Mandalorian woman huh? She considered this with a small smile, it was nice at least to be considered possible of being as much of a warrior. In her own way she was, but really a Manalorian woman would be better than her in combat situations, if she didn't use the Force. Carefully she watched Zero turn down treatment for his own injury, which made her want to enforce it, but unlike him with his superiority and strength she didn't really have any way of enforcing it. So instead she stayed quiet until he helped her up to her feet again and complimented her about being tough which really did make her smile.
"No need to ask," Estarra assured him with a smile, it was almost insane to think she'd just walk away now, after everything so far she was hooked in. "Besides, shade from the twin suns is that way." She pointed towards the door and then dropped her hand to her blaster and as he sprinted off she took her blaster out and checked the charge and status of the weapon. Slipping that back she grabbed her other out and checked it over much the same. Best to check these things before launching into a battle.
By the time she raised her eyes another Mandalorian was her companion, this time a woman with her helmet clipped to her belt. Her comment and smile brought one in response from Estarra. In the past she would have been fearful and quick to attack a Mandalorian warrior, and now she really saw them for the people they were. How strange, but another thing that benefited her life since choosing to turn her back on both the Jedi and Sith teachings. Apparently the benefits wouldn't stop coming, though she knew it would always keep her on her toes to stay away from the eyes of each faction, the Mandalorians were usually the kind of people to stay well away from Jedi and Sith affairs.
The woman's other comment made Estarra blush, she couldn't help it, but since the clothe covered her face it hid most of it from view, and the rest could have just been from the heat or sun burn. At least she hoped the warrior woman hadn't noticed. With the explosion any reply disappeared, instead drawing her blue eyes to the assault and she quickly took her blasters, one in each hand and hurried after them, eager to do her bit. Given the situation she decided that she'd use the Force to help, if only just a little, but kept herself concealed from being sensed by any other sensitives.

Mara stayed with Estarra, as she had said, her natural skills were nearly useless in close combat. However though, she could still watch over her new comrade with her blaster carbine. Shouldering her rifle, she took her secondary weapon in her one hand and pulled a small cantina of water. “Here, drink up.” Mara said, offering the water. “We’ll wait here till the others create a secure zone. Once you see Rico and the others go in, we can.” Mara explained. Watching the opening as she frowned, those were a massive amount of bolts coming out. “Damn, I hope didn’t take too long to let then set up a proper defense…” she muttered.
Inside it was hell, but Fi pop another smoke further in so the three could move up, while the fire coming at them was large, the fire being put out by Fordo alone was just as large. His LS-150 mowed down anything at waist level with its wielder. To stay safe, Fi and Zero stayed a step behind the largest of the team and picked off anything that was lit up in shades of Red and Orange in their visors. It didn’t take long for three mandalorains to silence the untrained thugs they were fighting. “Clear?” Zero asked the three. “Clear” “Clear, Alorir.” The two said. “Good job Fire teams, move forward, Rico, Alana, Jasmine, Kote, follows up and hold here.” Zero ordered as the three moved up.
“Frak. It looks like they left us a path, Zero. I don’t like this, not at all.” Fordo said as he reloaded his heavy weapon, prepping for their next engagement. “Yeah… not good, too open…” Zero commented and held his MAR closer and tighter to his shoulder.
Once word came down, Rico and the three others rushed in Mara smirked. “By the ancestors, Zero really wants to get that mask back in Mandalorian hands.” Mara said, and then turned to Estarra. “Come on vod'ika, we’re going in.” the sniper added just before she threw her helmet back on as she started for the door.

Just as they made it to the hidden stairwell Runi heard the blaster fire stop. He pulled Squibs up short. Holding onto the Rodian's arm, the alien was so terrified that he didn't even attempt to resist, he made his way back. Peeking around the corner he saw the group of mandalorians and another woman. The leader was the one he was interested in. But how to get his message across?
He stepped fully into view and turned the external speaker system on his armor to the max. He conveniently left Squibs out of sight. "Ni ceta vod. Me'copaani is su echoy'la. (Sorry brother. What you want is still lost)" With a casual wave and a nod he threw in "See you at the bottom." And ducked back out of sight.
"What was that all about Skirata?" "Just a little casual banter. Said some choice words about his mother." "Well you should focus more one keeping me alive!" Runi gritted his teeth. For now at least.
When they got to the hidden door Squibs pressed a seemingly meaningless patch of wall and a hidden door swung open out of what appeared to be solid rock. All this but he couldn't make the elevator go straight down. Runi thought with a slight shake of the head. Squibs went through first with Runi following him. He grabbed the handle on the inside of the door and pulled it almost all the way closed then hurried after Squibs.
And once again Runi's luck became shaky. In the dim light the alloys of Runi's armor made him nearly invisible, even without his cloaking device. So Cracker didn't know at first that he was behind Squibs. It was a well known fact that Trandoshans can see into the infra red spectrum of light. So while Cracker lay in wait at the bottom of the stairs and off to the side, all he could see was the glow of someone approaching. But Squibs had to trip at the bottom. The axe swing that was meant for his head missed him completely and, Runi being on a higher step, caught the young mando full in the stomach. Where was the Force on that one?! Runi thought as his body reeled. His beskar'gam, the pride and culmination of years of work, held. But it was still like getting hit by a speeder. He slammed down on his back onto the stairs behind him causing him even more pain. He gritted his teeth and didn't make a sound. He was mad now........

Estarra gritted her teeth, when she was a part of something she wanted to be one of the ones rushing head first into a situation, not waiting behind the others. Still she knew better, she didn't have the armor they did which made it more reasonable they go first, she'd have to rely too much on the Force if she were up front and it would become a little too obvious. So she had to bite her tongue and just stay there with the female mandalorian warrior. At least she wasn't expected to stay out of it entirely but she was still a little put out.
She saw Rico and the others go in and immediately looked to the woman, who was putting her helmet back on, the word used for Estarra she didn't know but she was fairly sure it was a friendly one. Quick and eager, light on her feet she went by the side of the mandalorian woman and approached the door. Peering within, her eyes having to adjust to the less light within than what the twin suns provided and the sand also helped to maintain.
Stepping inside she pressed her back to the wall, peering down cautiously and watching the mandalorian warriors ahead of her, how they moved and reacted as a team. She was in the wrong place really, but she'd do her best. Holding her blasters tightly in her grasp. Then something hit her, anger in the Force a jolt and she gasped without meaning to. Quickly she tried to block it from her mind, block from her mind the other sensitive, wherever the person was. He wouldn't be able to feel her because of her concealment but she could still feel him, and it was distracting, potentially fatal if she didn't block it.

Zero simply shook his head as Runi spoke, needless to say he was past the point of just plain mad, Zeronen was simply pissed off “Damnit!” he yelled, but on one could hear him as he killed the Comms in his helmet. By the time he looked up Runi was gone. Zero activated the Comms again and focused on Fi’s headset. “Follow him Fi,” Zero said. Fi simply nodded and took off around the corner after Runi to watch his back.
With Fi off to follow Runi, Zero motioned for Jasmine to move up. The Red armored female took up Fi position along the wall on the other side of Zero and Fordo. Slowly the three warriors moved up, though they had excellent vision in the darkness with their HUDs, they were still out numbered.
Behind them Mara, Rico, and Alana were huddled near a computer terminal, Rico watched the front while Mara covered the rear. Alana was working her intellectual magic as she sliced her way into the bases systems, by-pass most of the vital stuff, but downloaded sensor data to send off to the rest of them team. Also she downloaded a manifest of their stockpiles and holdings; she wanted to be sure this wasn’t a wild goose chase or rotten luck. “Come on, come on, where are you hiding you bloody hunk of metal...” she said, referring to the mask of Mandalore, they wanted… no, they NEEDED that thing.
Meanwhile, Fi was sticking to the shadows, using his black armor to its fullest. As Runi and his ‘boss’ went into the secret door, Fi followed silently. Moving slowly so to avoid any unneeded sound, but when Runi was slammed with something, Fi moved quickly, Jumping over Runi and stepping on Squibs as he slammed the full force of his combined 275 lbs into his fellow Mandalorains attacker. “Bad move, Lizard face!” Fi said through his helmets spears as he brought the butt of his weapon down on the Trandos muzzle. It likely wouldn’t be enough, but even a bone head like a Trandoshan would feel it.

Cracker stumbled back, the blow to his snout disoriented him and made him shake his head to clear the spots. He roared as he raised his axe but Runi was back up and moving. And he was pissed of.
The trandoshan raised his axe again and roared a challenge. In response he caught a set of blast bolts in the chest. His body armor and thick scales protected him from harm but the impact still wobbled him. Another blaster bolt hit the raised axe and made the trando wobble back further. And a flying kick sent him sprawling onto his back.
"You scaly piece of osik! You hit me with a kriffking axe!"
His pistol was holstered as he jumped on top of the trandoshan and kneeled on his arms. His own body weight on the joints of the elbows pinned the arms down and he began raining punches down on the trandoshans face, with the vibroblades in his knuckle plates extended. Punches to the throat and eyes punched through vital areas leaving fatal wounds and spraying blood all over his armor. But the battle lust had him in its grip and even after the corpse underneath him had stopped moving he was still punching.
In the ruckus Squibs had gotten back to his feet and was trying to sneak around the scene of carnage. The crunch of boot on stone though got Runi's attention and his head jerked around like a predator who scented blood. Squibs let out a shriek of alarm but Runi was on him before he had taken a whole three steps. He spun him around and held onto his should with his left hand while his right cocked back to deliver one of those deadly punches as he growled out "Where's the damned mask?" Squibs, instead of lying, just began shaking his head and releasing low moans. And thats when the memory flashed in Runi's head. Of the dropped box and the edge of a metal object poking out. An object with eyeholes.
His hand flashed forward but the blade parted only the leather of Squibs bag and not his trachea. And sure enough among the gyms and credits that spilled out, as well as a couple datapads that probably contained highly incriminating information, there was the box. As soon as it hit the ground It popped open and there it was. The Mask of Mandalore. Runi didn't bother to pick it up. Bringing his fist up in an uppercut he burried his blade in Squibs chin and sent the body flying backwards. His usefulness had ended.
Months of undercover work over in an instant. Runi suddenly felt hollow again. Like the act he had been portraying had been keeping him from dwelling on his all to recent past. and now that it was over, now that the blood was dripping from his armor and the adrenaline was starting to ebb; he realized that now he was once again at square zero. He had no real idea where to go or what to do with himself. "Grab the mask Fi. Let's get back to the others."

Fi watched as Runi literally beat the life out of the Trandoshan in frenzy of blood lust. He also stood back as Runi turned on Squibs just as quickly. “Bloody hell…” was all Fi muttered as he watched the carnage unfold. He had always known Runi was tough, but he never saw the young man as a potential killing machine. “Umm Zeronen, I’d say its time to regroup. We got the mask.” Fi said as he picked up the metallic Mask of Mandalore. “Good job Fi, Let Runi know he did good,” Zero replied over the comm. Fi had to admit this was a novelty of a by gone era, but it still held a lot of sway over those who’d want to claim the title of Mandalore for themselves. ‘Two years for this old thing, I hope it’s worth it Zeron’ika” Fi told himself mentally, but turned hi attention to Runi. “Hey Run’ika, You did a good job, clean kills. Are you going to be okay, vod?” Fi asked while looking at the blood stained warrior before walking back up the stairs, patting the younger warrior his back on the way up. Nothing else needed to be said from him.
Upstairs Zero signled the others, giving a general order fall back and regroup with the rest of the team. Zero, Fordo and Jasmine disengaged contact and moved back down the hall to meet up with Rico and the other near the main door. When Zero and his team got there the others were waiting. “Got it?” Rico asked, Zero nodded, “Fi and Runi are on there way with the Mask.” Zero informed and removed his helmet. “I hate this planet.” Zero muttered under his breath. IT was too hot and a down right cesspit of a world. Pulling a Cantin from his belt he quickly down three big gulps of fresh water before he lower it from his mouth. “Only one thing left to do before we leave this cesspit and that’s to skin a kriffking hutt alive.” He said just loud enough for those closest to him to hear.

Apparently this really wasn't her kind of fight. Estarra was little to no help after all, particularly in the back and she tried to keep herself safe so she could at least avoid being any extra burden to the Mandalorians as they tried to find what they were after and fought for the right to do so. She kept tabs on the female Mandalorian she had entered with, making a mental note to stick by her and stay safe that way. This was at least the right way to go, since the other woman wasn't one of the forward shooters it kept Estarra in relative safety.
She saw one of the other Mandalorians go after someone but she couldn't really get a good glimpse or tell what was happening. Technically she was beginning to feel she would be better help outside, watching out for any incoming trouble. The thought made her edgy and she checked outside with the Force but didn't get any warnings of impending danger. That was something. Part of her wondered where her old companion had disappeared to. A cold shiver ran down her spine at the thought of his betrayal and the possibility of what would have happened to her if not for the Mandalorians.
Finally everything seemed to be in order, she didn't know what was happening and instead just watched and moved out of the way when she needed to. She pressed her back against one of the walls and eyed everyone carefully, trying to understand what they were feeling or doing without having to rely on the Force to tell her. Since most were still wearing helmets it made it even more difficult but she noted that Zero had taken his off and she could see his familiar face once again.
Part of her wanted to move over to the mandalorian who was quite obviously the leader, and the man who'd saved her life, but she didn't want to get in the way so she stayed pressed against the wall watching everything carefully and cautiously. First thing was first when she got back to a decent spaceport, she needed to freshen up from being in the damn heat for so long, and then she needed to find a transport off this god forsaken rock and not return for months or even years to come. Years preferable.

Runi nodded as Fi patted him on the back but even as he walked up the stairs after him Runi held his hands up and looked at the blood of two different species that was beginning to dry on his gloves. This was all he had left. To be a killer, a solider. It was the only thing tht gave his mind focus. His fathers words from his youth rang in his mind even as walked.
FLASH
"Always place the mission first Never accept defeat Never quit Never leave a fallen vod!"
The young Runi did his best to dodge another punch but only succeeded in taking it on the shoulder instead of his face. His father continued talking even as he circled him and kept attacking, never letting up the pressure. "You are a mandalorian, a warrior but also a member of a team. You will take pride in yourself in your equipment cause that is all that stands between you and the manda. Emotions, pain, thoughts have no place on the battlefield. A fight to the death is a fight where instinct is your greatest weapon. Now drop and knock out 50 push-ups. Then we're going for a little run."
They came back up and were surrounded by other mandalorians. These were Runi's friends, his family. He knew that they would always be no matter what the make-up off his blood. But that didn't mean that the hurt was not still deep in him. Any Force-sensitive would be able to read his inner pain and turmoil radiating like an open wound in the Force, Runi was not trained enough to shut himself away having no formal training but as he took his helmet off and clipped it on his belt all the other saw was stone cold indifference. A look that said the job was over, now what was the next one. Cause now that Ellie was gone the jobs were what kept him going, the jobs and the kill. The only way for him to vent his inner rage.
"Su'guy gar vode. Glad to see you finally caught up. Thought you were gonna leave me on this dustball forever." He slipped a little smile in to show that he meant no harm by his words. "Let's all get out of here, I need to wash off my armor and have a stiff drink."
The fortress had cleared out by now of any survivors leaving the group to walk free and clear out of the doors. But unbeknownst to them a small group of people stood where the stopped speeder was. All the figures wore dark black robes despite the desert heat and seemed oblivious to the sand whipping around them. "I sense them Master. One of them radiates the Light side of the Force. That must be the one we seek. The other...... I'm not sure. One second he seems like one of us, the next one of them." The Master of the small group of Sith nodded slowly. They had detected the trace while on the hunt through the desert for one of the illustrious Greater Krayt Dragons. The pearls formed in the gullets where known among Force users for their ability to be used in the creation of lightsabers, something the other members of his order were eager to gain. So he and his small party of two apprentices and a knight were sent here in search of them. The dragon had come this way and then went deeper and they had lost it. But it seemed they had found something much more interesting in return. "Should we go after them Master?" The Sith thought about it for a moment then shook his head. "No. We will wait and follow. And if an appropriate opportunity arises then we will strike my young apprentice......."

Zeronen shook his head at Runis little rant but he broke into a slight smile. “Oh come on Run’ika. You know you I never leave a vod behind” He said, and held up his hand as Fi threw him the mask. Catching it, Zeronen looked it over for a moment to verify it, “Neo Crusader emblems over the front forehead. Kan’dosii!” Zero said before he put the mask away, tucking it safely into his empty ordinance pouch. He let Runi pass and gave Fi a few orders quietly and in Mando’a before he turned to Star “you okay there Star?” he asked, as he stepped over to her, concerned for her. She may have been a fighter, but he doubted she’d seen much action as a mechanic, just the aftermath he figured.
Outside Fi walked up over the ridge link to the hover truck that was waiting for them. But movement on Mara’s wide range motion sensor caught her eyes. “Someone else is out there Fi.” She said, thumbing the safety off on her rifle. “How far out are they?” he asked, as he was doing the same for his MAR. “120 meters, 2 o’clock, the trucks at 10 o’clock so its not the guards” Mara said. “Fierfek!” Fi muttered under his breath “Right then, Mara, Fordo, get up there and scare them off.” He added after a moment of thought. The two Mandaloraisn nodded and starts to punch in some halo-keys on their gauntlets. The Z-6 jetpacks on their backs suddenly came to life and the two Mandaloraisn shoot off like Rockets into the air. At 100 meters off the ground they hovered and scanned the area to the remainder of the teams 2o’clock.
“Nothing, I don’t see anything.” Fordo said, but Mara was sure something was out there as she scanned with her rifles scope. “I know you’re out there, show your self.” She muttered as the two bobbed in the air. Mean while Fi was continuing with his orders and turned for the hover truck. Next to it was a single Gamorrean driver. ‘too easy’ Fi thought. Quickly he raised his weapon and fired, shooting the Gamorrean in the back of its’ head near the base of the things skull, dropping it instantly in a fatty mess, quickly he turned as the guard jumped out of the back of the truck, Waisting no time, Fi put three bolts into the over sized pigs chest and watched it fall back into the dusty sand as well. “Vehicle procured.” Fi said to himself, then jumped into the dives seat to take the truck back.
