Appearance:
Solomon Amari stands at 5'2", which is a decent height for his species. He bears a lithe build, and his potential agility can be easily seen. Reddish-brown fur covers his whole body, apart from the bottom of his snout, his chest, the inside of his limbs of and the tip of his tale, which are all pure white. His face is long and points forward into a snout, and he bears a black nose, long pointy ears and grey eyes. The Amaran is known for not wearing much, often in just some trousers with a belt to keep his equipment on. He feels far more relaxed when he is like this, and like to not wear a top in order to feel the wind brush against his fur. In council meetings, however, he wears traditional Jedi robes.
While he is usually seen wearing nothing much, the Amaran has an extensive wardrobe filled with all sorts of colourful robes and regal uniforms that had been gifted to him by his father all those many times he had been trying to persuade him to return to the Royal Family. The Jedi Master has happily ignored his father and decided to keep the elegant clothing. The Jedi Master walks with grace and spirit, and when in the mood he likes to adorn his rather elegant regal clothing in order to match his high spirits. He never wears anything too eye-catching or colourful, but prefers to stick to regal clothes of more elegance rather than colour and liveliness.
Possessions: Green Lightsaber Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor - "Valkyrie"
Personality:
Sol is a carefree, positive, eccentric, whimsical and humourous Jedi that is passionate about the Jedi and the Republic. The fox-like Jedi likes nothing more than having fun, and his humour ranges from clever sarcastic comments to sheer immature behaviour. When he was a Knight, the Jedi Council had hoped that he would eventually grow out of his immaturity, but now he is over forty years old and still loves nothing better than playing cunning tricks and being witty. Some would see this as strange, but the fox pays no attention to other's thoughts. Most of the Masters and some of the Knights find Sol quite awkward, but the sheer fact that he is in the Council means that they respect him and know that there must be some good reason to have him in there. The Younglings and a lot of the Padawans interestingly have a great admiration for Sol's fun-loving character and sense of freedom.
The other Jedi in the Order have no clue as to how the Amaran possibly managed to get into the Jedi Council, let alone become a Jedi Master. But those on the Council know that Sol hides a most deep and hidden wisdom and bares a cunning in battle that resembles none other than a fox. His intelligent and excellent decision-making and strategy-forming played key parts in the Shock War, and the Amaran proved himself worthy of praise time and time again as the war raged on. After the war subsided, the Council have noticed him resume his previous fun-loving self, but during Council Meetings the Amaran often provides sound advice and intelligent reasoning.
The Amaran has no real care for his homeplanet, Amar, except for his family that reside there. He tries to avoid going there for the fact that every time he does his father tries to re-induct him into the Royal Family. Sol knows that he is officially Royal, and is next in line for the throne of Amar, but he has no such wish to become a King and has already passed on the title to his younger and far more responsible brother. Rather than his homeplanet, Amar, Sol believes that his true home is on the Wookiee world of Kashyyyk. He loves the planet, and often goes there to relax and meditate in the peacefulness of the planet. He has made many friends there, and all of the Wookiees are aware of his presence on the planet and are happy to have a Jedi Master like him call their planet his home.
Rather than finding the Sith vile and malicious, he sees them more as boring and cliched. He often gets bored with the usual Sith rant of taking over the galaxy and how they often boast about destroying the Jedi and killing Sol. So far, they have done neither. The Amaran does however have some respect for a Sith that has some sense of honour, and even more respect for those who have a sense of humour. However, those Sith that can do nothing but insult and sneer as a way of humouring themselves is pretty boring as well. The Amaran particularly admires the Mandalorians, and finds their rather dirty humour much amusing. Because of his interest in them and their culture, he has even taken the task of learning some of their language in order to hear their funnier side. He has quite a few Mandalorian friends who now serve as Republic Commandos, and they amuse him often. Sol likes Jedi who have some attitude and like to be free, and he often finds that most of the Order is boring and stuffy. For one such as Sol, you would think that he would not want to be part of a restricting order like the Jedi, but he loves them all and they are all a part of his family, however extended and restrictive this family may be. Sol Amari is a Reformist, and has been one of the leading minds of the rather subtle evolution of the Jedi Order. Some would call him a "modern" Jedi, one that is still committed to the principles of the Jedi but also one that shows less seriousness and a willingness to loosen the Orthodoxy that has been existent in the Order for thousands of years.
History:
The great and popular King Amari ruled the planet of Amar, world of the fox-like Amarans. The King was wise and kind, and was very popular with the people. He soon had a child with the Queen, which he named Solomon, and he rejoiced in the fact that he had acquired an heir. Many Jedi theorize that Sol surely must have been dropped on the head at birth, due to his eccentric personality and the general feeling that his thoughts are always away on another planet somewhere. And so Solomon grew up in the Royal Household and was pampered from birth onwards. Upon reaching the age of 3, however, a Dark Jedi by the name of Karn had arrived on the planet to refuel. He sensed a powerful Force signature coming from the Royal Palace, and so traveled there to investigate. He at first thought the power was coming from the King, but after closer investigation he found that it was coming from a mere child; the young prince Solomon. And so in the dead of the night, Karn stole into the Palace and took the three-year old, whisking him away to the Outer Rim to become his apprentice in the Dark Side and perhaps create a new Sith Order.
King Amari immediately contacted the Jedi Order for help. The planet of Amar was neutral, but the King knew that the Jedi were honourable and resourceful people and would hopefully help him. The Jedi Order sent out Jedi Knight Menvius to investigate. The Jedi Knight managed to find out from the fueling station that the Dark Jedi's next step was to go to the planet of Tatooine to seek refuge. The Jedi Knight set out for the planet and eventually apprehended the baby-snatcher. After a most difficult battle, Menvius managed to defeat the Dark Jedi and both bring him into custody and rescue the Amaran child. The Jedi Knight could see why the Dark Jedi would want the baby, for Menvius could also feel the Force power that was enveloping the child. The child would make a good Jedi, but he doubted that Sol would be given permission to join the Order by his father.
The King of Amar was very grateful upon the return of his son. However, he was not so keen when he heard Jedi Knight Menvius request that his son be taken to the Jedi Temple for possible training as a Jedi. Sol's mother felt that it would be an honour to have a Jedi in the family, but King Amari was very reluctant and knew that the Jedi would not allow his son to take the throne when the time is right. But his wife nagged him and managed to persuade him, and so the King let Menvius walk off with his boy, possibly seeing him for the last time. He would make sure to blame it on his wife if anything should happen to his son.
Sol was taken before the Jedi Council, and it was not long before he was admitted to the Order. He was still only three, but Menvius had taken the task of being his unofficial tutor and when the time was right he would take the Amaran as his Padawan. Menvius could see that Sol was very talented indeed, and it did not take much teaching and instruction for the Amaran to be lifting small objects already with the Force. Menvius began to teach harder and more difficult techniques while Sol was still at an early stage, and challenged the boy to achieve his limits. Menvius saw great potential in the boy, and was eager to see him grow into a strong Jedi. As the fox-boy grew older, Menvius also noticed that he had a serious naughty streak. He liked to play pranks and generally annoy the other Jedi. Soon Menvius was receiving complaints, and after a stern talk he managed to subdue the boy's behaviour temporarily.
At the age of twelve, Sol became Menvius' official Padawan. Menvius instructed the boy with discipline yet also with compassion. Menvius admired the boy greatly, and would not be surprised if Sol went on to exceed Menvius' power. Sol was in love with the Force, and Menvius could see that he trained in it extensively and consumed all of his time training in the Force. However, Menvius was slightly concerned that Sol also seemed to neglect his lightsaber training, and was more focused on the Force. While that was fine, seeing as the Jedi split into both the Consulars and the Guardians, Sol still needed good lightsaber training in order to become a Knight. Menvius managed to persuade Sol to focus more on his lightsaber, and soon everything began to run smoothly.
At the age of seventeen, Sol had become a strong and able fighter, but his strange and rather nonchalant behaviour seemed to cling onto him even at this somewhat mature age. Menvius tried to pay it no attention, but the other Jedi were noticing. In order to try and make Sol grow up and mature, he was sent on a diplomatic mission with Menvius to discuss the current political relationship on Kashyyyk between the Wookiees and the Republic. Solomon fell in love with the planet almost immediately, and soon after the meeting with the Wookiee Chieftains and their King he persuaded his master to stay on the planet for a few more days. Menvius reluctantly agreed, and decided to travel to a rural village where he could glean some information on what the locals thought of the Republic and the Jedi. Sol meanwhile ventured into the forests, and found peace within them. The Force was everywhere here, and Sol was blown away by the millions of Force signatures that entered his brain from all the strange and exotic lifeforms that resided on the planet. Sol found a strange affinity between himself and nature, and his master Menvius was surprised when he came back to find Sol playing with a Walluga, one of the most deadliest creatures on Kashyyyk. Sol was able to naturally call upon nature to aid him, and so Menvius let him stay in Kashyyyk for another month on the grounds of 'further training in the Force'.
The age of twenty came, and Menvius felt that his Padawan was ready for Knighthood. The Jedi Council had been watching the Amaran closely, and were debating among themselves whether Sol's supposedly harmless eccentricity and nonchalance could actually leave an emotional gap open for the Dark Side to enter. It was a strange case that they had not come across before, and they were seriously considering the risks and dangers of Sol's 'fun-loving' lifestyle. After a week of consideration, they finally allowed the Amaran to undertake the tests of Knighthood. Sol was more than capable of becoming a Knight when it came to sheer ability, the Council knew that, but whether he was emotionally ready to undertake such a role was hard to know for sure. Nevertheless, Sol took the Trials and after a little difficulty he managed to pass and be formerly made into a Jedi Knight. Sol was filled with a elevating delight, and pranced about in glee around the Temple to the amusement of the other Jedi. Menvius was made into a Jedi Master for his many achievements and the success of his Padawan, and so all was good.
Sol's fleeting vibe still managed to burn within him. He would make jokes in serious situations and felt that life was meant to be lived to the fullest. The Jedi Council was worried, but they also felt that along with Sol's nonchalance was also a childlike innocence and sincerity. These traits always shone from the Amaran, yet the Jedi Council also knew that this could also have its downfall, like the innocence when facing something like the Dark Side. And oh, that day did come. Menvius and his former Padawan Sol were sent to Corellia to investigate a hidden Force Cult that was rumoured to be hiding there. They claimed to be the 'Real Sith' and that they held all the power in the galaxy. They were all of course weak, stupid and young, and were easily defeated by Menvius and Sol. But their leader certainly was not weak, and sought to return the Sith to their former glory. He claimed to be one of the Old Sith Lords, an ancient Feeorin Sith by the name of Darth Ecrenius. Master Menvius easily saw through the Feeorin's rather shaky claim, but he could not ignore the fact that this man was one of great power. Luckily, time had made the supposed Sith Lord weaker than he once was, but he still was a menace in battle. He weaved in and out of Menvius and Sol like they were nothing, and with one graceful step he dove passed Sol and cut through Menvius like butter. Sol watched his master die before him. The Jedi Knight slipped into rage as he bitterly attacked the murderer, much to the Feeorin's delight. After a long and tiring battle, Sol remembered what the Jedi Way was, and his battle style soon regained its graceful and calm demeanour and managed to contain the cult leader. Ecrenius was at Sol's mercy, and even at the Feeorin's attempts to make Sol cut him down it was to no avail. Sol took control of his anger and calmed himself, only to watch in horror as the Sith fanatic lashed out with a surge of Lightning. Sol was quick to react, and with a flick of his lightsaber he managed to absorb and deflect the Lightning, killing the cult leader as he was tormented by his own Force Lightning.
Sol returned to the Jedi Temple and mourned bitterly. But he was a Jedi Knight now, and so it was not right to be crying over such matters. His old Master was now a part of the Force, and after three months of meditation on Kashyyyk Sol managed to get over his master's violent death. Years passed, and the Amaran had lost a lot of his attitude after that fateful event, and while he still showed rather fun-loving tendencies he was brought before the Council and was appointed a Padawan. The Council watched Sol closely, but they were relatively sure that the Amaran would be able to properly train the Padawan, and some responsibility would help Sol grow into a better Jedi. He was given Jedi Initiate Kayn Dezardus. Sol immediately took a laid-back approach to mentoring his Padawan, and often let him do whatever he wanted and taught him in the ways of the Force casually yet excitingly. It was a mistake Sol would never make again. Inevitably, Kayn's laid-back training did not instruct him properly in how to resist anger and hatred, and after the death of his father he fell down into the abyss that was the Dark Side. Not many people had the same kind of resilience to the Dark Side that Sol did, and so Kayn's Fall hit him hard. Sol vowed to save him, and so traveled to Nar Shaddaa to confront him, only to find out that the Sith had gotten there first and had lured Kayn away into their secret Order. Sol cursed his foolishness and returned to the Jedi bitterly.
More years passed, and Sol excelled in his duties as a Jedi Knight. The Council were ashamed that they had made the 'mistake' of giving Sol such a responsibility, and Sol was depressed yet still managed to hide it with his eccentric personality and fun-loving spirit. The Council doubted that Sol would ever exceed the title of Jedi Knight, all because of this one major mistake which had nearly resulted in Sol's Exile. It was then that Sol heard of a raid on Kashyyyk, and he was sent to investigate. The powerful and successful Sith Warrior, Kayn Dezardus, was heading the strike team. Sol immediately made haste for the planet, and with the aid of careful planning and the raw strength of the Wookiees, he made short work of the strike team; leaving only Kayn left to defend himself. He had fallen so far, yet Sol persisted and beat the boy down. Kayn had grown so much since they had last met, but for all the wrong reasons. It was a depressing situation indeed. It was easy to defeat the ambitious Sith Warrior, and after defeating him Sol simply sighed as Kayn pleaded with his old master to strike him down, and end his pathetic life. With the utmost compassion, Sol told Kayn that there was always a place for him with the Jedi, and after an emotional few minutes of persuasion and discussion, Kayn Dezardus was redeemed. He returned to the Jedi Order and managed to settle back in. Sol welled up with happiness at his success, and the Council was pleased.
Kayn was once again under Sol's tutelage, yet this time it was stricter and more disciplined, yet the boy was still entertained to Sol's unique personality and eccentricity. After three more years of hard work and training, Kayn Dezardus was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight and Sol was made into a Jedi Master for his tremendous work. Sol's personality would never change, the Council now knew that, but the Amaran held a goodness and sense of forgiveness that most Jedi could not hope of achieving. Solomon Amari became a powerful Jedi Master, and his Force abilities were renowned throughout the Order.
More years passed, and after more tomfoolery and more meditation on the beautiful planet of Kashyyyk, Sol received an urgent message as War broke out across the Galaxy. The Shock War. Sol immediately rushed to Coruscant, and from there he provided sound advice and an uncanny wisdom that the Council had never seen before from the Amaran. Sol accompanied and fought in many of the battles that raged across the Galaxy in that war, and commanded some of them with superior strategic skills. Many of the Jedi were in awe of his sudden change of demeanour, and how he could relax and think of solutions in even the most desperate and serious situations. The Council were more than impressed, and after his most humble yet impressive display of knowledge and prowess he was asked to join the Council as one of their Members, and became an important voice in the Jedi Order. This was at the dawn of the war, and the new High Council Member was about to be plunged into work immediately. The War broke the Jedi. It destroyed the Council and the Master of the Order and Grandmaster were lost to the horrors of war. Sol became an integral part of the new Senior Council that strove to salvage the old council and rescue it from destruction. The fires of war eventually ended, and the Amaran became a key member of the Senior Elective Council. He advised the Senate on various matters including the War, and after it he became a key adviser on the rebuilding after the war. Soon, a new Grandmaster would have to emerge, and the Amaran was sure to make the salvaged Council ready for their new leader.

Well this a rather well constructed Bio, and as I was going to form the council once I finished the bio for the Grandmaster, this bio had me a bit apprehensive. But for the most part now that I have seen it I like it but there are some light issues that may need addressing to keep you aligned to site canon and hopefully place you in a position among the Jedi.
- First little issue is the Appearance, our rules mandate a second paragraph. I would advise you to focus on details of his wardrobe and smaller mementos he carries about him. Especially since he is a "Jedi Prince" something from his Amaran culture would influence his dress style much akin to how other races in the Order are effected.
- Personality is phenomenal, but there is a bit that does align to his role. I like that he is the Playful and Funny master, and trust me the order has had its fair share, but I wouldn't call him immature. It denotes an "inability" to be serious which he is full capable of. He is more so whimsical and full of positive caprice. Thus he has a random impulse about him, but nothing that through training he can't control. However saying this keeps him inline with the Jedi with full eccentricity. You may also may want to limit on how many times you wish to call him "Childish" may want to use Fleeting, Nonchalant, and Informal. He would be considered a "Modern" Jedi that has evolved and loosened the Orthodoxy of the Order. The past council was the last of the Universal Orthodoxy and right now Jedi like Sol along with some other Council members even the to be Grandmaster are Reformists. In the sense they are Orthodox but pushing the Evolution of the Order. Something that would have occurred in canon if Palpatine hadn't formed the mess known as the Clone Wars.
- Since we have in our Canon stated all the Sith Lords of the Main Sith Order, I would prefer you to label the Sith Lord Sol and his Master face to be something of heretic. He would not be truly a "Sith Lord" as the Sith consider him, and the name would be self given. I don't mind using the title for the characters perspective but this Cult leader would be false in his claim. Much as a Potentium follower would to claim himself a Jedi Master as it is considered heresy in both Streamlined orders.
- I am willing to let your character keep its boast of being among the Renowned, as long as you aware claims do not make him so. Just a fair warngng to be careful and don't flaunt it on the site. Because I rather like the character personally.
- During the last Paragraph you should state the loss of the Entire Council and the Order's grandmaster and Master of the Order. In fact for story purposes state that he is of the Masters on Coruscant that managed to Salvage the High Council and direct it through the loss. Since he is wise and able to give much needed direction he would be perfect for this. This would have made him a Council Master for 4 to 5 Years before the Sites current time. In which you may wish to make your character a bit older 45-47 years old would be ideal, Amaran would be longlived compared to humans (not counting him being immersed in the Lightside). Thus he is part of the Elective Senior council that would usher in the Grandmaster.
- On the idea of making him apart of the Senior Council, may want to state his important role within Jedi that is to help advise the Senate as the previous Senior council had before hand. This time instead of war into rebuilding.
Well these are most of the important issues and also some additions you may or may not have been aware of. I hope you find this helpful and aids in building a character you want. Any questions feel free to PM/IM me, and I will do my best to answer them for you.
