. He loved them all, particularly Kashyyyk. He found it strange that such a backwards living people had such an affinity for technology. It was then in 45 BrS that his unit was pulled off it's patrol duties on Corellia. It seemed the Sith had returned to the galaxy and had declared war on the Republic. Finally all of the skills Sigil had learned over the years would finally be put to the test.

Sigil's unit were among the few well trained military units the Republic had at the start of the war. Which meant they were often at the forefront of the conflict until the Republic could muster a sizable force. The Great Sith war lasted for ten bloody years. Sigil had lost many friends and even earned himself the nickname Legion while fighting on Kashyyyk. He wasn't sure why he had earned it, he was just doing what he was told to do by his superiors. They couldn't risk losing Kashyyyk along with the support of the Wookiees. So in turn they were given orders to hold the line. Normally he would have questioned such orders but he had grown to like Kashyyyk and its inhabitants. Another factor that stopped him from questioning his orders was that the Wookiees were fighting with them as well. With those two variables he along with his unit fought for Kashyyyk like it was their home. To his dismay he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant after that battle.

As the war started to come to a close Sigil was one of the few original members of his unit. Most were either wounded or killed in battle. When they had finally finished off the Sith and pushed back the Mandalorians; Sigil had thought about retiring. But some of his friends who had moved up in rank managed to talk him out of it. Though he was granted leave for six months for his constant service during the Great Sith war. Upon his return from leave, he began to help retrain new soldiers for the Republic. Though he really only helped with weapons training and not much else. He spent five years helping train the youth of the Republic military, then returned to active duty.

For the next 25 years he was back to doing what he did before the Great War. Patrolling the farthest reaches of the Republic for pirates, slavers, and smugglers. By the time 8 BrS came around along with the discover of the Empire, Sigil's unit was called back from the frontier. For the next three years they participated in military exercises in preparation for war. By 5 BrS a preemptive strike was launched against the Empire and their Sith counterparts. The war went fast and was almost as brutal as the Great Sith war before it. Ultimately though the Republic came out on top but, with great expense. The Jedi council along with their Grandmaster had been killed. Much of the Republic's resources had been expended. And to make matters worse members of the Republic were beginning to secede due to the current Chancellors handling of the war.

With the standoff between the Republic and the Empire still raging. Sigil finds himself constantly training and participating in military exercises. No one knows if war will break out again but with the Republic fortifying its territories it may be sooner then most think. Even with the standoff in between maneuvers Sigil's unit is sent out to help snuff out criminal activity near the border regions. It's there where he spends most of his time now aboard a Republic cruiser patrolling friendly territory.

I will shank you with a garden trowel

Did not even see this one here, my bad. Biggest problem is the Droid Shell being the Magna Guard. During this timeline, the IG-100 has not been built yet, since we have no Grievous or Seperatist.
