OK, so i really want to try out one of my characters in a RP, so I decided to finally make an OOC for the RP that I made when I first joined.
So, down to business

Setting:In a forest in central Vermont, a little girl was left alone. It's set in present day, so no tech differences or other crazy things like that.

Background: My character was left on her own as a child in the Vermont forest. Everyone who lives in the forest hears and tells legends of a girl/woman (the legends change as she grows older) who roams the forest, helping strangers and protecting the lands from danger. Hardly anyone has seen her, but those who have say she's like a ghost.

Characters: Please use the given skelly for your characters and wait for me to have a look at your character before you start posting.
Spoiler: click to toggle

Kyre- This is my character
Spoiler: click to toggle

I hope you guys enjoy and have fun making your own characters. Keep in mind, you can be a camper, a hiker, a local, or another shape-shifter who lives around Kyre.

Larry Nightingale: We've met before.
Sally Sparrow: It'll come to you.

Larry Nightingale: You live in Scooby-Doo's house.
Sally Sparrow: Oh for God's sake, i don't LIVE here.

i'm not sure... He seems kind of mean... Not someone my character would put up with... the arrogance might be the kicker for Nuka

just a friendly note; usually, unless it seems like they'd be impossible for anyone to get along with, you -shouldn't- deny a character for his personality. at the same time, it is your rp, so it's up to you...

I'll whisper in your ear,
You are mine, and you will never have to be alone.
And when I pull you near,
You'll know I love you like I never loved anyone.
So let me be the one to lift you up,
I'll carry you home.
'Cause now I'm here to keep you safe,
And to catch you when you fall.

I'm not down-right refusing him... I'm just not sure about him... as for your character, i like him... Kyre will just be very aprehensive about him. I hope he doesn't go insane when he meets a new person.

ok... as long as he isn't overly excited when he finds Kyre, he should be fine and I won't ask too many questions

I like the idea... you can join, just be careful with the arrogance... my character doesn't need any more scarring

Name of Player: Blue Miller

Name of Character: Violet La’Viro

Age: In appearance, 23. Biologically..? Much, much older.

Creature: Guardian of Nature, Formerly Guardian of Water.

Powers: Elemental Mastery and Creature Summoning.

Physical description: Long, raven-black hair that comes down to her lower back. She dresses in a dark robe with a hood that keeps her face hidden for the most part. She also carries a mage’s staff around with her. It’s made entirely of oak, with a small gemstone as the headpiece. Her eyes are a deep and glowing cobalt blue, exemplifying her original affinity as the Water Guardian. Her skin is pale white, and her complexion is near perfect minus a scar that runs from the centre of her lower lip down to her belly-button.

Personality: Dark, Cold and Calculated. Not what you’d expect from a Guardian right? This girl has a tendency to say exactly what’s on her mind, regardless of the trouble it could no doubt cause her. She can back up her words in a fight well enough, however she prefers to stay out of the affairs of humans when she can help it.

Speaking of humans, she can’t stand them. The reason for this being that she holds them all responsible for the destruction of nature. She takes on a human form in order to keep up appearances. As far as communication with humans goes, her rudeness knows no bounds. If any one person were to gaze upon her true form, they would most certainly not live to tell of it later.

Flaw: If Violet ever had a vice, it was sure to be nature itself. She loves it all, the flora and fauna, and everything in between. The creatures of the wild are her family and the trees are her home. So it goes without saying that whenever trouble arises and the wilderness comes to harm, Violet will make the ones responsible pay with their lives.

How does your character react to new people: It really depends upon what is meant by people. If they are 100% human, it’s likely she’ll use her powers to frighten them off and out of the wilderness. Shapeshifters are less likely to be an issue with her, though she’ll still act with a certain dark attitude towards them. The only living things that she has ever shown kindness and compassion to are the creatures of the wild themselves.

How does your character react to a new environment? Once again, it would depend. A city, she’d likely attempt to cause some amount of destruction due to her absolute hatred of man-made design and invention. Anywhere in Nature suits her just fine, and her adaptability allows for her to prosper in any environment, from deserts to the bottom of the ocean.

Does your character have any fears: Yes. Seeing the entirety of Nature, and all its beauties, destroyed.

Any History: Violet has existed since the birth of the world itself, once one of the Four Guardians of Nature. For millions of years she studied nature and its growth. She watched it grow, become annihilated and then grow again. She saw evolution from its humble beginnings, and watched as one particular species grew to become superior amongst the rest. She could never have forseen in that time however, that said species would grow to become the great Destroyers of the World she and her fellow Guardians loved so dearly. Over time, through many great tragedies, the Guardians began to vanish one by one as humans gained their own foothold on the planet. And each time one of them ceased to exist, the others would gain its affinity. The last Guardian to disappear was the Guardian of Fire, in 1945. He’d attempted to contain the blasts caused by the bombings in Japan, and ending up using up his life force to do so.

Now the Last Guardian, Violet has no other choice but to continue on as she had before, continuing to try and maintain a balance of nature in the world. It has become increasingly difficult.

I like her... she has a very dark personality... how would she react to Kyre, who's lived in the forest since she was 5 and is a shape-shifter? I just want to make sure that everyone could get along if forced to.

Kyre's a Shapeshifter and a Human. Violet doesn't distinguish between individuals. She sees everyone with Human blood as the same. Regardless of Kyre's story, Violet will very likely treat her like she'd treat any other shapeshifter - not as rudely as if she were a full-blown human, but certainly with an attitude that is becoming of her as a Force of Nature who speaks her mind.

I'd just like to say though, it's not about characters "getting along". Conflict is central to most, if not all stories. We can all hate each others guts, but that's great, because it makes for amazing writing and even better reading.

For example: When you get into your character and have another person's character do something you don't like, you feel as your character does, which allows you to write with more emotion. If everyone got along and did as they were told, what kind of story would that make?

Anyways, that's my rant. Let's see how we go.
