Jedi Healer

There were many things that the young Jedi Knight was accustomed to, but this was definitely not one of them, the cold. It was freezing, or at least it felt that way to her skin, her cheeks flushed from the biting cold. Her arms were wrapped around herself tightly and she was wearing a thick jacket and long pants that hung over the tops of her combat boots. A hood was what the jacket had also, and it was furry though with synthetic material, not actually animal, and she had the hood up and pulled as far forward as she could get, the fur brushing on her forehead.

A crunch as she stepped made her aware of her standing on a fallen leaf, it had hardened in place on the ground and now she had crushed it, breaking it into a dozen or so pieces. With a small sigh the Jedi Knight continued forward in the forest, heading to a break in the thick expanse of trees. But there was going to be no warm greeting outside of the forest, she could see the brightness that radiated in the empty expanse of trees ahead, the snow that reflected the sun so brightly from where it sat.

Pressing her lips firmly together she stepped out into the snow, her combat boots immediately sink a foot deep in the white frozen liquid. She squinted ahead but the brightness made seeing anything lingering in the forest impossible. Part of why she'd come here was to test herself and throw herself out of her element, but this was perhaps going a little further than she thought. Her hands were clenched into fists, balled up between her arms and her chest. She'd forgotten gloves. Amanda tried looking up at the sky but the sun was directly overhead, another sight issue.

Squeezing her eyes shut she froze there in the snow near the edge of the forest she had just walked out from. She was giving her eyes a break from the brightness, they needed time to adjust not just be bombarded with it. But at the same time she was creating a calming aura around herself. Amanda couldn't create warmth, that would have been nice but she couldn't do that, so she simply had to settle for calming herself and then consider opening herself up to the Force more to use it as a guide instead of her eyes.

Davma Hades

Harsh extremes, one of the key points of Davma’s harsh training regiment. He put himself through hell every time he went off to train himself. He pushed himself to his limits every time so that he would always be ready, so that he would never be surprised. Like a wolf Davma ran through the snow covered woods with speed and grace, the force flowing through him like a raging torrent. He moved between tree and tree as he tried to run faster and faster, he could feel his muscles burning and begging for release but he would not give them it. He continued to run and run until he saw a rather large tree ahead of him. Gathering the force around him Davma ran faster towards the tree before jumping high into the air landing in one of the many branches above in the heights. He hadn’t even been there for a second before he jumped off falling down and hitting the ground. The second his feet were on the ground he was running once more, he could feel his muscles slowly starting to give out on him. He could feel that he was reaching the limit of what he could do in this weather.

“As I walk among these shadows, I feel the beating of its heart. Walk alone against everything I know. I will fight, or I will fall. Till the force saves us all.” Davma said to himself as he could feel his energy slowly starting to dip away. He started to slow down until finally he came to a crash falling to his knees with his hands catching himself as he fell grabbing the ground in front of him. His chest heaved up and down as he tried to catch his breathe and his body burned from what he had put it through. He then noticed that he wasn’t alone and it surprised him. He didn’t know why he didn’t feel the person there before but he quickly moved his eyes up to look over to see someone standing just nearby. She was a Jedi; he thought he had seen her before somewhere. Not to be rude Davma stood up slowly as he felt his body begging to just fall into the snow. “Greetings to you, I’m surprised to see anybody else in a place like this.” Davma said as he started to take a few steps towards her.

Dain walked a few paces behind Tresky, enjoying the sound of crunching snow and the wintry air. She had been out of the medical ward on Dantooine for about a week, and was enjoying the change of scenery immensely. The snow added an interesting layer to everything she saw through the force. The surface of things was softened, but the knight could still pick up on everything that had been buried. An interesting effect to say the least.

The force user was thankful to have an excuse to use Tapas. It was a practical skill for any jedi to posses, and she had been worried that disuse had caused her skill with it to deteriorate. Thankfully that seemed to not be the case as Dain could not feel any of the cold air that was surely seeping through despite the cold weather gear.

Off in the distance there was a the faint sound of crashing through the trees, accompanied by an approaching force signature. Force Sensitive, solid stone, harmonious. Another Jedi most likely. Had they planned to meet someone here? Dain had been so focused on going to someplace that was simply not the healing ward that she hadn't paid too much attention to the specifics of the outing.

The Phantom Jedi

Atticus landed on the planet, leaving the Phantom in the shadows. He looked up his ship and smiled. "See ya," He said.

It was his day off, and one of his fellow Jedi had suggested this planet as a good training ground. The bitter cold was already sinking in, ultrachrome and armorweave protect against lightsabers. Not the cold. He went into his ship to retrieve a light coat and exited once more. He sensed the presence of others near by. No malice involved, they had to be Jedi, however just to be safe he entered Force Cloak. As he neared the group, he watched them. They seemed to be Jedi, but Atticus had seen some good acting before. As a third Jedi watched Atticus dropped the Cloak and stepped out of the trees.

"Hello." He said. "Am I correct in my assumption that you are Jedi?" He assumed. "I too are among your order if so." Atticus slightly recognized the man slightly. He was a Jedi Master, one which Valara had known, not well though as Valara, and Atticus by association, were usually secluded from the order to to their various missions. "Master Hades I believe?" He said answering his own mental question. "And I believe you are Knights Tresky and Ado?" He turned to the women. "Oh, sorry, as a Shadow I remember faces and names pretty well, especially pretty ones. Oh. And how could I have forgotten, I am Atticus Stark, Jedi Shadow, at your service." He bowed, in his usual showmanship.

When she halted with the calming sensation she did not open her eyes, merely reached out with the Force to feel the things around her. Expecting Dain's presence, yes, the other girl was only a few paces behind. She was also expecting the life of the forest around them but what she was not expecting was other signatures in the Force as clear and bright as her own and Dain's. Abruptly she opened her eyes to catch a glimpse of one kneeling before he noticed her and got to his feet.

His words made her laugh lightly and glance back towards Dain briefly before her eyes returned to the elder man. "We're as equally surprised I assure you," Amanda told him truthfully as she gestured towards Dain. "We had thought some training in the elements would be a good test of skill," She glanced at Dain and winked once with a grin, the other girl had in a way gone through things that were similar to what Amanda had experienced, it was like finding a kindred spirit, and that was always a welcome thing when it came to the Jedi and friendships.

Amanda's head snapped quickly in another direction now, the silver hair of the new arrival had her fully aware of what kind of heritage and therefore skill was behind him. She listened to him speak, he was definitely good with faces and names if she did not recognize him and she scolded herself silently for that, though when he complimented Dain and herself about being pretty she merely blinked at him, her attitude fell with the original Code of the old Jedi Order, the Code that would encourage no attachments of any kind. Acquaintances, friends in a way were fine, but flirting was off the cards.

"Well it's a pleasure meeting you, I have not had the privilege of meeting a Shadow before." She responded kindly, a thoughtful edge to her voice as she considered him and what he said. More to the point who the Master was. Well at least now they were all acquainted somewhat. "You have skill in remembering names and faces, though I imagine such a trait could be the difference between life and death in your line of work. Of course I am but a Jedi Healer, rarely placed in such a forward line of danger." Her head tilted thoughtfully on this for a moment before she shrugged to herself and smiled.

Davma Hades

Davma nodded with a small smile and than turned his head to look at the one that had come out of hiding. He nodded when the Shadow spoke his name and than looked to the others as he said who they were. Sadly Davma wasn’t the greatest when it came to names, he had probably seen these three before but he never could remember such things. His attention went back to the shadow however, this Atticus. Davma was a avid supporter of the Jedi Shadow branch, he believed the Sith needed to be hunted down and destroyed and they were the tip of the spear that would lead the way into the heart of darkness. Davma just smiled at his many thoughts and then went back to what was happening at the present.

“Well yes the harsh environment up here can do wonders for training. You must be careful though, don’t push yourself too hard.” Davma said with a smile. He remembered that somebody had said that to him before but he couldn’t remember who it was. “Well since it seems that we are all here for training why don’t we all have a little session.” Davma said as he started to think. His body was starting to go back to normal and he could feel his body no longer screaming for release but screaming to be used again. “How about a little game of follow the leader?” Davma said looking to them all with a smile.

Amanda's reaction to third Jedi's appearance told Dain that he had not been expected. It was good to know that she hadn't missed any important information in her earlier daze. The healer's actions after she explained the reason for their trip were slightly confusing. The other woman turned to face Dain, but said nothing to indicate why. Was she making sure that the older woman was still present? Surely the sound of Dain's footsteps had been audible, sneaking away would have been quite a trick.

Shortly after the arrival of the third Jedi, they were joined by a forth person. His force aura was distorted at first, probably due to a force power, but he held no sign of aggression towards the small group, so Dain only shifted her position slightly to better hear his approach. At this point there was really no reason to reveal his presence to the others.

She didn't have to wait long for the forth man to do so. Stark was quick to introduce himself as soon as he was close enough, and identify them all by name. There was a slight warmth in her face at being called pretty. It was impossible for Dain to judge her own appearance, so what other people said was the only measuring stick she possessed in relation to her looks. The occasional compliment was really hard for the knight to ignore.

Dain's body language perked slightly when Master Hades mentioned a game. Physical activity would be more than welcome after her stay in the medical wards. Besides, light hearted play was her favorite way to interact with others. It was far easier to her than conversation. "In"

The Phantom Jedi

Atticus looked up as the snow crunched from Ado's feet moving. She gazed openly, not moving to meet his eyes but to hear better. Atticus realized she was blind. Atticus had learned as a padawan that a blind Jedi was as --or more-- effective as one who is not. This one especially seemed to know what she was doing when it came to the Force.

Atticus smiled at the offer of a game. "I haven't played a true game in years." He said. "Set the rules, and I'm up for anything." He looked around, scouting the area. Follow the leader? With Jedi, nothing is as simple as it sounds.

The mention of a game didn't seem to bring her as much interest as the other two that were present. Strange. She wondered if she'd taken a turn for the worst somewhere along her training road recently and could no longer feel happiness. For a moment she pondered it over in her mind. No, she was still happy but she was more focused now days, a Jedi Knight had duties and she was one of those that followed the Code so strictly that she was a lot more sacrificing of her own needs and wants for others than most of the Jedi were these days. She followed the old Code, they followed the new.

With a small smile she looked at the elder Jedi and shrugged lightly. "I guess it's majority vote on that game, what do you have in mind?"

Davma Hades

Davma smiled seeing that the others were willing to play the game. They all seemed excited for it in their own way except for the young woman Amanda, there was something about the air of her. Davma just shrugged it away deciding he would talk to her later about it, make sure that she was clear minded and okay. “Alright, so this is how it is going to work. It’s a very simple game really, you just have to follow me wherever I go. If I jump on a tree, you jump on that tree. If I jump down onto the ground and back onto another tree, you do the same.” He said and than a grin grew on his face. “And to make it more interesting the first one to catch me is the winner.” He said as he looked to them all.

“Lets begin!” Davma said with a laugh as he charged the force around his legs quickly and jumped up into the air landing on a thick branch above them. He turned to the other direction and pushed himself off the branch using the force to jump to the next branch and the next after that.
