Alright. That works. I'm totally psyched right not for this rp to get going... It is one of two rps that I'm in the middle of, and they're probably going to take up most of my online time

Yep, and it certainly will get moved along some more once Kira posts.
The first day is almost finished, so the connections that get set up the rest of today as well as tomorrow (the second day) will be really important going forward.

Heya Brothermines. I'll add a little more for you to play with, Featherbutt.
Also, never suggest me doing a profile of this nature again. It got a bit... long.
Spoiler: click to toggle
Player Name- Quillscale Character Name- Meg “Velkyn” Armstrong Gender- Female (Genderfluid.) Age- 20 Height- 5’4” Weight- 200 lbs Introvert/extrovert?- Introvert Sexual Preferences?- No fucks given mode. (Pansexual)
How does your character act in romantic encounters?- Awkward. Romance doesn’t come naturally to her, so normally she treats “romantic” encounters as no different than being with close friends. If someone starts calling it out as a date or something of that nature, she’s likely to scoff and make self-depreciating jokes, and try to generally brush it off and make it less… important than it is. (She really hasn’t been in many “romantic encounters,” when it comes right down to it, so she’s a bit… clueless.)
How does your character deal with romantic relationships? Include how they treat lovers.- She acts honestly very little different than she does with friends, as she can be rather… picky and hesitant to get into a relationship to begin with. But, whoever she’s together with has all of her, and she can be a touch… intense about it at times. She’s highly affectionate, and goes from unobtrusive and “mostly harmless,” to a touch on the obnoxious side, but walks a delicate line where she doesn’t want to be a pest, but wants to be together with “her’s.” She isn’t much for presents, and will fuss and grumble about any attempts to give her one, but in the end will accept it and cherish it. She’s uncomfortable with overly-doting, or exceptionally lovey-dovey individuals.
How does your character deal with their family?- Saying Meg doesn’t care might be an understatement. Her family exists, but about a year ago she recognized that they didn’t feel like family. After being taken advantage of and used to various degrees, she simply has decided that they don’t warrant any thought. They are blood related, and Meg is polite, but mostly would rather recluse herself from her blood ties.
How does character react with friends?- Friends are family. As she’s a bit of a pest to get to know in the first place, concentrating on being unobtrusive and easily passed over, she doesn’t attract people very well initially. Seeing her at ease, however, lets you see that obnoxiousness that sits near her core. She sometimes drifts away from her friends for weeks or even months at a time, but will come back just the same as ever as though this were normal behavior. She finds herself acting a mediator and diplomat often, keeping a sort of resonance about her circle of friends when possible, and is often forced into the more logical roles.
How does character react to strangers?- Strangers are unknown variables, and crowds are far too unpredictable for her tastes. While she thrives on chaos, it is chaos that she can predict to varying degrees and strangers throw that off. While civil and polite, Meg sticks to being unobtrusive and an observer whenever possible. She trusts no stranger at face value, they always have an ulterior motive. She definitely comes off as cold, quiet, and a distinct introvert. It doesn’t take much for her to fade into the background and near invisibility. She’s horrible at small talk, but if given a proper topic, one she’s interested in, she has no problems rambling with a “stranger” for long periods of time. Books, music, games, theories, and even just discussion on why someone thinks the way they do are wonderful topic starters with her.
What does your character fear? Specify their greatest fear.- While not her biggest fear, she does have a fear of driving. After taking physics in 11th grade, and calculating out all the forces involved in driving, she simply decided that vehicles were terrifying. She’s also terrified of large bodies of water, the idea of drowning being one of her biggest fears. She hates going on boats or ships. Rivers and the like, she’s fine with, but she absolutely refuses to go swimming in larger lakes and the like with deeper waters. She also seems to fear being useless.
What is their happiest memory?- That varies depending on the day. Sometimes it may be meeting a certain individual, other times it’s as simple as recalling laying and dozing in the sun.
What is their worst memory?- The morning her grandmother died, the Friday before she started 8th grade. She woke up earlier than normal, but that little voice in the back of her mind whispered to stay in bed. So, she did, and slept a bit longer. Her dad came in when he got home from work, as he worked nights, and told her of her grandmother’s passing. The next hour or two was spent sobbing into her pillows and blankets. She very likely has never properly mourned her grandmother’s passing, as the next week to month were spent being an immovable boulder for everyone else in her family, and she simply never got out of the habit.
How does your character deal with stress?- Meg deals with depression and stress in very similar ways. They are simply denied, and for all intents and purposes are buried and don’t exist. Things are not as bad as they could be (and she’s particularly talented at seeing the worst possible outcomes, so she knows full well it could be worse). They are thought through logically, and the small things are simply discarded as being unimportant for the most part. This means the amount of stress and depression she can take occasionally appears almost extraordinary, but it’s more because she decides certain things simply don’t matter that much in the long run. She’s fairly good at seeing the steps needed to get her from a “negative” point to a “positive” one, and believes in taking little steps at a time to “get better.” She only rarely has meltdowns and actually “explodes” or vents to others.
How does your character deal with intense fear?- It depends on what precisely she’s faced with. If alone, she tends to completely deny her fear, and shut down and bottle it up. She steps away from it, and proceeds to work her way through the bottled up fear logically to a point where she can function once more. It’s entirely possible for her to have panic attacks and the like. If there are other people around, she seems to be able to mimic their reactions to things rather than outwardly showing her own fear.
How does your character deal with depression?- Near identical to her dealing with stress, but with more logic usage. Occasionally, it may get to overwhelming points where it disturbs her ability to sleep and temporarily makes her a bit of an insomniac. But, she sees it as a cycle, and knows that in about a week, she’ll be back to denying depression, working through it logically, and knowing that others have it far worse than she does.
What is your character's greatest weakness?- Physical endurance for a start. When depression hits her, it hits hard, and she rarely takes the time to fully recover from it. She gives the illusion of being an open book, but is much more closed off, and is relatively easy to take advantage of in various ways simply due to always wanting to be useful. She rarely lets others do things she can do herself, due to being disappointed in other’s work fairly often. And simply a lack of caring, and laziness. What she does, she does thoroughly, but it has to be worth her time and effort. She can also hold extraordinarily long grudges. Her self-esteem isn’t the greatest either.
How is your character at following orders? Her ability to follow orders varies. If it is a logical order, and she sees the reasoning behind it, she’ll likely follow it. If she doesn’t, she will step back without a word, or perhaps find another way to get to the same goal herself. Orders from those she trusts are more likely to be listened to. If she sees it as a pointless order, she will either comply to keep others off her back about it, or simply ignore it as being unimportant.
Is your character a good leader? In a pinch? Yes. Mostly thanks to the way she thinks, finding solutions doesn’t tend to be difficult for her, and she can be rather vocal and stubborn when she thinks someone’s doing something stupid. However, she often won’t voice her own suggestions until directly asked and rarely speaks up. She might confide her own suggestions to a friend, and occasionally needs to be nudged into suggesting it. However, once she’s put into a “leadership” role, she takes it rather seriously, and doesn’t take lip very well. She can explain rather thoroughly precisely why her ideas and plans will work, and why something is the best decision in her own mind, even if another might not agree. She’s highly aware of her own flaws, and knows they’re rather numerous as well. But this is all hypothetical, she would rather just occasionally give decisive orders when everyone’s arguing on occasion to get things moving along.
How would your character react if witnessing an armed robbery?- There are many situations here. Overall, she would rather be ignored and memorize everything about the situation, and be able to go to the authorities with the information she gleaned.
How would your character deal with being mugged?- How many people? If it’s just one, particularly unarmed, in order to get anything on her person they have to come near her. Meg is not a lightweight, nor is she particularly fragile, and her core is deceptively muscled. The mugger wouldn’t be getting away without some effort on their part, and some injuries. By the same token, it depends on what precisely they wanted. Meg doesn’t carry much money on her, nor much of anything in reality. In the case of multiple muggers, or armed, she would probably simply flick some of the bills out of her pocket to them without much thought about it. It’s just money, and multiple opponents are too troublesome to deal with.
How would your character deal with a cheating lover?- Furious. Until she could work through it logically. It would take about a week before she could even begin to deal with it in a roughly “constructive” manner. The lover, as well as their… new partner, would be treated as strangers from that point on, or at least distant friends. It would heap on a fair amount of depression as well, getting into that lack of self-esteem and liking being useful, but that could be avoided if a reasonable explanation could be made as to why they did it. It drives her insane to not know what she “did wrong” at the very least to cause the chain of events that led to them… betraying her and that goes for friendships in general as well.
How would your character respond to unwanted advances? Perhaps from the same gender if they are hetero, or opposite gender if homosexual.- It depends honestly on how open the advances are. She’s a touch oblivious, and even if she recognizes them as advances will often doubt herself as to if they are or not. She doesn’t mind flirting back and forth, and cracking jokes, but if she finds out someone’s serious and she has no interest in them, her reaction depends on how well she knows the individual. A good friend will be told (a bit carefully) that she has no interest in them that way. Strangers will be blatantly told to bark up another tree, as they won’t find anything here.
What are your character's hobbies?- Music, reading, and video games. Roughly in that order. She enjoys writing, and is just now beginning to get into the whole “exercising” thing for what she calls “practical reasons.” She could be perfectly content to lay out on the grass in the sun as well though. She enjoys hanging out with a small group of friends, playing D&D, and sparring as well. She use to ride minibikes, go-karts, and 4 wheelers as well when she was younger.
Talents- Perhaps her biggest talent is simply the way Meg thinks. She has a knack for translating other people’s thoughts, or being able to follow their thought patterns with ease. Her brain often is going in a million directions at once, figuring out every possible solution and situation as well as determining how people will interact together. Saying that she’s good at planning may be an understatement, though she often claims she’s just going with the flow. Some of its subconsciously planned. She’s capable of near completely shutting down her emotional responses as well, and working through things on sheer logic. Masks and mimicking other’s attitudes and emotions seems to come naturally to her. She can also sing a little bit, and play clarinet though she’ll rarely tell anyone. She absorbs information a bit like a sponge, easily breaking down concepts into their easiest forms and capable of regurgitating the most basic version of information given to her with a fair amount of accuracy, and little bias. She very easily forgets the details her brain designates as “unimportant,” however.
How did your character do in school?- Saying Meg was a decent student might not be giving her enough credit. Anything below an 80 on a report card was… unheard of if you discount math. By senior year she was in college level English and chemistry, and sailing through them with relative ease. She dipped her toes in Theater as well, but wasn’t particularly hardcore into it, as well as computer programming (which she got bored with due to the slow pace of the class). Rather unobtrusive however, she would likely be surprised if any of her teachers honestly recalled who she was. She dropped out of college after her first semester, and is only now starting to go back part time and take some gen ed classes.
Is your character employed? If so, where?- Yes. A bit of a jack-of-all-trades for her step-father’s sister, she does whatever work needs to be done at the restaurant, as well as babysits on occasion. Once in a great while, she might drive cab for them as well, but that’s a very rare occurrence.
Where does your character live?- An apartment she rents from her employer in Jefferson County, New York.
Why is your character in New York city at the start of the story?- Meg visited NYC before, several years ago. As much as she hates crowds and strangers, she fit in just fine and probably would have enjoyed herself if she hadn’t been there with her dad and his family. (Note, that she doesn’t think of them as her family.) It was a rather arbitrary decision to come down to the city, she simply had the money for it and decided she wanted to. She’s been about for a couple of days already, but never quite looked the part of a tourist. She simply… blended. Melded with all the natives, in her mostly harmless, unobtrusive ways.
She's also come to pick up a beautiful 3 foot long ball python female from a seller in the city. Yeah, she could have gotten one nearer, but eh. She needed a vacation anyhow.
Life Goals (short term)- Get out of debt, start college fulltime, get a cat, overcome fear of driving. Life Goals (long term)- Get a career, small house, read every religious text in existence, learn more about the way people think. Relationship status- Single. Not particularly looking, not particularly avoiding the idea. Immediate family members- Mom, step-dad, younger half-sister, younger half-brother. Dad, step-mom, older step-brother, younger step-sister (none of them particularly important.)
History- Meg’s history is quite honestly rather mundane. Her mother and father divorced before she could remember them ever being together, but she handled it in that typical, naïve, child-like fashion that children do. It was simply a fact of life for her that never really phased her. After all, Meg had never been a mommy’s girl, or daddy’s girl for that matter (though she did possess that near-awe and unshakable, irrational faith in her father that often characterizes such children). Meg was a “grandma’s girl,” and was quite simply spoiled. Though her mother moved about fairly often in the small area called Upstate New York, Meg always had her grandma’s 40 acres of woods to call home, no matter the circumstances. In fact, her mother’s house even burned down at one point, but Meg simply moved in with her grandma and father with little to no disruption in her life.
The first real disruption and crack in the walls of her small, sheltered world came with the death of her grandmother the Friday before 8th grade started. After that point, she was shuffled between her dad and her aunt, as her dad was still working the night shift, and finally moved in with her aunt. High school was a curious experience, and actually overall rather good for her. She matured past caring about the jeers and comments made by others, and got into theater which began showing the teen’s more obnoxious side, as well as getting rid of almost any traces of modesty. She finally made something that could be called a stable circle of friends, and continued to do impressively well in her classes as always. During all of this, her father had essentially moved to Canada (After promising for years that she would move up there with him one day). Her child-like, naïve faith in her father was finally broken while she was in high school, and she decided she simply had to take care of things herself and disregard any help she was “suppose” to get from family.
Immediately out of high school, Meg went into college where she introduced herself as Velkyn, an online handle she had picked up over the course of her high school years that felt more like her name than her real name ever had. Unfortunately, she had never properly dealt with a handful of things in her history she should have, lacked her protective netting of friends, and was forced into a situation with too many new people for her to ever settle down. Quite simply, she never relaxed for the semester she was at college, and finally simply shattered. She didn’t return, and instead lived with her mother for a period of time. She did a lot of babysitting and the like there while she tried to recover from that rather major meltdown, and was finally offered a job by her step-father’s sister, as well as an apartment.
She accepted immediately. Yes, things have been left out, but this is the barest version of it, and about all that Meg/Velkyn really thinks matters to any degree, so most of the “unimportant details” have been discarded and forgotten over time.

I've been working on a post. I need time to finish it but this is to all my players who are still interested to let you know I haven't forgotten about this.
*Edit: Okay... I seriously felt the fever I originally had for this rp... I managed to stay conscious enough to type it all out from my notes. Now I am exhausted but incredibly happy. Expect a more timely response from me in the next round... You know... If you all decide to stick around. Thanks again for everything you have done to make this my favorite rp I've done on this site.
Sincerely,
Poise

I'm tempted to join in, but I'd like to know what classifies this as a fantasy RP? I mean, I'm more into RPs that include dragons or anything great interest that I might like...

The definition of fantasy: anything that cannot generally be explained or determined by modern, common means such as logic or common sense.
There are no dragons in this, this is described as a Fantasy RP because people are gonna have Gods put in them. That is not realistic, that is Fantasy. If you want to consider joining, fill out a character sheet and my brother will either approve, tell you to fix it, or direct you to something you would enjoy more.
And yes, I know part of my statement can be taken wrong
