Stava Mastery - Stava was a form of martial arts developed by the Noghri of Honoghr. It was named after a local predator. As a martial art, Stava was a very close-ranged art, fighters charging into tackles, throws, and full-arm body blows, using quick and deadly strikes when such techniques were ineffective. Kharn is a deadly practioner of Stava, and is more than willing to use his great strength to snap his opponent's spine should they get too close.

Appearance:

Kharn is an extremely stocky and short gray-skinned humanoid, standingly only four feet 8 inches tall and weighing in at 220lbs. His body is heavily muscled, with long powerful arms, broad shoulders with a barrel chest, and curiously shorter legs. However, it would be a mistake to underestimate the deadly Noghri Sith, as he is much stronger than a human, and posessed a natural level of reflexes and agility that border upon the unbelieveable, even without having to call upon the force. He wears a sleeveless robe of Tikulini hide and breaches. Forgoing any type of boot or glove to use his hooked claws to their fullest potential.

His powerful body lacks any sort of surface hair, and thanks to the heavy and bulging muscular it is readily apparent that he is physically very powerful, though the sinewy flexibility of his race is not quite as apparent.

His short height belie his ruthless nature and effective skill. Utimately, Kharn is a predator, with a powerful jaws filled with sharp teeth, large quick moving eyes, a sense of smell so developed that he can discern a person's blodline by scent alone, thick powerful fingers and toes with hooked claws, and a compact body and musclulature system that makes him a living, if compact, killing machine honed by nature to hunt and destroy prey with incredible natural killing prowess.

Possessions:
[1] Double Bladed Long Handled Lightsaber- The long-handle lightsaber was a variation on the traditional lightsaber featuring a handle several times longer than that of a standard lightsaber. With a deadly increase in range, this weapon was easy to swing around the body, using joints of the body as fulcrums upon which the lightsaber could be levered, providing a weapon that could be used in a variety of unorthadox ways. Kharn's particular weapon features a hilt machined of phrik that measures 3 feet in length, and features two blades. A single normal length blade as the 'primary blade' and a second shoto length blade as the secondary blade usually used as a surprise.

[2] Noghri Fighting Sickles- A ceremonial weapon favored by the Noghri, reguarded as a mark of honor as well as an excellently balanced weapon for hand-to-hand battle, featuring a rather long handle and relatively short blades with a curious forked almost jitte like shape. Noghri are renowned for their accuracy and skill when throwing these weapons. Kharn's phrik constructed fighting sickles are his 'backup' weapon for use in battle against a lightsaber wielding opponent.

[2] Simple Cortosis Vambrace- Rather simple forearm protection, though the right arm mounts a Vac Attack Mk-127. The Vac Attack Mk-127 was a blade launcher designed to be worn on the forearm, just behind the wrist. It shot three 3 centimeter-diameter circular blades in a high-speed spinning motion to literally rip a target apart.

[1] Verpine Shatterpistol- Verpine shatter guns were handheld projectile weapons produced by the Verpine. The weapon was based on a magnetic coil principle, similar to a rail gun. When shot, the weapon would make no sound, but would cause great kinetic damage. Shatter guns launched metal alloy projectiles using advanced magnetic coils. They were nearly silent, had excellent range and accuracy, and inflicted extremely large amounts of kinetic damage. Verpine shatter guns were easy to use, and an inexperienced gunman could do massive damage with a single projectile. As such they were sometimes favored by Assassins who wanted to make sure that one shot brought down the target without giving away his or her location.

Personality:
Ambitious to a fault, and cruel on a near pathological level Kharn comes across as delightfully eccentric and dangerously violent at the same time. Though it is somewhat sporadic as too which persona a given sentinent will divine first in a meeting with the nasty little Noghri Battlelord. Lower ranking Sith may question his strange eccentric behaviors, though the violent lengths he will go to have become something of legend among the Sith. In short he is a somewhat strange mix of many conundrums wrapped around a delightfully savage center. As a Noghri Kharn considers himself a true warrior and even in the midst of his strangest of eccentric oddities, will always have an air of control about himself. He is a Sith to the core, in that it is impossible to discern whether his actions carry a hint of truth, or are a cunning deception. Every move he makes or word he speaks is calculated to achieve a desired effect. Coniving and opportunistic he will never allow the circumstances, no matter how dire, to master him. Instead he will use his cunning and mastery of manipulation to manipulate those very circumstances as well as his opponent into revealing a critical weakness by ‘stacking the deck’ in any way possible. In this deadly game of mental cat and mouse he is completely determined and utterly deadly. He tirelessly maintains himself in top condition, and constantly seeks to improve his skills. He is so consumed in this desire for power that he tolerates only total perfection in his art. Kharn also possesses a terrible cunning, usually attempting to out think as well as outfight him opponents.

Too a man of Kharn's disposition, nothing is more important than the all important skills in combat, which he has spent a lifetime honing. The fact that he also excels so easily in all things martial, proves him to be a deadly advance opponent for the floundering Jedi Order. To his subordinates, he maintains a distant aura of uneasiness, as he is prone to shifting back and forth violently between his many mannerisms. While in combat he is constantly analyzing and expressing his findings upon his opponent's particular style or using their movements as a means to predict their emotional and mental state at the time, proving without a doubt the great intelligence within. All in all he is the consummate warrior, striving for improvement in all areas. Kharn is a tactical master, taking every advantage offered him and seeking to create more. He'll accomplish this by taunting his foe into anger and mistakes. Kharn is also a very fast learner which he uses in conjunction with analytical skill to utterly dismantle the maneuvers and skill of his opponents in combat. Breaking down their maneuvers, refining the motion, and then either adapting or improving it to match him own desires. Because of this he is confident that he will easily prove to all that he is one of the most dangerous beings of his time.

All in all Kharn seems a sort of odd duck for a Sith, he is at once almost completely random in the face he shows those around him, something of an eccentric character actor intent on playing games with those around himself. And yet at the same time he desires total control, having sacrificed everything else in the pursuit of total mastery of mind and body, making his odd mannerisms and shifting emotional and psychological climate either the ultimate form of deception to those around him, or a case in which his own desire for perfect control has warped his own mind. In any case this volatile Noghri uses his deadly skills to turn any event into an advantage on a physical, mental, or psychological level. The sheer randomness coupled with his adaptive character make him a fighter that is almost impossible to predict. Should one be prepared to fight on the same level as the deadly Battlelord then the true challenge begins, as it is nearly impossible to get a handle on the particular state of Kharn's being. He frequently goes from point to point on the mental spectrum, at times seeming sincere, laconic, eccentric, cruel, and occasionally downright odd. Because of his position and him skill at arms, his confidence borders on pathological, thought it can be argued that this is simply another weapon in his arsenal, as he is not above baiting an opponent into attacking before realizing his cocky demeanor masks a supremely deadly fighter within.

History:
Beyond the rim of civilization lies the darkness of the vast unexplored areas of space. With barely a fraction of a percent of space explored, who knows what lies beyond this boundry between the lights of civilization and the darkness of the mysterious unknown? Amidst that vast and uncharted area lays a void of darkness, not stemming from any planetary or spatial border, but rather from the remnants of a long forgotten race. For in this sea of stars lie the legacy of The Sith. Not the order so known for its battles with the Jedi after the great Battle of Russan, no something far more primal far more insidious in its all consuming pervasiveness. Our story begins millinia ago, obscured amongst the shifting sands of time, thousands of years before the rise of the modern day Sith Order, during a time when the Jedi had not yet emmerged as Champions of the Force. During these primeval times, their lived a strange primitive race on a previously uncharted world called Korriban. Humanoid in appearance with distinctive tentacle like "beards", this species' name would go down in history as the most vile force using group to ever exist.

They were called The Sith, and they thrived on their planet, building a civilization that was primitive in nature. Despite existing in a state of near constant warfare, they carved a rather sophisticated civilization. Separated into a rigid caste system, and partaking in what most "civilized" races would consider barbaric rituals, this rather stratified culture existed in a state of self imposed ignorance for milinia. Chronicles in the Jedi History tell us that the fate of this simple race was forever altered by the appearance of Dark Jedi Exiles, who would come to Korriban and use their mastery of the force to elevate themselves to the position of Gods...

However, our particular story begins at a far earlier chapter, long before the formation of either the Jedi Order or the Galactic Republic. It was during these times, before recorded history, that the dastardly Rakata would lay siege to Korriban. These Masters of The Infinite Empire moved like locusts, conquering world after world through the use of their unique force powered machines. However, The Sith would stave off their invasion, rallying under the banner of the fabled Sith'ari. A black skinned Sith who claimed the title of Sith Lord, or Sith'ari, and led his people in battle against the invaders. After the defeat of the Rakata, The Sith'ari was struck a mortal blow, and died. What would follow was a civil war, as many factions would rise to claim the title of Sith'ari. Faced with the desolation of their world, The Sith were forced to transport their entire race to nearby ziost, using the primitive hyper drive technology that had been salvaged from the Rakatan war machines.

With the extinction of the Sith in the known galaxy assured, In the eyes of the Galactic Republic, the strange race of red humanoids were gone forever, driven to extinction. However, this was untrue as the Sith would not would not die out, per-say, as they would continue to exist in the ideals of the Dark Side Sect that would take its tenants from the dark race. The war between the light and the dark would reach a boiling fervor as Exar Kun, Revan, and Malak would emerge in short order, nearly bringing the Republic and the Galaxy to their knees. However, the same relentless infighting that did so much to strengthen the Sith would again prove their downfall and the mighty Sith forces would crumble in defeat.

However even in defeat, evil never dies... The legacy of the Sith would live on, waiting in the darkness and biding their time as they rebuilt the shattered tatters of their order on far away Lehon.

When Darth Revan and Darth Malak explored the vast Unknown Regions, they would come into contact with the remnants of The True Sith, their they would be corrupted and would eventually return to the known galaxy as ruthless Sith Lords. This fit perfectly into the plans of the Sith'ari, or Lord of the Sith, as he would use the two former Jedi to cripple the Republic, and then attack the weakened side. However, these well laid plans would not bloom to fruitition.

Their, amidst the black of space, these shadows of an evil so far beyond the comprehension of even the most hardened of the now war knowledged Jedi begin to stir. However, invasion was still to risky at this point, the stage must still be carefully set...

49 years before the present, on the planet Honoghr, their was born a child to the Bakh'tor Clan. This babe, named Kharn, was to heir to the legacy of the clan, destined to one day take his father’s place and become a Noghri Warlord to lead his clan into battle with the rival neighboring clans. His childhood was spent under the ruthless training regime of Noghri weapon-masters, through rod and lash he was pushed to the brink of torture, and finally beyond. White hot agony would become his friend, and the child would grow in his abilities until he became a master of his own pain. Like all Noghri, he was instructed for countless hours in the use of the ritual fighting cycles, having the lessons of warfare beaten into both mind and body, fashioning him into a living weapon, a veritable combat machine consisting of powerful muscles and combat manuevers engrained into the fast twitch nervous system. This child, was carefully groomed to be a pitiless fighter and deadly tactitian, and for all intents and purposes it would seem that he was a born natural.

At the age of 16 he slew his own father in a brutal fight that would last hours, finally snapping his spine with a stava grappling maneuver. With his father’s death Kharn had no problem assuming control of the Bakh'tor Clan, thus cementing his fast growing reputation as a ruthless warlord in the blood of his own father’s broken corpse. His roving bands of warriors ravaged the surface of Honoghr, pillaging and killing their sworn enemy clans and all the while increasing the blood soaked reputation of Kharn, firmly placing the young Noghri youth as one of the most feared Warlords on all of Honoghr. So great was his reputation, that it drew the eyes of the Sith. Taking a liking for the brutal methods of the Noghri, that one of the mysterious Lords of the Sith would come in the dead of night, and offer the young force sensative Nagai power beyond his wildest dreams if he would only kneel before the Sith and pledge his loyalty.

Faced with an opponent he stood no chance of defeating, Kharn would accept the offer of discipleship, and Darth Kruhl was born. Kruhl would initialy not understand the surtitle ‘Darth’. However, his Master the mysterious and secret shrouded figure who malevolently refered to himself as The Sith'ari would explain the meaning to him, revealing that the origins of the title came from the language of the hated Rakata. Darr meaning conquer or triumph, and tah meaning death. Thus Darth could be interpreted as either "Triumph over death" or Triumph through death", meaning that by taking such a title, A Sith Lord becomes the very avatar of the immortal darkness. Humbled by this knowledge, Kruhl began his studies at the foot of The Sith'ari

The great one trained many besides Kruhl, and these young would be Sith Lords existed in a constant state of battle, fighting against one another to survive, and to receive studies from their master. While skilled in the use of the blades, Kruhl was largely untrained in the use of the force, however he did posses a natural flair for malice, and many of his fellow students would fall to his pelko venom coated swords fighting sickles. Through tenacity and unrelenting ambition he would spend 20 years learning the secrets of the Dark Side, becoming a true Sith in more than name. His master, the would be Sith'ari would spend hours talking to the young Noghri of the galaxy and the ‘pretender’ Sith and their ilk, those who had strayed away from the 'true teachings' of the Sith. His master would reveal the origins of the name Sith'arai, the chosen savior of the Sith who would arise to conquer the galaxy under the banner of the Sith once and for all, an ancient prophecy that this man had come to believe in.

Through the years Kruhl came to understand that his master had embraced this path after finding the ruins of the long dead True Sith, who after vanishing into the darkness of space had snuffed themselves out through simple infighting. Recognizing the power of the ancient teachings, he had learned all that he could before bestowing the title Sith’ari upon himself. Seeing his master for the fool that he was, and secure that he would soon be prepared to strike Kharn resolved to take his master’s head, and the title Sith’ari for himself when he could learn no more. Thus he was called upon to learn the most difficult of lessons for any Sith, the lesson of patience. Rather than engage the would be Sith’ari now, he must wait until he has wrung every bit of useful information from the wretch, only then cracking open his skull. During this time, Kruhl began a comprehensive study of the Republic and the current affairs of the galaxy, something that his isolated species had come into little contact with. Steadily focused upon his goals, and with his ambition tempered by the promise of the gains to come, Kruhl worked to complete his apprenticeship.

In the end Kharn slew his master, striking him down in a 'friendly' excersize. Outfitting himself in his fallen master's distinctive battle robes, and embarking in his Surronian Conqueror-class Assault Ship, the stage was set for Kruhl to bring a new era in the millinia long battle between Jedi and Sith. Silently he headed into the known galaxy, seeking the Sith he had been told of. He sought to decide their power on his own, rather than listen to the words of the man who had been his Master. Having usurped the title of ‘Sith’ as well as ‘Sith’ari’ from his former master, Kharn now almost exclusively going by the name Darth Kruhl, would be free to decide for himself whether or not the slander of the so called "Sith'ari" had been well founded. The sudden arival of the Noghri Warlord turned Sith amidst the fractured peace between the Jedi, and Sith seemed little more than a ripple across the expanse of the galaxy. Quickly finding the petty infighting of the Sith to be tedious, he quickly established himself as a powerful master, before returning to Honoghr to form a cadre of Noghri warriors in preparation of the battles to come. With the rise of Darth Terminus, and his abrupt disappearance shortly thereafter Kruhl has once again returned to Korriban to see what will become of the Sith. It remains to be seen what he plans to do upon arrival, though should the Sith finally be prepared to put aside their stupid squabbles, perhaps the time for a triumph of darkness over light through the leadership of a certain Noghri Warlord is fast approaching?

History
The ship of Kharn's former master, taken after the Noghri Warlord slew him in single combat. Rare in the galaxy, the product of the secretive Surronian Hive Guilds, the Conqueror-class is rarely seen in outsider's hands. Just how the ill fated master got ahold of this ship is unknown, however the craftsmanship is well appreciated, and Kharn has many modifcations in mind.

The ship is 28 meters long. It requires at least a crew of 1, but optimally 2. It can carry a single passenger, 1 month's worth of consumables, and 25 metric tons of cargo, though this cargo space can be converted into a makeshift cabin for long voyages.

The craft can achieve 1,000 kph. It has a Class 1 hyperdrive and a Class 10 backup.

This particular ship is shielded, with a double laser cannon turret and 2 forward fire-linked ion cannons. For emergencies, it has a single escape pod.
