IC Info: Name: Sakura Atvar Alias/Nickname: N/A Age: 25 Gender: Female Species: Human Faction: Sith Rank: Sith Warrior Homeplanet: Metellos
Force Sensitive: yes Force Powers:
Telekinesis: moderate Telepathy: moderate Force concealment: moderate Life drain: moderate Force speed: beginner Dominate mind: beginner Force barrier: beginner Force sight: beginner
Appearance: Sakura stands shorter than most Sith at 5’3” and is quite slim in figure. She walks with cautious, careful gait, as if she were expecting to step on a land mine. Sakura is surprising quite fast and acrobatic form someone of her form, which often surprises those around her. Her skin is a dark bronze color and is unmarked by scars or disfigurements. Sakura’s hair is dark black and cut short usually around three or four inches. Her eyes are a jade green, which are constantly moving about in their sockets.
Sakura is not up to date with galactic fashion and wears an onyx colored environmental suit. The suit itself functions as a light armor, though heavy armor is attached to her wrists and shoulders. The helmet seems somewhat bulbish like the head of a Mon calamari. It has one straight lined visor running across it. The helmet itself contains a vision-plus scanner to enhance Sakura’s eyesight. It also contains a speech scrambler, which allows her to mimic a wide range of voices. A dark brown utility belt is worn across her waist, which holds her light saber, blaster, and comlink.
Possessions: Blaster: A S-5 heavy blaster pistol Lightsaber: Unlike most Sith Sakura chose to forgo the traditional blade colors and instead wields an emerald colored blade. The hilt is all black and covered in a handgrip. Comlink
Personality: Sakura can be described as meek and superficially polite. She refers to herself as “this one” and always refers to others by their titles or formal names. She is extremely stoic always speaking in a monotone and displaying a dispassionate expression. She finds it difficult to converse with most people due to her own poor social skills and general lack of empathy. She operates on a deterministic and amoral outlook. For her nothing matters but the ends and she will perform whatever actions are needed to reach those ends regardless the cost. Nothing is sacred to her and the only goal that matters is that the Sith order is furthered.
Though normally Sakura has the same ability to feel emotions as a rock, when she does, she becomes what a psychological expert would define as “bat shit crazy”. With the onset of any emotion, whether it is anger, happiness, sadness, or anything else, Sakura begins to suffer from a psychological breakdown. This breakdown occurs in four stages. The first stage consists of her becoming energetic, confident, and developing a childlike sense of humor. This stage develops quickly usually a few hours after exposure to any emotional stimuli and lasts for a period of roughly twenty-four hours. This is then replaced by the second stage of the syndrome, which lasts only for seven hours. This stage involves her losing the positive emotions of the last stage is replaced by emotional unstableness. Sakura is subject to varying fits of rage and depression often lashing out at anyone in proximity.
The third stage causes her to have a deep paranoia to set in making her believe that everyone around her is out to kill her. She also begins to suffer from hallucinations, this stage usually lasts anywhere from twenty to forty hours. The fourth and final stage is when Sakura becomes violent. She begins to act on her paranoid delusions in what she believes to be self-defense. After the first few murders her psyche begins to validate her desire for killing by manifesting auditory delusions; put simply, to her it will fell as if it were the force that was prompting her to kill. Besides the voices in her head she also begins to hear footsteps follow, in her mental state she assumes these footsteps to be some sort of force spirit following her. This stage lasts anywhere from seventy-two to one hundred and twenty hours. Afterwards her mind begins to slowly recover and her mind represses much of the events of the syndrome, which has resulted her being ignorant of the syndrome.
History: Her father, if you could call him that, was Giles Atvar. He was a wealthy businessperson who had owned the majority shares in several companies in the Republic’s military industrial complex. He was deeply worried about the rise of several reformists factions gaining power on the planet and how their public policies would influence his investments as well as his own political ties on Metellos. Giles was what most people would call a honest and legitimate war profiteer, meaning he had engaged in several underhanded techniques to make the economic policy of Metellos favorable to his investments. These included bribery, blackmail, and even outright threats. As the old guard lost power on his world and the loyal opposition became the victorious opposition. Giles gathered with several other prominent members of industry and a few of the old politicians who had either been in their pockets or where hard lined ideologues. They came up with a plan to oust the general government by framing the reformist bloc for an arson attack on the capital building.
In the middle of the night the nearest fire station received several calls that the capital building was on fire. The fire started in the Lower Session Chamber, and, by the time the police and firefighters had arrived, the main Chamber of Discourse was engulfed by flames. Once the flames were extinguished a search was conducted by the police and the charred remains of Kazdan Septimus. Septimus was a representative of one of the more radical reformist factions. The preservationist and reactionary factions jumped at the chance to implicate their political opponents as enemies of the state. The radical reformists were ousted from their seats and many of the mainstream reformers were politically pressured to support the denouncement of their former colleagues. The preservation and reactionary alliance now had a majority in the planetary government and began to place their party members in important governmental positions.
This provoked a counter response from the radicals and the few mainstream reformists who had not surrendered to the will of the now ruling coalition. They launched several protests around the planet which the ruling coalition described as insurrectionist. The protests were broken up and the reactionary-preservationist bloc was able to consolidate its power fully with the next elections which removed any of the opposition. Giles Atvar and his companions could not have been more pleased. Though the joyous celebrations did not last long. Without any external or internal enemy the former allies began to turn on one another in attempt to gather even more political power.
In order to safeguard himself and his financial empire Giles purchased the assistance of several well-respected geneticists to create a set of augmented children. These children would not be descended from their father’s genetic code but rather would be the product of the augmentation and combination of several genomes. These children were to be raised as warriors who would defend their father against the any potential threats. Thus, much of their genome came from a variety of force users.
The children were for the first four years of their life raised in pleasant conditions. They were tutored and cared for by a variety of nanny droids and had access to all the privileges that came from living in one of Metellos’s floating cities.
When the nine children turned five years though they were moved to a more secure location. Specifically a converted asteroid mine in the mid rim. There they were trained under the most brutal and harshest of methods. The children were routinely tortured and psychologically broken down in order to try to break down any individuality and build them into a selfless superhuman. Asides from the torture sessions the children were barbaric often using thirst or hunger as training incentives. Though none of the children died, they would come out of the training scarred. Their teachers were mostly sun guards and various force users who turned their talents towards a criminal career. Despite the lack of formalized training the torture and genes of the children gave them exceptional force abilities. As the children’s 15th birthday rolled around, they were nearing the end of their training regiment.
Their trainers had captured several slaves and had the children execute them, hunt them, torture them, and destroy them completely and utterly. It ate away at the minds of the children and caused four of them, including Sakura to become psychologically unstable. It would have been more prudent to just kill the children, chalk them up as failures, but Giles Atvar did not do so. He ignored the advice of the children’s trainers and the medical staff he had assigned to the project. He wanted a dynasty, a pantheon of demigods. He had the four children simply sedated with various drugs and lightened their training by a few degrees. The four children held for a time but eventually they began to decline psychologically again. Giles denied the evidence in front of his face for the next two years unwilling to simply dispose of an investment in which he had poured literally billions of credit into. This would prove to be a mistake that would lead to his savage death.
Two years later the children who still had minds that were intact escaped from their cells and began on to go on a killing spree. As clichéd as it sounds they wanted revenge. As they made their way to their father they encountered heavy resistance and the asteroid was plunged into chaos. In the resulting anarchy, the four addled children managed to gain freedom from their cells. They set upon both their own siblings and their father’s men like wild animals. Eventually Sakura was the only left standing and she began to search for any survivors in the asteroid in order to liberate them from the human condition, by force. Eventually she found her father trying to escape from the doomed asteroid. Sakura in her addled state decided that her breaking every bone in her father’s body one at a time would please the voice insider her head. Luckily, for Giles the voice grew bored and was no longer amused by Sakura breaking her father’s bones, thus she simply finished him off. Once she was finished, the voice guided her to the escape pods and she jettisoned leaving the now damaged asteroid to drift in the airless void undisturbed.
A few days later Sakura’s addled mind began to recover and was able to piece itself back together. She unconsciously suppressed the memories of her escape and built a personality, if you could call it that, which would reduce the possibility of a resurgence of her mental disorders. She was eventually rescued by a trading vessel. The vessel was commanded by a Twi-lek captain who had originally suggested leaving Sakura where they found her but the captain was overruled by her two human crewman. The copilot was quite pleased with the outcome finding Sakura’s company enjoyable. Of course, he was only a few years older than she was and took an interest in any female close to his age. Sakura did not return the feelings initially and would spend most of her time alone. Eventually though through sheer persistence the young copilot broke through Sakura’s emotional barriers, which lead to the syndrome resurfacing and Sakura killing the small crew of the freighter. Eventually she recovered and spent the next year as a galactic vagrant simply drifting along the currents of life. After time passed though she was tracked down by a Sith recruiter.
Sakura was not immediately well received by her fellow Sith initiates. Her lack of emotion was seen as weakness and her lack of personal desire lead many of the stronger initiates to fight over like a piece of property. Because of Sakura's "doormat" behavior, other students tended to project their wants or desires onto her, and she was always the target of their eventual rage. Eventually in order to try to gain the attention of the Sith masters she and her current "owner" were recruited by four other students to assist in the gathering of artifacts from one of the many tombs on the planet. Unfortunately for the students they sprang one of the tomb's booby traps. The entrance to the temple became blocked and they were trapped within it. Surprisingly the Sith students did not immediately start killing each other off, rather instead they just attempted to work together at escaping the tomb. Of course within an hour they began to fall prey to personal bickering as they were unable to figure out anyway to escape the tomb. Sakura became the scapegoat for the group. They blamed her for their entrapment and most likely would have killed her if not for her owner's extreme possessivness. Still their verbal and physical abuse began to wear on her and she finally began to shed tears. The group was shocked, but satisfied, by Sakura's emotional display and began to return to the task of trying to escape what looked like to become their graves.
Sakura again began to feel the affects of the syndrome. She began to make fun of the other's frustration and inability to escape. When her owner retaliated with physical abuse she again simply laughed and criticized the beating as a 'silly game'. Hours passed and the group was still no closer to freedom. Sakura meanwhile began to enter the second stage of the syndrome. She began to slash at the walls of the tomb with her lightsaber in a fit of rage. The others were deeply disturbed by her emotional disturbance and gave her a wide berth believing that she just needed to let out all the pent up aggression they thought must reside in her. As Sakura entered the third stage she overheard the others discussing the small amount of food and water they had brought with them. Her addled mind made it seem as if she would be the first victim in a cannibalistic feast. As her mind tried to decide wether she should try and pre-emptively attack them or wether the tomb was playing tricks on her mind. Sakura descended further into madness as the others avoided her. She saw this as proof that her thoughts were not just simple paranoia but a representation of the truth.
The others finally decided that it would be best if they tried to disarm and tie Sakura up in for both their and her safety. Sakura overheard their plans and this stimuli provoked the onset of the fourth stage of the syndrome. She began her attack while they rest were sleeping. Her first victim was her owner who had become the defacto leader of the petite group of students. She slit her owner's throat with her emerald colored blade and this woke up the others immediately. The other students immediately awoke to the sound of a lightsaber activation and saw Sakura standing over the decapitated body of her owner. Sakura held the held in her hand laughing in triumphant Three of the students fled from Sakura's crazed form while the last one simply activated his lightsaber. The blades clashed filling the dusty room with bright red and green light. Sakura won the duel mostly due to fact that her opponents' mind was still caught in the fog of sleep. She then began to hunt down the other three students in the tomb encouraged by the voices in her head which she rationalized were the spirits of the tomb. The other three were scared out of their wits thinking that Sakura had stumbled upon some ancient artifact and was now being possessed by an ancient Sith spirit.
After killing them Sakura was left in the final stage of the syndrome without any potential victims. This caused the voices inside her head to become quite angry at the lack of sacrifices they were receiving. Thus while she did have to feed on some of the bodies for nourishment she mostly used the remains to decorate the temple. She highlight specific glyphs on the wall with blood and arranged their bones in rough imitations of local fauna. Eventually her mind returned to normal and Sakura simply rationalized that one of the students had simply gone mad and killed the others, before being dispatched by her. Which had some semblance of the truth to it. When the recovery team arrived a few days later they found Sakura her usual emotionless self surrounded by the corpses of the others.
She was brought back to academy and put under the tutelage of an elderly Sith master. Her master was a fire breathing, venom spitting, villain who found her passionless demeanor to be an affront to the Sith code. As Sakura's abilities continued to grow, he saw her less as an affront and more as a perversion or abomination. Unlike other Sith whose force presence could be described as something akin to a star going nova Sakura’s presence is the opposite of that. It is like a black hole, a void that seems to swallow up everything near it. Sakura’s presence began to unnerve him, disturb him, and maybe even frighten him. Despite this, he continued to train her and found a useful resource. As the war finally began, he joined the effort to purge the Jedi from the galaxy and took Sakura along with him. They mostly participated in raids and scouting missions during the war. As the war went along Sakura’s master finally started to succumb to his age. He eventually got sloppy and ended up getting wounded while retreating to the pickup point. Sakura saw that her master would not be able to move on his own will and she would not be able to make it to the pickup point if she tried to carry him there. Thus she took the most utilitarian course of action and killed her master to avoid capture by republic forces. When she returned to Korriban she found out about the news of the dark lord's death.

After reading your profile I have to say that I like the unique approach it has to your character, very interesting. However there are some issues, perhaps the key of which right now is the History. You mention that her "father" was worried about the Empire, the Republic actually hasn't known about the Empire for very long. In the backstory the attack the Republic and Jedi launched was quick, only about a year or two after they found out about the new Sith and the Empire and since this is set with the rebuilding after the effects of that attack, all those years ago when she was created there wouldn't have been any Empire or really any Sith either to worry the galaxy.

I changed the history aroudn a bit to fix the errors in the history section. I also expanded it a bit more to better show how her mental problem operates. Though please tell me if anything else needs to be fixed.
